Jungkook had always been good at slipping through cracks unseen, at weaving himself into the fabric of shadows.

He was the perfect spy, the perfect weapon. And yet, as he stood before the Syndicate's stronghold, staring at the looming fortress hidden deep within the city's underbelly, he felt something strange gnaw at his chest.

Two sets of eyes watching him from opposite ends of the palace.

Taehyung, the golden prince, and V, the shadow prince. Twin brothers who ruled different sides of the same empire, yet both had their gaze fixed on him.

Jungkook shook his head, pushing the thought away. Now was not the time for distractions.

His contact had gone silent three nights ago with the palace.

He knows lord of syndicate knew but Jungkook never ran. He was here to finish what they started.

Slipping into the underground tunnels, he moved swiftly, his daggers sheathed but ready. The air was thick with damp rot, and every step forward sent echoes along the cavernous halls. He wasn't alone. He could feel it.

A sharp clang broke the silence. Jungkook twisted, drawing his blade just in time to block a strike aimed at his ribs. The force sent him skidding backward.

"Fast," the assassin mused, his mask revealing only cold eyes. "But not fast enough."

Jungkook smirked. "I like a challenge."

The fight was brutal, a dance of steel and shadows.

Jungkook moved like liquid fire, dodging, striking, flipping off walls when necessary. The assassin was skilled, but Jungkook had fought deadlier. In three moves, he had his opponent pinned, blade slashed across his throat.

He sighed the weight of his mission pressed on his shoulders, but there was something else-a feeling, a presence. He was being followed.

A smirk ghosted over his lips. He knew exactly who it was.

Lyra.

She thought she was subtle, blending into the darkness like a whisper on the wind, but Jungkook had spent his entire life honing his senses.

He could feel the slight shift in air, the faintest of sounds her breath made when she exhaled, the way her energy pulsated just behind him.

He sighed, barely tilting his head. "You're really bad at this, you know."

Lyra smirked, stepping over the assassin's body. "You're really bad at going solo, you know?"

Jungkook scoffed, wiping his blade. "And you're really bad at being sneaky. I heard you ten minutes ago."

Lyra shrugged. "Yeah? Then why didn't you stop me?"

Jungkook smirked. "Figured I'd let you witness perfection up close."

She rolled her eyes. "Perfection? Please, I saw at least three mistakes."

Jungkook scoffed. "And yet, I'm the one standing here with a clean kill."

Lyra smirked, twirling her dagger."Lucky shot. Bet I could've done it faster."

Jungkook stepped closer, smirking."Oh? Then why are you still running backup."

But before she could argue, the sound of boots against stone shattered the duo's moment.

Syndicate guards.

Jungkook moved first.

The first guard barely had time to scream before Jungkook's dagger found his throat.

The second lunged, but Lyra intercepted, her blade dancing in the dim light. They fought in perfect sync, cutting through their enemies with practiced ease.

A final guard crumpled, and both wiped their blade clean. "Nice of you to join the party."

Lyra didn't respond immediately, her eyes scanning the dark corridor. "We need to move. They know you're here."

Jungkook grinned. "I know."

Meanwhile....

The twin princes, were back at the palace, pacing, waiting, tension coiling in their chests like an unsprung trap. (danm feels like wifes waiting for their hubby!!🤧🙂)

They were identical yet vastly different-one bathed in golden light, the other carved from shadows. And both, unknowingly, drawn to the same enigma.

Jungkook✨👑.

Taehyung stood at the highest balcony, his golden eyes fixed on the horizon. His grip on the railing was white-knuckled.

"He's fine," V's voice cut through the silence.

Taehyung barely spared his twin a glance. "How do you know?"

V leaned against the stone, his dark cloak blending into the night. "Because he's Jungkook."

Taehyung exhaled sharply. "And that's supposed to reassure me?"

V smirked. "You care too much."

Taehyung's jaw clenched. "And you don't care at all?"

Silence stretched between them.

V finally spoke, his voice softer. "I never said that."

Their gazes met, unspoken words crackling in the air. Neither of them had ever admitted it-not to each other, not to themselves-but the truth lingered, undeniable.

They were both in love with the same man.

And neither of them knew what to do about it.
------------

Jungkook and Lyra reached the Syndicate's inner sanctum, their bodies pressed against the cold stone as they surveyed the room ahead.

Jungkook's pulse thrummed. This was it.

Jungkook's grip tightened around his blade, its edge gleaming under the dim light of the underground chamber.

Across from them, the Lord of Shadows sat unfazed, his cloak billowing as if he commanded the darkness itself.

Lyra, hidden in the recesses of the cavern, watched with narrowed eyes.

A slow, taunting chuckle echoed through the chamber.

"You should have stayed in your palace, little spy," the Lord of Shadows drawled, his voice like silk laced with venom. "Or did the king send you as a sacrifice?"

Jungkook smirked. "I prefer the term- reckless strategist."

Without warning, the Lord lunged.

Jungkook barely had time to twist, parrying the attack, but the force sent him skidding back. His boots scraped against the stone floor as he countered, slashing towards the man's midsection.

The Lord twisted effortlessly, his movements eerily fluid, as if he were more shadow than flesh.

A sharp pain bloomed across Jungkook's shoulder-a dagger, thrown with precise aim, sliced through his skin.

He hissed but didn't falter, forcing himself to ignore the warm trickle of blood soaking into his sleeve.

"Too slow," the Lord taunted, his expression a mask of amusement.

Jungkook clenched his jaw. He had fought countless battles, but this was different. The Lord wasn't just a formidable opponent; he was playing with him.

Lyra saw it too. Her heart pounded against her ribs as she assessed the fight.

Jungkook was fast, but the Lord was a step ahead, predicting every move. If she didn't act now-
