Please take a look into some of my other books inspired by disney. I do so like to consider them a series, but they are standalones and not connected to each other in any sort of way plotwise, so please don't be so concerned-the desert is already so tiresome in this heat!

INTRODUCTION TO "A PEACOCK'S VANITY";

-This book is an Aladdin AU story, and follows my original characters in the world of Disney's "Aladdin" (1992). Please do not read this book if you're looking for a light fluffy romance read, because this book will be heavy. It will get dramatic and intense, and you have been warned. The chapter numberings are all in Arabic numerals, but I've given each chapter names so that there is no confusion in non-arabic reader navigation.

The character ages have been upped for obvious reasons. You will be told how old the characters are in the story (sorry disney lol). Also, being of Arabic descent myself, please do not be mad and think me ignorant if the historically accurate aspect does not come into play. This is not your history textbook. This book is inspired by the 1991 disney movie Aladdin as well as the 2019 live action movie with Will Smith, Naomi Scott and Mena Massoud. Also, I will be accurate in terms of the religious aspect of Ancient Arab. The worldbuilding will be slightly-OR MAJORLY-fantastical.

This book is also part of my disney AU series, where I take a disney movie world, expand it and introduce original characters and a different main romance plot to it. You can read the series in whatever order you prefer. All of the books are available on both my wattpad and ao3.

THE LEAD COUPLE;

-Dilruba Badawi (25 y/o); court dancer, poetess, vigorous, passionate, intuitive.

-Burhan Abelhamid (31 y/o); killer, swordsman, leader of bandits and thugs, savior, usurper, determined, ambitious.

SUMMARY;

The year is 1481.
To attend her cousin Princess Jasmine of Agrabah's wedding to the infamous street rat and charmer Aladdin, Dilruba Badawi-the beautiful twenty-five-year-old court dancer and poetess-travels from the city of Hegra to Agrabah to contribute her attendance as well as her talents to the celebration.

But when the wedding ceremony is crashed by the notorious gangster and the most famous sword fighter in all of Ancient Arab, the thirty-one-year-old and deadly Burhan Abelhamid, and his men, Dilruba realizes that a ploy is being weaved to stop her cousin's happiness, and Dilruba might just have to be the one to sacrifice for family.

CHARACTER NAME MEANINGS;

-"Dilruba" is a name taken from the Urdu Language (not middle eastern) and it means "heart-ravishing."
-"Burhan" is a name taken from the Arabic Language and it means "proof/evidence."
