Morgan Carter thought that Cordell Walker will love her to the end of time. Despite their somewhat questionable relationship, they had loved each other. At least that's what Morgan kept trying to tell herself at least.

Cordell was only just a couple years older than Morgan; she was the quiet kid who had aspirations of being a guitarist. It was her dream, to be on stage singing her songs that she had written.

Until it came crashing down a couple months later, he had suddenly left without a word and or anything to her. She had spent countless years and countless nights thinking that he had wanted nothing to do with her, but that was far from the truth.

Which she'd learn years later, when she sees him again, as her partner after his wife died. But that is a story for another day.
