two months into the future

"My baby! My baby!" Vanessa cried,"Don't hurt my baby!" was all she could scream. She screamed and screamed until her voice gave out as Joker hit her with his crowbar, laughing maniacally. Leaving her sobbing for her boyfriend, Tim. the only one who understood her pain at the moment.

The Joker laughed hysterically. Red Robin stood frozen as he saw all the blood coming from Vanessa as she leaned up against a wall, trying to escape the Joker's crowbar.

Batman crashed through the ceiling immediately going after the joker. Red Robin unfroze as his family bolted through the front door. He immediately ran towards Vanessa.

"I'm here, I'm here" He tried calming her as she cried and sobbed her heart out.

Blood was covering her body. Mostly her torso and pants. Tim knew this was a bad sign.

He teared up as he yelled for help."I need some help now Nessa stay awake please"

present time

Vanessa knew something was wrong, all the morning sickness she was experiencing was definitely a sign of something. She hadn't told anyone yet but she had a feeling that she was pregnant. She knew that if she was, it would be difficult for her and Tim to handle it.

She wasn't scared that he wouldn't be supportive, she was scared of how his family would react. How they wouldn';t support them. But then again, they are a family of crime stopping vigilantes.

After school, she stopped at a convenient store before heading to Wayne Manor to grab pregnancy tests.

When she arrived at the manor, she quickly walked in without being noticed, and then she ran to the upstairs bathroom by Tim's room. She quickly took the test and stood nervously. She waited for the results to come in, her heart racing with anticipation. After what felt like an eternity, the results were in: she was pregnant.

She had no idea what to do next. She knew she had to tell Tim, but she didn't know how to. Vanessa took a deep breath then crept out of the bathroom, holding the test in her hands and went to Tim's room.

She saw Tim sitting at his desk, working on a case. She sat down on his bed, and didn't move till he noticed her.

"Hey! How was school?" Tim asked, always happy to hear about her day. She wondered if that would soon change.

"It was okay, I-um I have something I need to tell you. Please don't hate me." A tear slipped out from Vanessa's eyes.

"Hey, I could never hate you Ness." Tim reassured her and gave her a comforting hug. Tim wasn't a very touchy person, he would never initiate a hug first, so it was always a surprise when he did. Vanessa leaned into the hug.

Tim then noticed she was holding something. "What's in your hand?" he questioned. And soon gained an answer when Vanessa held it out for him to see.

Tim was shocked. Ten minutes ago he was just a teenager, now he's going to be a dad?

"I'm going to be a dad?" He slowly spoke, unsure of it.

Vanessa shook her head yes, before she broke down crying. "I'm sorry." she cried out. Tim pulled her back into a hug whispering comforting words to slow her crying down.

"I'm going to be a dad" Tim spoke out more excited this time, "I'm going to be a dad!" he shouted excitedly. "This is amazing!" Vanessa could tell Tim was being genuine. He truly was happy to be a dad.

"I mean this isn't ideally the best time but I am happy for us. Ness, we are about to be parents." Tim spoke with a wide smile on his face.

"Yeah, we are" and finally Vanessa felt like she could smile back, and so she did.
