James had never felt so drained out after flying.
Back at Camp Half-Blood, he would spend hours flying above the mountains and the woods, watching the sunsets and sunrises, but with anemoi attacking him and holding up two people at once was hard, especially with the fact that Aelous's palace had strong gravity. It had taken all of his strength to remain airborne.
"Lay down, you stupidly awesome idiot," Emmeline commanded, pushing James down on his bed and checking his temperature.
"At least you admit that I'm awesome," James said cheekily. Emmeline whacked the back of his head with her hand and shook her head.
"You gotta rest, man," she told him sternly. "I'm going to give the Lord of Darkness II some ambrosia and nectar. He was fighting off some super-angry air nymphs."
"Oh really? Give my best to Sirius," James said gravelly and dramatically. With another eye roll, Emmeline walked out of his cabin and left him alone to sip tea and nibble some crackers.
He was not, however, left alone as Remus and Lily walked inside his cabin and started to fuss over him.
"Jeez, I'm fine!" James protested as Remus checked his pulse. "I wasn't on death's doorstep, guys!"
"Good, because Thanatos make sure that no one who arrives on his doorstep leaves ever again," Lily said, shaking her head as she fed him some ambrosia squares. Oh well, if passing out meant Lily Evans feeding him, James would probably be passed out for the rest of his life.
His "crush" on her still had not left and it had been almost five years. Needless to say, it was more than a crush.
"How is Frank doing?" James asked after they were assured that he was not going to die right now.
"Oh, cool," answered Remus. "That seeds were something. I knew Valerie Simpson was up to something when she handed him those."
"They are magical!" Lily piped in. "A child of Hecate would be very impressed."
"And Sirius and the others?" James amused himself by making a pillow fly in front of him.
"Sirius got a nasty cut on his arm while fighting, but he's okay now. And the others are good," Lily assured him.
"But Marlene has something to say," Remus said with a frown.
"Like?" James raised his eyebrows.
"Her dreams are showing her visions," said Lily slowly.
"Of a place in Quebec," added Remus.
"How does she know that its in Quebec?" James asked, frowning.
"She says that she's been there with her Dad," said Lily. "Its near her summer home, she's sure of that."
"She isn't very open about her past," noted Remus. "Sirius is trying to understand what she means."

"Its a sort of well," Marlene said, fumbling with her hair. "I'm sure I've seen it deep inside the woods! A glance, perhaps, but its the same place!"
"Okay, but how does it look like?" Sirius asked ner calmly, squeezing one of her hands comfortingly.
Marlene's frown deepened. "Its far inside the woods, and the trees are dense and dangerous there. Owls and snakes are very common around it. The well thingy is large and deep inside the ground. I never looked into it but the place always has a scent of watered soil."
"Water," mumbled Sirius. "Emmeline's biggest fear is deep water. After she nearly drowned once at the age of seven, she avoids deep waters like the sea or rivers."
"The woods!" exclaimed Marlene. "They'll prevent us from escaping (assuming that no monster comes out of the well thing) and Frank, son of nature, son of Demeter, will somehow get us out of there!"
"Boom! We solved the second stanza!" Sirius said, amused.
"Lets tell this to everyone!" Marlene jumped up and kissed him before calling out for the others.

"Dad! Dad!" A seven-years-old Emmeline Vance laughed as she stood at the shore of the beach, watching the water in awe.
"Its beautiful right?" Mr. Vance smiled at her. He held his phone to his ear and walked a few steps away, talking to his friend.
Emmeline eagerly walked deeper and deeper into the waters, until it was up to her hips. She dived forward, thinking that the waters were still shallow, but they were not.
"DAD!" she screamed, her hand splashing the water and her head bobbing up and down on the surface.
Mr. Vance turned, alarmed, and ran towards her, pulling the crying Emmeline out of the water and wrapping her in a towel.
"Shh, Em, its okay. You are fine," he whispered to her, rubbing her back.
"I-I h-hate w-w-water!" Emmeline wailed, turning her eyes away from the glittering blue sea she had admired seconds earlier.
"Emmy!" Dorcas's voice brought Emmeline back into reality, back in the present. She calmed herself by taking deep breaths.
"Yeah?" Emmeline turned to her girlfriend, lacing her fingers through Dorcas's.
"You were thinking about that drowning incident, right?" Dorcas said softly, her head tilted to one side. It was a gesture Emmeline found very cute.
"Yeah.." Emmeline shifted uneasily, staring out of the window of her cabin. Novalunosis, what a wonderful feeling it was. The moonlight peeked through the window, illuminating the small, but cozy room. Emmeline's bow and quiver lay in the corner, while her bag, containing daily supplies like clothes and vanity items, was kept at the foot of the bed.
"Don't worry." Dorcas kissed her and hugged her tightly. "We'll make it. We always do, remember?"
"Yes," breathed Emmeline, burying her face in Dorcas's very curly hair. "We'll make it. We always do."
And I'll face my fears, Dad, she thought. Thank you, for warning me. I'll not let my fears control this quest for me.
Fears. What strange things.
