and welcome to my first windbreaker fic because sakura haruka easily became one of my comfort characters so here we are! first and foremost, let's set the important things straight:

while i am within the nonbinary umbrella and would love to write fics where the mcs are gender-neutral or have a vague gender identity, this fic will have a female!mc. i've thought about making the gender more neutral but decided otherwise after i pondered which direction this story would go. while the mc does not care much for their own gender, their womanity will matter a lot because, unlike my other stories, misogyny and gender equality/expectations will be explored here! i am sorry if this isn't for you. i'm sure there are plenty of other reader fics that you'd be into :)

i actually was also thinking of whether to make this an oc story or not, but you know what - i'm putting it out there and letting everyone (lovely readers) choose whether to take mc's place or not, though i will apply a certain characterization to the mc since it gets difficult to cater to everyone. and i want mc to have a distinctive personality instead of a messy jumble thrown together.

any warnings for triggering topics will be put in chapters, excluding windbreaker's general theme of violence and angst. i will use this story to deliver darker themes that windbreaker did not explore.

do expect manga spoilers. however, i'm also planning for the storyline to divert from canon so not everything will be the same.

and of course, very obviously, windbreaker and characters aside from mc and the ones i made belong to satoru nii!
