CHAPTER 2

121 A.C
~King's Landing~

✧༺♥༻∞

Alyssa's perspective:
I rushed into the Dragonpit with a bright smile across my face as my eyes landed on Sunfyre, my uncle's Aegon dragon, he was a beautiful one with gleaming golden scales and pale pink wings that made him even cutter than he already was.

"Fucking Gods, ALY! Why do you always have to run like a baby?!" Jace complained finally making to the pit with Lucerys behind him, the gate keepers have already had their lessons with Aegon, the prince looking bored as usual and his brother Aemond truly sad due to not having a dragon of his own, I really felt bad for him in some weird way though I never really got along with my uncles that much. Helaena being the only real friend I had in this castel beside my family of course, her mysterious spirit and passion for bugs made her the interesting unique aunt she was, I was glad I had Helaena because that meant she had me aswell knowing that her family didn't quite understand her.

"Uncles" I bowed my head passing by the two, both glaring down at me for a second before returning the nod, I never followed why they were acting like this towards me because with my brothers they were like the best of friends and the only reason that passed in my mind was because I was a girl.

"Niece" Aegon mumbled raising his eyebrow and sighing clearly pestered, it is not like he had anything towards her, he was just too childish and immature for his usual moods.
"Princess. Do you want us to fetch Emberly for you?" a woman asked, I looked back at my brothers who gave me a encouraging smile, this was my first time to ever train with Emberly since I've been only able to brush her snout or give her little food from the kitchen something that wasn't allowed so promise you won't tell to anyone.

"Yes please" I answered with a certain nod, I was a very confident young girl for my age and always so energetic that my mother would say I act a lot like her when she was as young as me.
Two gatekeepers walked down into the cages where the dragons were held, my hands were folded around my stomach as I was nervously playing with my fingers, what If I fail to say something? If Emberly won't understand what I would be telling her? I would be an embarrassment for the entire family... until I felt a soft touch on my shoulder that made me look up to see my older brother Luke peeking up at me with a gentle expression, he always knew or guessed when I was scared and wanted to make me happy.

"You got this, Aly. I trust you" he whispered making me tug a wide smile on my lips as I nodded to him before his eyes went behind me and I turned aswell to see my beautiful Emberly, yellow-sunset scales and red bloody wings , she was not taller than Vermax or Arrax but less smaller than Dreamfyre or Sunfyre, she was my perfect baby girl.

"Emberly! EMBERLY!" I shouted but she was too busy trying to figure out where she was and why the eyes were all on her, but what I hated the most was the reason she was held in chains, it was outrageous because she was a soul too like the rest of us.

"Zaldrizo aoho syt aeksio sagon ao bevilza, darilaros nuhys..." the old gatekeeper informed, my nose scrunching in confusion as I was trying my best to understand his high valyrian, I loved my mother tongue don't get mr wrong but well... I kinda skipped a few lessons to come and visit Emberly and hopefully nobody ever caught me yet, so for your sake I advise you better keep your mouth shut or we won't be good friends through this story.

"You must hold mastery over your dragon, my young princess" the woman translated making my mind finally comprehend what they were trying to tell me.

"...hae Darilarot Aegot Vvsperzomy." the man uttered again in high valyrian however the mention of Aegon's name got me sick in the stomach, I mean I don't deny that maybe he is good in bonding with Sunfyre but Let's be serious, my uncle does not give a damn about his responsibilities as a prince, I never figured out what could be more important for him than acting like a prince, maybe it is better to not even try to get it right.

"As Prince Aegon has with Sunfyre" the woman rendered what I've already caught right and seeing that my brain worked good at it made me chuckle with a bit of pride as I folded my hands behind and raised my chin up with a superior grin.

"Zijosy aot tetiri ozlettosy, toli rybagon zirylo vindilza." again high valyrian was said and it made me so excited because all I wanted to do was to say the word , a word which I venerate with my whole being, the only one in which my pronounciation was perfect, the Targaryen order.

"Once they're fully bound to you, they will refuse to take instruction from any other" the woman spoke again as I noticed Emberly shrieking due to something being brought up in the Dragonpit, a white tiny goat that got the full attetion of Emberly's reddish eyes, my sweet dragon looked like she had been glued to the poor that unfortunately will not get to live very long.

"Can I say it? Pleaseeee" I pleaded like a little child I was and the innocent smile along with puppy eyes activated instantly and with them neither of the gatekeepers could refuse me so they both nodded, yet the old man still believed I was rushing things. I mean... I may have but what do you want from me? I was just a sweet girl who's admiration for dragons grew more day by day.

Inhaling deeply and calming my shaky hands I walked in front as Emberly's eyes landed on me , she was waiting as eager as me to do it.
"Dracarys, Emberly!" I shouted as my echoes flown into the entire Dragonpit while Emberly breathed fire on the white goat, the flames dancing around the animal until they ate it whole just for Emberly to enjoy her meal.
"I DID IT! I DID IT!" my chereful screams were louder than usual as I ran into my brother's arms, both embracing me tightly and laughing alongside me.

"Never doubted you, Aly" Luke spoke with a genuine smile across his lips making me blush a little, I always loved when my brothers would praise me or would encourage me in achieving something great.

"Aemond, we... have a surprise for you" Aegon's irritating voice cracked making me furrow my eyebrows as the confusion hit my sense. It was odd really seeing Aegon acting nice towards a person, I don't really know him much but I can tell he's not in his right mind, it can be read on his dumb face. What surprised me most was to notice both my brothers grinning as they locked eyes, this was not a good thing my brain kept on warning me.
"What is it?" my poor uncle Aemond asked walking arm in arm with his brother as Lucerys ran inside the caves, was this boy crazy? I mean CRAZIER than me?!.

"Something very special" Jacaerys emphasized his last word warning an annoyed scoff from me, which of course he did not notice, being too concentrated on this surprise they were preparing.

"Jace, what in the seven hells are you and Luce doing?" I asked grabbing him by the arm, our height could be seen from a distance, my forhead barely reaching his shoulder. Being the smallest of my entire family had both its e advantages and disadvantages, hiding in the perfect spot whenever we played "hide and sike" and never been found, sneaking out of the high valyrian lessons or from her Septa when she would finish her needle work, but being looked down and called filthy nicknames was the worst of all which I was obligated to endure since I learned how to speak.

"You'll see, Aly" Jace shoved me away from him, returning his attention towards Aegon who was walking Aemond to the entrance in the caves.
"You're the only one of us without a dragon" Aegon began as Aemond agreed. I may have been young and only nine but I was not stupid to believe every word coming out from my uncle's sick mouth.

"And we felt badly about it, so we found one for you" Aegon's response was reckless and stupidly believed by Aemond, not to my surprise. Think you fools! Nobody can find a dragon and especially not Aegon. I wanted to scream to them but I decided it would be wished to see where this lead to.
"A dragon? How?" Aemond asked innocently, turning to face both my brother and uncle. Gods be dammed, this boys needs a punch in the face to wake up and see what's around him.

"The Gods provide..." Aegon began as Lucerys was coming slowly in back into the dragonpit, grunts and snorts caught my hearing as I turned around.
"Behold... The Pink Dread!" the three boys shouted at unison as my eyes widen in shock, my brothers surely had gone out of their minds since spending time with Aegon. I never thought that they would be capable of such vile act that will certainly lead to conflicts and it won't be Aegon's fault but theirs, I was sure of that.

"Be sure to mount her carefully. First flight is always rough" my stupid uncle had to make a comment because his mouth could not stay shut but I could  shut it for him if it needed.
Yet my brothers were still chuckling and making snorting sounds, foolish behavior that was not taught by mother, she would be so disappointed in them when she will find about this. I noticed Aemond's expression changing into one of the most painful ones to watch, he seemed truly broken and did not deserve to be treated like that just because he did not master a dragon, maybe one day he will and all of us will have our mouth fully opened with surprise by the greatness of it. In that moment, I had enough of this joke as my feet started to move towards Aegon, I pushed him down into the dirt of the pit and climbed on him grabbing his collar as I shook him frantically, his eyes were in horror as he looked at me.

"YOU MORON! HOW DARE YOU BEHAVE THIS WAY TOWARDS YOUR OWN BROTHER?!" I screamed as tears of anger started to stream down my face, Aegon did not say a thing while watching me beating him up. I had no idea the reason I was so furious, I felt bad for Aemond yes but the motive was another, a hidden one which surprisingly was held inside me for a time and decided to come out at Aegon's dull face.

It took both Jacaerys and Lucerys to take me off our uncle and outside of the Dragonpit while rumbling some apologise words that I couldn't understand because of the rage that overcome me and not leaving me think clearly.

When Luce put me down from his shoulder I believed that I was awoken, I looked around to see us back into our apartment, my brothers watching me concerned and stressed about my well-being.

"Aly?" Lucerys asked taking my hand and rubbing his finger gently on the back of it, I looked down at our hands then up at him blinking not knowing what was going on.
"Sister, are you feeling good?" Jacaerys spoke drawing my attetion to him, I did not say anything, I could not respond shamed of my repulsive actions towards my uncle even though he deserved it.

"Yes. I'm... I'm fine" I mumbled nodding slightly not noticing how I was still trembling from head to toe, and how Lucerys tried to comfort me. I had never been that furios and from what I know, a child must know have emotions like anger, hate or pain because it would hurt him entirely.

"You sure?" Jace asked again rubbing my back, but this time I had not spoken back but leaned my head on Lucerys's chest instantly falling into a deep sleep as my trembling stopped, I was not in the mood for any more questions. Luce and Jace looked at each other with scared eyes, shocked by how I acted, Lucerys took me up and placed me on the sofa to let me sleep peacefully and more comfortable.
"Mother must know about this, Jace" Lucerys whispered as his brother nodded, their sister was going through something unusual and they must know what to be able to help her.

Targaryens were known for craziness, marrying each other to strengthen the bloodline but there were some who possed another type of insanity... The Madness for Wrath...
