「 sisters 」
Zera wiped the smirk off of her face and turned to face the boy. Once they met eyes she saw that his hand was trembling a bit making her tilt her head.
"I can't do anything, you know." She said showing him the cuffs on her hand.
Anakin cleared his throat. "Yeah, yeah I know."
"Then why are you shaking?" Zera asked raising an eyebrow.
Anakin didn't reply, he just looked down on the ground. Zera sighed to herself, this mission will be harder that she thought. The padawan held the small plate of food out to her again which made Zera jump back a bit.
"You should eat, it's not good for you if you don't." He tried again pushing the food inside the cell.
Zera glanced at the food and with a small groan she picked up the plate. She saw the corners of the padawan's lips curve up into a tiny smile. The sith looked at him which made Anakin turn his gaze away immediately.
Zera nodded at him as a sign of thank you. He gave a small nod back and stood up from the ground. He was crouching ever since he got to her cell.
"Well, I better get going now. It was nice to meet you, Zera." Anakin said as he dissapeared from her sight.
Once he was gone she smiled to herself. "It was even better to meet you, Anakin."
With that she was somehow able to eat the bread even with her hands bound together. It was a little hard but it was still better than what they got at the sith academy.
Once she finished the food he brought her she threw the plate down by the cell door. It thankfully didn't break, but she couldn't care less. Zera then layed back onto her side and stared at the wall where she started to carve random things. One of the pictures resembled a moment from her past.
One that she hated.
The scratched in drawing resembled buildings and an ally with flames coming out from the windows. In the middle there was a small figure on the ground seemingly reaching for something or someone.
Zera grew angrier by the minute as she stared at it and banged her hand into the wall. It didn't hurt her anymore, she went through so much worse through her training.
"No, Padmé please don't leave me! I didn't mean to hurt anyone! Please believe me! Mother, father, I'm begging you!"
"Shut up!" Zera yelled into the nothingness and listened to her voice echo in the hallway.
She breathed in heavily from her nose and let it out just as harsh. The sith hated it when her past memories came flooding into her brain as if they were happening in that exact moment she was in.
A tear fell from her eye but she quickly wiped it away. Zera couldn't allow herself to cry, it made her seem weak in front of everyone else. But sometimes it was hard for her when she remembered her past. All the pain that she went through just because she was different.
They all betrayed her and she will never forgive them for it.
Never.
She didn't mean to hurt them.
She didn't mean to kill them.
It was all just an accident that they thought she caused. They didn't even listen to what she had to say and left her there in her most vulnerable state. That's when Tyn found her and took Zera under his wing to train her.
But that's when even more pain came.
Since the sith academy trained the force users to use their hate and suffering to become more powerfully they had their own techniques too. If they didn't do well in training or failed a mission they would be punished.
Zera still remembered the worst pain she ever felt. It was the sith lord himself was at the academy for a day and that was the same day she failed on a task she was given. Since Zera was the most powerfull one there the sith lord wanted to give her a reminder.
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to fail!" The 15 year old Zera screamed in agony.
The sith lord continued to use force lightning as her punishment. It felt like her entire body was on fire and her throat already hurt from screaming so much.
The older male used the force to choke her as Zera struggled to breath. "We don't fail. You aren't allowed to fail us, Zera. I think you needed a reminder of what happens if you do."
"Please..." Her voice came out barely even like a whisper.
He let go of her throat and she collapsed to the ground in pain. Zera tried to get as much air in as she could but it hurted her, it was horrible to be in this situation.
Zera watched as he raised his hands again.
"No, no, no!" She screamed as the lightning hit her frail body again.
She hated them.
She hated everyone in her life. Her family. The sith. The jedi. Everyone who had somrthing to do with the dark place she was in right now. Even though Zera was a sith herself she will never forgive them for what they did to her. She was already too far gone to come back to the lighside.
Zera turned around to lay on her side as her body slightly shook as tears fell down her face. She cursed at herself for crying again but it was like she didn't have any control over her body.
They did this to her. This is what happened to her after everything the people threw her way. Manipulation, betrayal, pain.
She could still see their face as the life left their eyes.
Many thought that she went insane due to her talking to herself and halluctinating. Zera couldn't deny it, she probably did lose her mind a long time ago.
"Stop being so pathetic, Zera." The girl told herself as she wiped some of the salty tears away.
At the same time the young sith was having her memories taunt her the council sat in the circle in deep thought. They couldn feel her suffering from all the way up the where they were and it was over whelming for some.
Master Yoda was looking at the ground trying to think of something to do. The other jedi's suggested to tell Padmé Amidala to come here immediately but the green jedi didn't think it would be a good idea.
If they were to bring the senator here it would cause even bigger problems but it might not. He could sense the mixed feelings Zera had, but she was clouded with hate for too long to see into her head. All Yoda would see is how she suffered.
"We must tell Senator Amidala that her sister is here. We can't just leave her here without telling her family." Ki-Adi Mundi spoke up.
"Pain, young Zera, is in." Master Yoda said. "Don't think, good time to do such thing, it is."
"We have to tell her that she's alive, Master Yoda." Mace Windu told him. "She's her sister after all."
The green jedi master let out a long sigh and stood up from his seat. "Talk with her, you shall. Get her to the Temple, we must."
The others nodded and stood up from their places. They followed the grand master out from thw council room and went their own ways. Master Windu walked down towards the room where they usually communicated with whoever they needed.
He quickly called the senator to inform her about the situation. Padmé on the other side of the hologram felt her blood get cold and a sense of fear filled her body. She knew that her sister hated her and would do anything for revenge. The stories Padmé heard about Zera always gave her shivers.
She changed. She was no longer the sister that loved her.
The senator quickly stood up from her desk once the jedi ended the conversation. She was terrified of meeting her again after all those years. Padmé grabbed a new set of clothes and rushed towards the Jedi Temple as fast as she could. This was her only chance to talk with her long lost sibling.
Once the ship landed by the stairs to the huge building she saw two jedi waiting for her by the stairs. Padmé made her way up to them and recognised them as Mace Windu and Master Yoda.
"I came as fast as I could..." She said witha slight tremble to her words. "Is she actually here?"
"Yes, your sister here she is." The smaller jedi spoke up.
Padmé nodded her head as the three of them walked inside the temple. Even though she wasn't a force sensitive like her sister she could just feel her presence. She started to to tremble with each step she took.
Down where the cells were Zera sat up in a start. She sensed someone familiar enter the building. Her eyes widened as she pulled her head into her hands and began shaking.
"It can't be." She whispered to herself.
Yes, it can be. She's here and you're going to face her any minute now.
"You're lying!" Zera exclaimed to the voice.
She's headed towards you right this minute...she's going to see who you've become.
"She made me this way! She can't be the one to feel sorry for me after years. She abandoned me!" The sith cried into the empty space.
I warned you.
Zera let out a yell and the voice dissapeared. She felt people standing at the ens of the hallway and the feeling of dread and hate creeped up her spine. She sat up turning her back to the bars of the cell and kept staring at the carving she did.
Her hands balled into fists thinking about what was to come. What she planned to do once she sees her face again.
Suddenly she felt the presence Zera hasn't felt in years. It was her.
Padmé.
Zera listened as the door opened and she thought that she was going to come in but the sith was wrong. A few guards came down in their infamous armour and opened the door to her cell.
She allowed them to drag her out and lead her down the hallway. Zera was calm, too calm. Even the guards found it weird of her. The girl was thinking about what brutal things she will do to her sister if only they would get these cuffs off of her. The pain of others brought her joy, as long as they deserved it.
They led her into a room which was too white for her liking and took off the cuffs on her hands. She raised an eyebrow at them as they left with it. Zera turned her head and saw her reflection in a mirror, it was definetly a window for the ones standing outside.
Zera looked around but stopped when the door opened. It was her. Her presence was even harder to bare. The sith froze in her place and didn't even move an inch.
"Zera?" Padmé's voice echoes through the empty room.
The sith let out a breath as she thought of the terrible things she could do right now. It made her smirk in amusment. It wasn't a good idea for them to take the cuffs off, Zera could feel the force flow through her once again.
With slow movements she turned around to meet her sisters eyes.
Padmé stood there terrified and sad seeing what Zera has become. Her yellow eyes pierced into her own which mare the senator remember when they were still brown. She also examimed the scars that ran along her face and neck. Padmé didn't even dare think about what caused them.
Zera fully turned to her sister with an evil smirk dancing on her lips. "Hello sister...long time no see."
