Arielle's POV

As the three of us were walking to the Nella's car I began telling them that after we ate our food they would have to drive me back here so I could get my car. They let out a few soft giggles as they told me that they were going to drive me back and for me not to worry about it. Once we got into Nella's car she turned around in her seat to face me handing me a few baby wipes that she pulled from her bag telling me that I still had some dried blood on my face from the ball hitting me in my nose. I gave her a smile before grabbing them from her hand while fumbling in my bag to grab my mirror pulling it out and looked into it seeing that I truly did have blood on my face.

I also saw that there was a bruise forming on my face . . . Great I thought to myself. After a few minutes of wiping my face with the cold wipe I had finally got all the smudges of blood off of my face. I looked up from my compact mirror to see that we had finally pulled into the parking lot of Rosa's Diner and I saw a few other cars as Nella tried to find a place to park. I felt my stomach do a few flips at the thought of finally meeting the guy that has been on my mind all night, and to finally know his name and not just call him 'the guy'. Once we finally found a parking spot we opened our doors almost all at the same time as we got out of the car and started walking to the door of the diner hearing our shoes echo on the pavement.

When we pushed open the door and walked in I let my eyes scan around the diner seeing multiple people sitting around the room talking with their friends or family eating and having a good time. When I saw the girls walking to the same table that they were sitting at yesterday that is when I finally saw the three good looking males standing up looking at us as we walked closer to them. When we finally made it to the table Nella smiled at the boys and then sent me a small smile before saying

"Guys this is Arielle, Arielle these are the guys"

I sent them all a smile before I turned towards the first guy who started talking

"Hello, it is nice to meet you Arielle I am Alec and I happen to be Nella's Boyfriend"

I gave him a smile as I placed my hand into his outstretched hand shaking his hand saying 'it is nice to meet you' I moved to the guy that was in the middle who was smiling at me, I smiled back at him as he begun to speak to me

"Hi it's nice to meet you I am Mikel"

I took his outstretched hand in mine shaking it saying 'It's nice to meet you' Now it was finally time to meet the man that has been on my mind all day and all night, I moved to stand in front of him before looking at every detail that made him up, after a few seconds I finally looked at his face seeing him giving me a warm smile he most likely saw what I had just done and by the looks of it, he loved it. I could feel my face turn hot when he started talking to me

"Hello I am Zander Black it is nice to finally meet you"

I felt my stomach churn at the sound of his voice, I love it . . .

"Hello Zander it is nice to finally meet you as well"

I took his hand in mine shaking it, my hand in his gave my body a warm buzzing feeling. I saw Zander as he closed his eyes while squeezing my hand unconsciously before he took his hand out of mine and sat down in his seat. As I sat down I heard Nella tell me that she had Alec order my food already, which he ordered me a cream cheese bagel with some sweet tea and if that was fine with me. I nodded my head saying that it was okay. I took one more look at Zander as he was looking at something out the window seeing how good he looked. I did not know how long I had been starring at him but I watched as Zander looked at me, catching me in the act of staring at him. He smiled at me but that soon fell from his face as he leaned closer to me looking at my face with a hard look on his face

"What happen to your nose Arielle"

I warmth oozed over my body as he said my name before answering telling him that we were playing dodgeball in gym and this girl I did not even officially meet had a big buff dude throw a ball at my face which made me fall to the floor and start bleeding. When I told him this I saw his jaw clench but before I could say anything Nella interrupted

"But you don't have to worry Arielle handled it, she socked the poor girl so hard she fell to the floor and started bleeding herself"

I smiled in gratitude towards her before turning my attention back onto Zander who was already staring at me. I gave him a weird look before I could say anything to him I heard a loud crash come from somewhere behind me. Before I could turn myself around to see what the crash was I felt my chair being pulled towards the direction of Zander and I felt a warm body heat radiate from behind me sending shocks go through my body. I felt warm breath on my neck which made my insides go wild; I looked over my left shoulder to see Zander in his chair behind me with his face close to my neck breathing in, almost sniffing me. I muttered a soft 'are you okay' to him to which he did not reply to all he did was put his hand on my hip pulling my person closer to himself. I just let it go turning to where I heard yelling only to see a girl who looked to be about sixteen years old on the floor crying trying to pick up broken glass with food all over herself, that is when I looked to the man that was shouting at her to see he looked older than thirty in an expensive suit that now had food all over it. The man was yelling profanities at the girl and calling her stupid. Seeing this happen brought horrible memories of when my father would do this to me, and before I could stop myself I snapped and pulled myself away from Zander standing up looking at the man which a hard look and determination in my voice telling the man to shut his mouth and leave the girl alone.

I saw the surprise on his and everyone around us' face but I paid no attention to them because I turned to the girl who happen to still be on the floor helping her up slowly we both began walking to the washroom muttering a fast 'I'll be right back" to Nella and the others. Once we made it to the restroom I walked the girl to the granite sinks grabbing a rag putting it under the now on faucet and started to help her wipe off her running make up that was traveling down her face. I looked at her before saying

"Don't listen to what that jerk said to you, people fall it is okay. You did nothing wrong. You are not a stupid child."

She gave me a soft smile before replying "Thank you Luna that means alot coming from you"

After she said that I saw her eyes go big as if she said something terribly wrong but all I did was let out a soft laugh because I thought it was funny that everyone kept calling me Luna, Did these people know something that I didn't? I looked at her smiling

"What's your name beautiful, is there a shirt that you can change into so you don't have to stay in this dirty shirt all day?"

she let out a soft laugh looking at me through her wet eyelashes and puffy red eyes while sniffling

"yes ma'am I have one in the back room and my name is Karly I am sixteen and I am a sophomore in your school"

I smiled at her as I was telling her that she should go change and if she ever needed anything to just come to me and I would be there for her. After I was finished with helping her clean herself up, I walked out the door and I went back to my table that held my new friends. I smiled at them as they looked at me as I sat down. I looked at them before muttering a 'What' before I started eating my bagels that sat in front of me As I took a drink on my sweet tea Nella looked at me

"What was that Arielle?"

I looked at her as I swallowed the tea that was in my mouth rubbing my throat in pain because I took to big of a drink

"I can't just sit around seeing someone yell at another person, I don't like it"

From the corner of my eye I saw Zander let a little smile grace his handsome face. They just nodded their head before they started to eat their food and started having small talk with each other. I started to eat my bagels again but I stopped looking up at Zander who was also eating the food, I don't know what came over me but I wanted to be closer to him, I wanted to feel his body heat combine with mine. So I did the only thing I thought was right, I moved my chair next to him feeling the heat radiating from his body move from his body to mine. I knew that everyone at the table saw including Zander because I could feel their eyes on me as I began to finish my food again. Out of my peripheral vision I saw Zander look down at me with a small smile on his face. I let a small smile grace my face as well. Today, today is the first day In quite a few years that I felt happy genuinely happy . How am I going to leave this place when the time comes?... I don't think I will be able to run from this any longer is my last thought on my mind as I fell into conversation with everyone at the table.
