for the most part, adri manages to be a pretty easygoing guy, down to try most any activity at least once and able to vibe with a variety of people. to say the least, he definitely can come across as charismatic, presenting an open easiness and youthful energy that is quick at winning anyone over. a playful person, adrian loves getting to tease their friends. that being said, he can be a touch hypocritical and isn't fond of being teased in return, especially if it's coming from his brother. they like to think they have a wonderful sense of humor, and actively try to better their own collection of jokes until they've developed quite the witty repertoire of lines to open up talk segments of shows with or use when trying to impress people. when it comes to social situations, whether or not adrian chooses to take the lead truly depends on their mood at the time. for the most part, you'll catch them hanging out near the main crowd where everything's happening, but not necessarily demanding the center of attention itself. since blowing up however, and accidentally then intentionally becoming a semi famous star, adri's found themselves the center of attention way more when they enter rooms. while they don't exactly mind it and sometimes even revel in it, there are many moments when he wishes he could just go back to being a regular guy again, and not the talk of the town. 

a defining trait of adrian's is definitely their determination, and relentless drive to reach their goals. while they wouldn't call themselves ruthless in pursuit of what they want, it would be incorrect to say adrian hasn't been callous ever in chasing their dreams. adrian is well aware that their defiance and stubborness in staying out of college and aiming for this stardom is only causing more cracks in their relation with their family and dad in particular. but he can't bring himself to stop. to give up and admit he was wrong in thinking he could do this? adrian could never ever do that. they're definitely proud to say the least and very rarely admits when their wrong. his trait of avoiding apologies and dodging accountability is quite the self destructive habit, and it absolutely was probably the final nail in the coffin of adrian's last relationship, said relationship being the one that ended up a trending video viral on tiktok. that being said, given how unfond of it adrian is, if they ever apologize to you then you know they mean it. he's not one for fake niceties or politeness ever. at his heart, adrian really just wants to be loved and accepted by people. this can make them sort of a people pleaser at times, and they're internally insecure no matter how good they've become at keeping up a confident facade on the outside. nothing would hurt him more than a good old honest insult from someone he's close to, and in those situations he's liable to try and push them away, or pretend he doesn't care when in reality he just can't let them see how upset they made him, how much they've affected him. 

lastly adrian has the exact right personality to be a music artist, at least if they do say so themselves. and they do!!! they're naturally creative, loving the chance to tell stories and create atmospheres through sound or word. throughout middle and high schoool they've been a major d&d nerd too, playing usually as a bard, a basic yet fitting option for them. other times, they like expressing their emotions through art and doodles. adrian's actually created their first album covers through doodling over a photo of themselves in an artistic way to express the mood. adrian also specializes in thinking of creative reasons or backstories behind a certain even happening. do not ask them to tell you a story or you will absolutely be here for at least an hour. adrian's creativity definitely leads them to daydreaming, a real head in the clouds type of person. lastly, adrian is a little lazy naturally and definitely has to be prodded a few times by their family in order to start helping out with tasks around the house. however, and you didn't hear this here, adri's therapist has suggested to them that perhaps their laziness isn't actually laziness, but rather a defense mechanism against getting involved in things. and to that idea, adrian vehemently refuses to acknowledge any validity to it. overall adrian is a friendly, engaging, easy to be around person with a few issues of their own but they swear it's nothing so bad! 

𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚

look adrian didn't expect to blow up. born and raised in the humble little town of arden glen, adrian's family could have been considered pretty normal. it was them, their mother and father, and their older brother asher, who is three years his senior. adrian's family business was running the mechanic store for the town, and young adrian spent many a afternoon waiting inside the garage, watching as his father lay spread eagle on his back under a car while his brother periodically attempted to pass him tools. it was definitely a cozy experience, very bonding but truth be told it never did interest adri very much. instead they were really drawn to music class in elementary school, loving the tactile interaction, with it being the best part of school. having adhd, and not getting diagnosed and treated until sixth grade, adri's never really had the best grades. they usually managed to scrape by passing their classes, with a few a's in subjects like english or music but other than that, adri is no star student. just pretty strictly average. still adri's mother was kind and understanding, not holding it over him too much. adri felt super lucky when their neighbor, a sweet elderly lady agreed to tak him on and teach him music, piano and guitar after adrian's dad helped her hotwire her car for the fourth time in a month. now growing up adri had a modest but comfortable friend group, a group of fellow teens to just chill and hangout with, and adri did get close to some of them but he never felt especially close to anyone. the type to resist letting people in, sometimes it felt like with most of his friends he only managed to forge a surface level connection. 

it was in eighth grade when adri decided to try and write songs, which spoiler alert weren't very good at first. still he persisted, and gradually his songs got better. adri would spent a lot of high school daydreaming their way through it, scribbling sketches or song fragments into the pages of their beat up leatherbound notebook with added star stickers, a fifteenth birthday present from their parents. during this time adri picked up a habit of choosing to eat lunch in the music room, the better way to maximize their time with music. because while adri's father never explicitly expressed his disaproval for adri's choices, they could tell that their father was not exactly thrilled at how much time they spent on music, what with their barely above water grades and antisocial life. it didn't help that their elder brother adrian seemed to just be the golden child, always volunteering to help in the mechanic shop, choosing to go to the local community college in arden glen so he could stay and help the family business. starting at age sixteen, after losing a bet adri decided to start a youtube channel (as well as a tiktok) and began posting a mix of their original songs and favorite song covers to their channel. they were able to get a modest following before their big break. their big break came, the summer they turned seventeen leading into their senior year of high school. one of their songs, creek songs went super crazy massive viral on youtube and tiktok. so viral to the point their song got radio play and an independent record label reached out to them about signing them. by late fall their song that had blown up was officially released under their record label as a single and by late spring of the following year adri had finished and officially released their first album creek songs. 

adri couldn't deny it. the feeling of being so beloved, their songs that they had poured countless time and emotion into was addicting. adri didn't wanna give it up and just go to community college or a state university, didn't wanna relinquish his five minutes of fame and and fade back into obscurity. so he decided not to. once he officially turned eighteen that july, adri decided to move to the big city, focusing on recording and promoting his music to the masses. adri's leaving caused a huge argument with his parents, particularly his father. after later on choosing to return home to arden glen for the year, adri's apologized and his parents forgave him for leaving but it's clear there's still rampant tension from that... incident as adri likes to call it. so how did fame treat adri? well it certainly had its ups and downs but honestly adri felt a little addicted to the thrill. they got to go on a small tour, released another album, he even recorded an extremely popular, extremely catchy christmas song that he definitely doesn't regret and cringe at hearing now. all was well, all could not be better. well... if not for jean. enter jean carey. adri had met jean while in the city when eighteen and had felt instantly drawn to their energy, with jean being cooler, older and seemingly put together with their cool job working for a publishing house. 

as with all of adri's other silly high school and middle school crushes and exes, adri fell fast and the two of them entered a relationship that lasted from when adri was eighteen to the twilight years of their nineteenth years, with the two of them breaking up in june, about a month before adri turned twenty. see for the past three months or so was when adri was away on tour, and jean had started to feel like adri was growing distant of their relationship. whether that was a fair complaint or not is besides the point, as nothing could stop their fiery end. at a party, some even celebrating a newly dropped single of adri's, the pair of them, absolutely drunk just blew up at each other. with jean accusing adri of being too busy and not invested enough in their relationship and adri calling jean a fame chaser who probably only stuck with them for the recognition, there is really no salvaging such as relationship. perhaps the situation would have been bearable had one of jean's friends not recorded the whole thing and then dropped the video on twitter. humiliated and annoyed at his managers who had been nagging him about the sonic direction of his second album vs his first, calling it slightly uninspired and more generic compared to his one of a kind debut, adrian made the hard decision to return back home to arden glen and live with his family for the year. he returned home in august, and has resided in arden glen ever since. he's been working at the bard brews cafe, seeing friends in his spare time, trying to find inspiration to write authentic songs and recording bits and pieces of songs at a time, and that pretty much took him to now. christmas! yay!!! it would be way less annoying if his past self hadn't been lured into releasing a "mistletoe-esque" christmas jingle.

failure ➺ or to be more specific, their greatest fear is that they will fail at their current path of pursuing music and be stuck with no idea of how to proceed forward. adri has banked a lot and burned a few bridges in the name of being able to pursue his dream of being a musician, choosing to not go to community college like he should have against his parents wishes for him. they don't really have much of a backup plan besides riding the wave of small fame and popularity they've found and hoping it works out. even though he's here for the year, he is very insistent to his parents that it's just for a short time, to work a little and gather inspiration. they haven't given up yet on their dreams!!! and they're definitely not staying in arden glen long term this is just a short deviation. right? 

clowns and dolls ➺ keep those creepy motherfuckers away from them thanks! that being said adri forces themselves to watch horror movies if friends want to, because they'd kill themself before being seen as a coward.

music artist ➺ though they are technically on a mini hiatus for the year, while they focus on writing their third album, adri is vehement in insisting to his family that being a music artist is still very much his job. he also performs once a week to every other week at the town bar, showcasing a mix of their own original songs, testing some unreleased ones and taking song requests and playing popular covers.

barista/waiter ➺ for the past year, adri has worked at the bard brews cafe, as a way of generating some extra cash. adrian is a (not so) secret nerd so they knew they wanted to have a day job at bard brews, no where else. fun story, adrian convinced the owner to hire them despite being slightly overstaffed by challenging them to a dnd battle and somehow having really good dice rolls. 

𝒄𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒋𝒐𝒓

adri never went to college but if they ever did go, they'd probably just major in music, or perhaps english if forced to choose something academic.

➺ adri doesn't have any spectacular plans, probably just hangout with his family, catch up with a few friends, let himself be dragged for christmas caroling and hope to avoid any reminders of his christmas song his label talked him into recording last year. it's called naughty or nice and adrian finds it incredibly cringy, especially remembering the situation they were in at the time of making it. 

𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒏𝒆𝒘 𝒚𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒔

➺ adri doesn't have any plans set in stone but they'll probably just go to arwin's ale house and play music. they're working hard on finishing a new song to debut then.

adri loves a good gingerbread building competition and can be scarily competitive about it. he also loves going to look at christmas lights while drinking hot apple cider.

adrian likes most being out in the glen by the creek, finding it a peaceful and relaxing spot to think. you can also catch them chilling at garden coffee co fueling their caffeine addiction, or at maddy's enjoying a slice of hawaiian pizza and trying to beat the pacman high score. he also enjoys frequenting the local music/record store, even more so now that he's one of the artists whose music they sell. 

𝒄𝒍𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒕𝒚𝒍𝒆

for day to day life, his style tends to be quite comfy with jumpers and courderoy pants, often a baggy shirt layered over a long sleeve one. however adrian's style when touring or doing artists related stuff or just when feeling more conscious of an audience, their wardrobe is more typical alternative heartthrob with skinny jeans, silver chains and tees.
