Maverick Dawson wasn't quite sure how he got in this situation. He just wanted to experience some pain to help relieve his guilty conscience, to make himself feel better about everything he has done. All he thought was if he didn't kill someone he would be punished for disobeying. He didn't think his parents and Ra's Al Ghul would want him dead for disobeying too much.

So here Maverick was kneeling in front of Ra's Al Ghul in the Throne Room with a bloody back from the whipping he got earlier today. He knows he should be begging for his life like every person who gets put in this situation but it's no use. It wouldn't matter if you begged for your life or not, Ra's would still kill you.

He's merciless, something that Maverick wishes he was. He wished he was more like Ra's and just didn't care about people's lives, it would be more useful for what his parents wanted of him. They wanted a cold blooded killer, and that just isn't Maverick. Well it is when he complies he's azrail, the angel of death. The perfect assassin.

But outside of that mask, he's a broken child wanting affection and love, but all he's ever given is pain. Maverick sat there reflecting on his life choices as Ra's Al Ghul gave his long yet simple speech on Maverick being a traitor to the League. Bullshit spilled out of Ra's mouth. Then suddenly, a loud rumble occurred. The League's base shook and everyone stumbled despite being trained not to.

Everyone stood on guard, as the intruders appeared the assassin's went to work fighting against them. Maverick still sat on the ground, this time with Ra's sword pointed at his neck. Getting ready to slice Maverick's throat open. This is the end, I guess. Maverick thought as Ra's sword was coming towards his neck.

Suddenly, an arrow hit Ra's sword, stopping the momentum. A blonde girl ran up to Maverick as Ra's retreated, seeing as he realized who was in their base. "Thanks for the save Blondie" Venom lacing Maverick's voice.

"Anytime asshole." Blondie spit back.
