"Gods exist, Lily. Your mother was a goddess."

~•~•~•~•~•~•~•

"HEY."

Lily Evans's eyes stared at the cheerleader standing in front of her, smiling widely.

"Can I sit here? I'm Ramona!" The cheerleader said cheerfully, pointing at the seat beside Lily.

"Sure. Lily Evans," the redhead answered, eyes narrowed in suspicion.

"Of course I knew that, demigod," Ramona hissed suddenly, her hair turning red and orange and yellow until it looked like...fire?!

Lily jumped up immediately, backing towards the side of the empty classroom just as Ramona took out a dagger. This girl, if she could be called girl, wasn't human. Ramona started to walk towards Lily, and that was when the redhead realised how awkwardly the cheerleader was walking.

"Scum like you should die," Ramona hissed, raising her dagger.

"Who the fuck are you?" Lily screamed, running towards the locked door of the classroom. Ramona hissed with laughter as she limped towards Lily, sneering.

Then, Lily still could not understand how, Ramona's dagger leapt into the air, then flew towards Lily whose hands immediately caught it. For a moment, both looked too surprised to speak.

Then, Ramona screamed harshly and made a grab for Lily, but the redhead was faster and threw the dagger at the cheerleader, hard. It hit Ramona's chest and all that was left of the cheerleader was a pile of dust. That was when the door opened.

"Miss Evans!" Ms. MacKinley, the infamous Chemistry teacher, screeched angrily. "What do you think you are doing? With that knife buried inside a desk and you standing there? Weapons are forbidden in Sabiduria Institute!"

Ah. Typical name of a typical school. Sabiduria was Spanish for wisdom.

"I- Ma'am there was this cheerleader!" Lily stuttered, gesturing wildly with her hands and trying to explain all that happened.

"Lies!" Ms. MacKinley yelled. "Utter lies! Mr. Knoedler must deal with you! I told him not to admit brats like you in this school!"

Oh well, she was reffering to Lily's record of unable to stay in a school for more than an year. So that was how Lily found herself sitting in the Headmaster's office, glaring at him.

Mr. Frederick Uranus Christopher Knoedler, or Mr. FUCK, as Liky preffered, was a man who could be passed comfortably for a walrus. He had a giant belly, and an even more enormous moustache on his large, round and red face. His face looked like several tankers of oil were poured over it. Really, the first time Lily met him, all she wanted to do was take a tissue and wipe at his face, though I doubt that one would have been enough.

"Miss Evans." Argh, even his fucking voice was oily.

"Sir," Lily said with gritted teeth.

"If your father hadn't given me so much money, I would have chucked you out if here," Mr. FUCK said, none-too-kindly.

"Because you are a money-hungry bastard," Lily mumbled. Deaf as he was to others opinions, Mr. FUCK did not hear her at all and instead chose to play with his fucking weird excuse of a moustache.

"Miss Evans...you have broken too many rules..." Mr. FUCK sighed dramatically, as if Lily breaking rules was a huge tragedy, like Romeo and Juliet.

"Yes, sir," Lily forced out.

"And..." Mr. FUCK opened his laptop, typed out something, then printed it out on a paper and signed it with his enormous loopy excuse of a signature. He pushed it towards Lily and said, "Miss Lily Evans, you are...EXPELLED! Get out of my sight!"

"Glad to do that!" Lily yelled back and, enjoying Mr. FUCK's flabbergasted expression, spun on her heel and ran out of the door.

"Why are we here?" Lily frowned, staring out of the car's window.

"Patience, Lily," Mr. Malcolm Evans sighed, taking a left turn so their car was now passing a in-construction building. He stopped the car and came out, gesturing for Lily to join him as well.

"We are the outskirts of Manhattan though!" Lily exclaimed, gaping at her father who was now leaning against the car, his eyes on the darkening sky.

"We are." Mr. Evans nodded in confirmation. "And we need to talk, about you, your odd ways, and why we are here."

"Dad," sighed Lily, shaking her head. "I am sorry. I don't know why I can't stay at one school for more than an year! Weird things happen to me, Dad! Fire breathing cheerleaders, daggers flying near me, the blowing up of toilets, I have no idea how this stuff happens!"

"I understand," Mr. Evans said simply. His emerald eyes bore into those of Lily's, shining with keen interest and understanding. He was no older than thirty-five, but his eyes showed how much he had seen in his life. He was a Theology professor, but at times it seemed like he knew much more than he showed to public.

"You, Lily, are special," Mr. Evans started again. "Special in a sense few modern people are. Gods exist, Lily. Your mother was a goddess. A Greek goddess."

Lily staggered back a few steps, eyes wide and fists clenched. All her life, her father had avoided the topic of Lily's mother, never telling her who the mysterious woman was. All he told her was that he met her when he was in Greece, working on a Theology project for his university.

"Dad- what? Greek goddesses?" Lily demanded.

"And Gods," Mr. Evans added, sighing sadly. "She--your mother--told me to send you here when you are twelve or thirteen, I did not and I'm facing the consequences of my actions."

"Which place?" Lily stared at him, puzzlement all over her face. "What? Is it magical or something? Invisible?"

"Sort of, yes." Mr. Evans's eyes wandered over the place and rested upon the mountains behind the building, eyes narrowed. That was when Lily noticed a small shapes walking towards them.

Actually, not small. A boy, a girl and a half-horse came towards them. The boy looked about her age, with shaggy blonde hair and light amber eyes. The girl had extremely curly black hair and pale green eyes.

"Malcolm, Lily," Horse-Man greeted them.

"Er.." Lily shifted awkwardly.

"Right," the girl interuppted, offering her hand towards Lily, who shook it. "I'm Dorcas Meadowes, daughter of Hephaestus. This dude here is Remus Lupin, son of Athena and this is our mentor, teacher and inspiration, Chiron."

"Yes indeed," Remus Lupin said with a soft smile.

"I'm flattered, Dorcas," chuckled Chiron. "For the time being, Lily, you are safe with us, at Camp Half-Blood."

"Dad, what--?" Lily turned to Mr. Evans who was staring at her.

He sighed, "Lils, you'll be safe here. I'll visit you every Wednesday and Sunday, I swear. And you can e-mail me from Chiron's office. Rest shall be explained by him and Mr. D, whoever the man is. Please take care and stay safe."

Lily nodded shakily and hugged him, then watched his car drive out of her sight. Turning to Chiron, she raised her head high and said confidently, "Alright, we've to show me the wonders of this godly world, let us proceed."

"I like this one!" Dorcas announced, grinning cheerfully.
