I grind my teeth together, simmering in my annoyance and anger as Dick pulls up to the church. I'm back in his car. At least Magenta bitch rode in the backseat. Cause I was not doing that again.

Dick hops out quickly, flashing his badge at the officer. I sigh as Magenta's hand lands on the headrest looking impatient waiting for me to get out.

Count to five.

Five.

I throw the door open not bothering to move the seat up for her. I stretch my fingers in and out, desperately needing a drink. I don't need this shit. Why am I having to clean up a whiny, moody teenager's business?

I have a whiny, moody teenager I can deal with at home, that I actually like.

"She must've lost control." Dick breathes out, taking in the sight of the charred church.

"Wow, great observation, Dick, what gave that away?" I fire out.

"Maybe she's still here." Magenta offers. Did she give us a name? Cause Magenta's getting old.

Dick swiftly moves over to the ambulance, Magenta jogs to catch up as I click slowly behind them. Like she'll still fucking be here... The paramedic steps away to reveal the shady nun.

"Hey, where's Rachel?" Dick questions. "Is she okay?"

The nun bitch shakes her head. "She left. Ran." Mmmm. Who's wrong? Never me.

"What happened? Huh?" Magenta bends down to the nuns level.

"We just wanted to keep her here." Nun bitch cries. Hmmm, sounds very against-her-will to me if she blew the place up. "Keep her safe, that's all. Where no one could hurt her and she couldn't hurt anyone."

"And how'd that work out for ya?" I raise a brow, narrowing my eyes at her, and Dick's eyes quickly glance over at me.

"There's no stopping it now." Nun bitch stands abruptly.

"Stopping what?" Dick asks harshly.

"There's no stopping it now." She repeats as the paramedic comes back over, ushering her to sit back down. "Oh, God. God, forgive me." I think God has bigger things to handle right now...

Dick turns away.

"God forgive us all." The nun shouts causing me to jerk away and catch up with Dick, Magenta hot on our heels.

"Why did you two leave her here?" She questions.

Dick spins around. "In a convent full of nuns? Yeah, seemed real dangerous." He snaps.

I cross my arms, squeezing tightly to avoid the pressure building in my head from lack of something strong. "Uh, news flash, new chick." I wave my hands out in front of her. "She wanted to be left here."

"And you know, you're the one who stole my car and drove off." Dick jumps back in and I hide my shock that he just backed me up instead of lecturing me for sassing the hooker woman in front of us. I mean hell, I may dress like a hooker but at least I don't look tacky—

"Yeah, I thought between the both of you, you could handle her for a few minutes, but I should've known better considering you two ditched her in DC." She shoots back at us.

I groan, rolling my eyes. Please. Give me a break.

"We didn't—" Dicks starts before I snap my head to give him a wild look of audacity. "I didn't mean to ditch her, okay? I was trying to—"

"You just couldn't handle her so you left her with your friends." Magenta cuts him off. "It's pathetic."

"It's not our job to handle her." I scoff. Where the hell does this bitch find her audacity?  She looks at me. I smirk. "And more pathetic than a grown woman stalking a teenager?" I eye her boredly. She blinks at my words. Yeah, that's right. Two can play at this game and only one of us is better at it.

"Look, can we argue about this after we find her, okay?" Dick speaks up, looking between the two of us before he starts off again.

"No, you know what, fuck this." I snap causing Dick to stop in his tracks with a sigh. "I'm done."

"Don't star—" He glances over his shoulder.

"No, I'm gonna." I bulldoze over him trying to interrupt me. "I told you I was giving you a day, then til Washington, how long is this gonna go on, Dick? Hmm? Please. Enlighten me." I rake my tongue across my teeth. And if I'm around you another minute I'm gonna lose. my. shit. Even further. I keep that part to myself.

He's fully facing me now, eyes boring into mine. "Where you gonna go? Hmm? With a bike that doesn't start?"

My nostrils flare. "I'll figure. It. Out." I spit out.

"Thought we were done arguing?" Magenta says, placing her hand on her hip. I swear to the nun's God—

"Just help look for her, okay? Please?" Dick shifts legs. "Then I promise you, I'll take you to get your bike fixed." He nods to me.

I snort. "You word doesn't mean shit to me." I look him in the eyes as he stares back at me. The same stare that's haunted me. But my face remains blank. Empty. Done.

"Let's just find Rachel first." He pleas, voice full of desperation. "You're not gonna get far on your own." He adds, like he knows my plan was to stomp off and start pushing my bike far away from this hellhole until I find civilization. Or kill over. Whichever one hopefully came first, either sounding great to me.

The back of my teeth tighten as I hold my burning gaze a second longer before sighing. I shove past him. He takes a moment before following.

"She's getting more powerful." Magenta breaks the short moment of silence. Oh right, forgot she was here. How... lovely of her to have just witnessed that.

"Yeah, but she's still a kid." Dick argues as I fall slightly behind him, having no fucking clue where to go. "Alone and scared and on the run."

I chuckle to myself at the irony of his words.

A kid. Alone and scared and on the run. Hmm.

Wow, hey... it's been a minute lmao, more like over a year...

This book desperately needs edited which if I recall was what I was in the process of doing last time I touched this book haha. I cannot believe it's been thing long omg.

Alison is one of my very first oc's & one of my top fav oc's. She is very special & will always, always hold such a special place in my heart. It felt kinda weird honestly to write her after so long, butttt I hope y'all enjoyed this chapter!!

I miss everything about this book, Alison, & Alison & Dick omg, I NEED to get back this very soon!! But until then... mwah!! ;)
