When Eri was younger, she was a soft-spoken girl. But slowly she started to be very blunt and sharp-tongued. Some people see her as stuck-up and rude because that's the way she portrays herself to those she doesn't like or care about. She tends to control herself from hurting others' feelings and has always been a caring person. Some say that she cares a bit too much about her friends and her family, clearly, it was enough for her to almost kill Akito for what he's done to her friends. She's loyal till the end. Though she struggles a bit to communicate how she feels when it comes to certain topics. Love and romance, in general, have a habit of overwhelming her a bit, she turns red as hell. When flustered, she tries to hide away or hurt whoever is making her this way, anything that works. She tries to stay happy about the cursed zodiacs to make them happy even if she can see their loneliness and the darkness that surrounds them all.

Eri grew up quite a happy child with her older brother, she accepted the fact that she would never be able to hug him without him turning but that never stopped the two from bonding. Nor did it strong her from becoming friends with the other zodiacs even Kyo. Most of them wormed their way to her heart. Though that also meant she was aware of the abuse Akito was doing to the zodiacs. It became too much for her to take. It led to a night where Eri let her dark thoughts creep in, when she was thirteen years old, she broke into Akito's room and beat him half to death before she was taken away by Kureno. Akito retaliated, banning her from the Sohma estate completely, and keeping her brother away from her. Hatori was forced to put his little sister in a mental asylum where she was kept locked away from everyone else, isolated for two years. It didn't take long for Haru and Momiji to break her out, and with the help of his father, get her a place and enroll her into the same school that Kyo and Yuki attend.

Later on, Akito learns of Eri spending time in the summer house with the other Sohma from Shigure. And things start to get worse from there, especially when seeing how close the zodiacs were slowly becoming with her and Tohru. After returning back, Eri gets into a mysterious accident in front of the others that leaves her hospitalized for a while. That's when Eri puts the pieces together and is forced to push Haru away from her as much as possible to avoid getting him in trouble.....

Hatsuharu 'Haru' Sohma (Eri & Haru have quite a long history since they were children. She was usually around the other zodiacs because her older brother is one. Which meant she was able to meet everyone and grow up with them. She grew very attached to Haru and Rin. They were the three musketeers. Though along the way the two developed feelings for one another but they kept it a secret between two. They are dating, later engaged, and then married with twins)
