S2:E2 " Just The Tip"

Aphrodite was ecstatic. Excited far beyond explanation .

After two months of the same old routine, (wake up, eat, go to work, and sleep) she was finally going to see her best friend of 10 years.

Alexa Perez and Aphrodite Collins met during their freshman year of high school when the former transferred in the middle of the school year.

Aphrodite was typically a closed-off person who typically stuck to a small group of people. Yet, she and Alexa connected almost instantly.

Each girl knew the other like the back of their hand. The two were soulmates and always attached at the hip.

Alexa had been confused about her sexuality while they were teens but Aphrodite assured her everything was gonna be fine.

They were each other's first kisses and there were a few after that. Although, it never became anything serious. The girls only saw each other as friends, best friends.

At the beginning of their sophomore year, Alexa came out as a lesbian, and Aphrodite announced she was bisexual shortly after.

The two faced a bit of backlash, such as some guys on the football team spraypainting hateful slurs on their lockers.

They always got through it no matter what, because they had each other. Always and forever.

The years had only made their friendship stronger. To the point where they could go weeks without talking, and end up back in sync as soon as they saw each other.

Two months was a bit long, but work had kept them busy.

Alexa spent her time focusing on her paid internship at the DA's office while also still attending law school.

She finally took some time off and was ready to see her best friend.

The two had decided to meet for lunch and catch up on each other's lives.

But before that, Aphrodite had other plans.

She's a very busy girl indeed.

It was 5 am, 5:27 to be exact and the greek goddess named woman was tired as hell- for lack of a better word.

She had gotten inspiration for a painting late last night and stayed up until 2 am painting it.

Lucky for her, she has a giant pot of coffee in front of her.

Love had invited her and Will out to the market early in the morning for some reason. Who buys food at this time?

Don't get her wrong, she likes spending time with Love and Will but she hates the early-rising part of it.

She pushed aside her tiredness and took a shower.

The trio was walking around the market together until Will wandered off for a minute leaving, Love and Aphrodite alone.

As soon as they realized they'd lost Will the duo became silent.

They glanced at each other until it become more of a stare.

The next thing Aphrodite knew, Love was pressing her lips against hers.

It was completely unexpected so she paused for a moment, before eagerly returning the kiss.

Fireworks went off in each woman's head, feeling the chemistry that exploded from them as their lips met.

The two got lost in the warm feeling, not noticing the pair of eyes on them.

Love put her tongue against Aphrodite's lip, asking for entrance.

This woke them from their trance and the two pulled away before it turned into a full-blown make-out session.

PDA isn't usually Aphrodite's thing but Love had caught her off guard.

An awkward tension filled the air before Love cleared her throat,

"Um I'm having lunch today with my friends, would you be interested in going?"

Aphrodite smiled brightly at the brunette, "Actually, I'm supposed to be meeting up with my best friend today. I'll ask if she wants to do lunch, everything is kind of unplanned as of now."

Love's smile shrunk but Aphrodite didn't seem to notice.

The two continued conversing and caught up with 'Will'.

Joe had accepted Love's offer but was disappointed to find out the curly-haired brunette wasn't attending as well.

Aphrodite had returned home, thoughts brewing in her mind about how she and Alexa were going to spend the day.

We could go to the movies. The spa sounds great right about now.

She pulled out her phone and sent a quick text, wondering when her best friend would be arriving.

Alexa replied almost immediately, she was about five minutes away.

The sound of the doorbell had her rushing to unlock the door.

As soon as the door opened Aphrodite let out a squeal, instantly wrapping her arms around the Latina woman.

"God, I missed you so much."

"I missed you too bitch, you're my soulmate."

Aphrodite made an aww sound and Alexa rolled her eyes.

"So what are we doing today? I've been so bored.. I watched documentaries for fun. Did you hear me? Documentaries. "

The greek goddess named woman giggled at her friend's dramatics.

Aphrodite informed her best friend of the spa plans she had and asked if she wanted to get lunch after.

She told her about 'Will' and Love of course.

Alexa was shocked to find out her friend had feelings for both of them.

Now she was really looking forward to this lunch.

Aphrodite and Alexa always have fun together.

No matter what they did, no matter what time of day it is, they were always entertained.

The spa trip was a bit boring at first, but the duo spiced it up— per usual.

They were running a bit behind for lunch but Aphrodite had texted Love and informed her.

Meanwhile, the Love squad was gossiping before the best friend duo could arrive.

"Will can't make it, he's sorry he can't be here and Aphrodite is going to be late. She's also bringing her best friend. "

They all let out groans of disappointment.

Gabe had a pout on his face, "I'm bummed, I was so ready to meet your new man-friend. And lady friend ooh-la-la.

Who knew Love Quinn was into poly relationships?"

Love tried to hide the grin on her face "Well we aren't official or anything, I mean I don't even know how Will and Aphrodite feel about each other."

Lucy added on "And by meet, Gabe means 'judge and deem unworthy'"

Love couldn't go a minute longer without telling her friends, "I kissed Aphrodite... and Will."

Lucy seemed happy for Love but she was worried Will didn't come because she scared him off.

Gabe and Sunrise tried to give Love some words of encouragement, while Lucy just insulted Will.

They didn't get to finish their gossip session though, since Aphrodite and Alexa walked up to their table.

Love's mood instantly got brighter, which her friends picked up on.

All the introductions were said and done, now it's time for the intense questioning.

Lucy was the first to talk, "What's your sexuality, Aphrodite?"

Aphrodite was a bit thrown off but the question yet gave a reply nonetheless, telling them she was bisexual.

Gabe raised his eyebrows, "What's your opinion on poly relationships?"

Aphrodite visibly gulped, "I've never been in one so I can't really give a detailed opinion, but if I met the right people I'd be open to it."

Sunrise decided to ease the tension, "Alexa, how long have you and Aphrodite been best friends?"

Alexa smiled thankfully at the girl, "it's been a little over a decade but it feels like we've known each other forever."

Alexa grabbed Aphrodite's hand and continued on with the story of how they met.

No one seemed to realize how tight Love was holding her fork, or the death glare she was giving Alexa.

Lunch had been great in Aphrodite's eyes, all of the love squad seemed to adore her and she got to know more about Love.

She was a bit upset she didn't get to spend time with Joe, but she'd figure out something later.

Little did she know, Love was seething and plotting ways to get rid of Alexa.

But she wasn't the only one Love was upset with... considering the woman had sent her a text explaining that she was going to confront 'Will'.

As of now. Aphrodite was sitting on Will's couch watching Love rip him a new one. It was kind of hot actually.

But she was also concerned about the bloody tissue on his counter.

She got up when Love pointed to her and 'Will' saying she thought they had something going on.

And it all clicked for her. Well, some parts anyway.

Love wanted to date her and Joe.

Aphrodite's brain was working a mile a minute trying to figure out if that was something she wanted too.

She was broken out of her thoughts we Joe shouted at Love.

Her heart broke for her, tears were pooling in her crystal blue eyes.

Aphrodite pushed Love aside gently.

" You know what Love, Will doesn't deserve you. I think it's time we leave the bloody freak show alone."

Their hands intertwined and the two women stormed out of Will's apartment.

Aphrodite was sitting on Love's couch now, waiting for her to finish cooking.

The food smelled delicious, and she even made dessert.

Love also decided to invite 'Will' to dinner.

The curly-haired woman was apprehensive at first but Love had convinced her to clear the air with Joe since he hadn't done anything wrong to her directly.

She was just being a good— what was the appropriate word for what she and Love are? Friends? Friends, who kiss randomly?

Love was having a mini rant as Aphrodite sipped her wine, watching the show once again.

Joe apologized and gave a sweet speech about how he wasn't expecting to meet someone like Love or me for the matter.

I cleared my throat rather loudly, "Damn she really hurt you. But Will, life is short. You never know when it's gonna be your last day. There's times when you need to step out of your comfort zone and do things that'll make you happy."

Will shook his head and stated that he hurt her but he didn't intend to.

The conversation went in a circle until we all decided to be friends.

Also, Love and I volunteered to help 'Will' let go of his ex.

The next day we all sat on the roof of Anavrin as 'Will' wrote a note for her and burned down to ashes.

Good riddance I guess.

Y'all don't even know how hard I was struggling to write this chapter.

I still find it incredibly boring tbh. I hate it sfm. But you guys wanted an updated and I had to deliver.

Fun fact actually really sad fact: this chapter was supposed to be two episodes but if I tried to fit two you would never see me updated again honestly.

I'm like actually the laziest person ever.
