→ anika was born as a test subject, much like bucky barnes was hydra's test subject. how she got her powers were from valentina de alegra de fontaine. after she had succeeded at her powers, she was let off into the real world, where she evolved trying to live as normal as possible, but whenever valentina called, anika answered. when she wasn't fighting crime and trying to save the world, she was a dishwasher at a diner, away from the customers. during the five years of the blip, she worked at her job, where she became the head dishwasher, where she trained people do be a busser/dishwasher. she has a secret that only a few people know, valentina, bucky, and the ones who tested on her. she's a wolf shifter. she can shift at least, and whenever she wants to. she shifts when she wants to escape her reality. she can get overwhelmed easily, so she uses her wolf form to escape. she also has the ability to create illusions of the future before it happens, as she can also control one's thoughts. she once made the mistake of transferring her thoughts over to bucky and she never once saw him again. until many years later, she thought that he wouldn't want to see her again, after what happened, but she was so wrong. right before the incident happened that is when bucky got dusted, and that's why she never saw him again. after the whole thing with the flag smashers, they rekindled their friendship that they had before, and over a couple years is when they admitted their feelings for each other. he became her protecter, and she was his foundation.
