Zander's POV

I silently gazed at her marvelous face after I uttered the words that could possibly end me or rejoyous me. I watched as her eyes scanned over me while the hospital room was dead silent, the only thing that you could hear were the two of us breathing. When she did not answer me right away and stayed silent, I could feel my heart start to drop to my stomach as a frown came onto my face and then deepen as the silence continued, until she finally spoke.

"Okay talk"

I let my eyes scan over her face before letting my eyes connect with hers. After a few seconds I thought it would be a better idea if she was not sitting on my lap, so that when I am trying to talk to her. . . I won't get distracted. I put my hands on her waist lifting her slightly off my lap and placing her in the empty space next to me on the bed. I knew that this must have disappointed her, because it disappointed me to have to remove her off of my lap.

"I know that all of this must be kind of weird, having your reality change to something different must be freaky. I understand if you do not want to be with a mon-".

Before I could finish the word 'monster' a cold and smooth hand was placed over my mouth silencing me almost immediately. The hand did not only silence me but also sent waves of sparks to pass through my face. I looked at the women next to me in surprise I gazed into her bright blue eyes as she gave me a large grin, as she looked into my brown eyes.

"I want this Zander, being with you. . . It makes me feel all bubbly inside and I love that feeling I love feeling warm and safe. I miss being warm and safe"

I could feel the confusion roll in at the end of her sentence but I soon changed my confused face to a look filled with joy came onto my face because my mate just told me that she wanted me and that I made her feel safe; After she said all of that I could feel Midnight start howling in the back of my head, in happiness but that was soon replaced with his hormonal self telling me to grab our mate and place our mark onto her neck so that everyone could know that she was ours. But I ignored him and put a large smile onto my face looking at her.

"are you sure, are you being for real?"

I knew from the sound of my voice in my ears that I was just a small bit to excited and I thought that would have been a little weird for her but all she did was let out a glorious giggle as she rolled of the bed that we were both on turning herself to me telling me that she wanted food. I felt kind of ify about taking her out there at this moment no one in my pack but the people that were at the diner with me knows about me finding my mate. I did not want anyone to think just because I have found my mate things are going to change. Soon everyone who is a werewolf will know that Zander Black has found his mate therefore making her a target for the many enemies I have gained since becoming the Alpha. Right when she pulled the door to the room an inch open I placed my hand on the door closing it once again, leaving my arm next to her head as she turned herself around and gave me a 'what?' look.

"Beware darling I am a whole different person around my pack mates. Most of them don't even know I have found my mate yet"

When I said this to her she looked at me for a few seconds before she rose her left eyebrow. I watched as her eyes scanned my down body, This made me look down at my body to see that I was wearing a small light blue hospital gown seeing this made my face go slightly pink in embarrassment as I felt a light breeze on my bum. I looked at her face to see that she had a small smirk on her face as she looked at me, my face, again.

"If you act different towards me I will put you in the dog house, no pun intended. Also you should probably change Cinderella."

I could hear Midnight in the back of my head laughing in the back of my head as our mate sent us a small but innocent smile as she moved my hand off of the door, twisting the doorknob and pulling the door open. When she was out of the door I started silently cursing to myself twisting myself around facing the other side of the room and my eyes fell onto a pile of clothes on the chair close to the hospital bed that I was just in with Arielle. I hurriedly pulled them from the chair and onto my body before rushing out the door to follow behind Arielle. I could see that she was currently walking towards the foyer and she was walking about six feet ahead of me. When we were finally out of the hospital wing and in a hallways going towards the foyer she spoke up

"So Zan what is our pack called?"

When she called my pack 'our' pack I could not stop Midnight from letting out another purr sound seeing as he liked that she called the pack ours instead of only mine. I felt myself smile as I looked at her from behind, not in the way many think I would be looking at her either.

"It is called the Blood-Moon pack, my love."

"That's a cool name, How old are you?"

When she said this she looked over her shoulder and made eye contact with me. This question sparked me with some interest because it reminded me that I knew basically nothing about my mate and I really wanted to know more about her, no I needed to know more about my mate.

"I am Twenty Four, how old are you"

Once I finished my sentence I noticed that we had already made it to the foyer. She looked at me telling me that she was nineteen years old and then she turned around and began skipping all the way to the swinging door that led into the dining room. After a few minutes of smiling softly to myself I walked up to the door that went into the dining room that my mate and I pushed the door open with a bit to much force, I heard it as it made contact with something, making me slightly worried. When I stepped into the room I saw that Arielle was on the floor with a look of discomfort on her face. When I looked around the room I saw that the three she wolves at the table Mary (the first female), Saharea (the Second Female) and Zara (the last female) stand up with a look of concern on their faces as they looked at Arielle. That is when Mary saw that It was me who opened the door on Arielle and she then started started babbling at me in a rapid pace.

"She did not mean to stand in front of the door Alpha."

When she finished speaking I noticed that Arielle was already off the floor dusting herself off making sure that there was no more dirt from the floor on her clothes, I watched her look up at me, I made sure to like her over with a look of sorrow on my face that I knew only she saw. I wanted to make sure that she was not injured in anyway because I do not know what I would do if I hurt my mate, even by accident.

"Well Zander aren't you going to say sorry to me?"

I heard one of my pack warriors who was seated at the table Alejandro (the first male, Mary's Mate) let out a soft mutter of "Oh no" to the others that were at the table with him as I looked at my mate who was standing in front of me with her hand on her hip; as if she was scolding one of our pups for misbehaving. Seeing this made me decided that I would tease her a bit.

"I am so sorry Arielle I did not know that you were standing in front of the door."

I had a smirk on my face as I said this but that was removed from my face almost as fast as it was placed there because Arielle smiled seductively at me as she moved closer to where I was standing placing her hand onto my arm as she started leaning closer to my face brushing her cheek against mine as she made it to my ear whispering softly into it,

"Baby can you please go get me some food?"

When she said this I sucked in a deep breath through my nose trying to calm my wolf down; she just doesn't know what she does to me. I looked at her as I let the breath out of my mouth telling her to take a seat at the table and that I would go get her something to eat from the kitchen. Before going into the kitchen I looked over at everyone at the table to make sure that there were no unmated wolves there because my mate was awfully beautiful, I did not want to take the chance. Luckily I only saw three males Alejandro, Joseph who was Saharea's mate (second male) and lastly was Nathanael who was Zara's mate (Third male) he was a rogue that I brought into the pack because he was mates with Zara, who was a born pack member.

After I looked them over one last time before turning myself around and walked into the kitchen to be greeted with the amazing smell of Gumbo. There were three lady cooks standing over the stoves cooking who bowed their heads towards me in respect to their Alpha as they continued with the food

"Hello ladies could you please make a bowl of Gumbo for your Luna?"

I knew that when I said Luna all three of them were surprised because they knew that I had no mate, but now I do. One of the women even looked like she did not believe what just came out of my mouth. The elder lady grabbed a bowl placing a few scoops of goodness into it. When she was finished scooping into it she handed me the bowl along with a spoon and I gave her a small nod in thanks as I grabbed the bowl from her hands turning myself around and walked back to the door, before I walked out though I could hear Zara softly whisper somthing towards her mate that even I could barely hear

"Please don't say anything disrespectful to our new Luna Nate"

I stayed at the door listening to what was going on and after a few seconds I heard my mate's voice

"Do you have a problem with that?"

I heard that there was a slight edge to her voice, almost daring him to say something back to her. What was going on, what are they talking about? Before I could ask myself anymore ridiculous questions I heard Nathanael reply to her

"I do Luna, You seem like a really nice girl. You deserve so much better than an asshole like Alpha Black. I was a rogue, a werewolf with no pack before I got here. If it were not for Zara saying that I was her mate I would be dead right now. I am sorry that the moon goddess has damned you with such an evil soul; A murderer. Monsters like him cannot feel love."

I felt as Midnight take over slightly at the level of disrespect I was getting from this boy. He was not only disrespecting me but he was also disrespecting his Luna by speaking about her mate in such a way, right in front of her. Before I could walk out there and do something to him I heard Arielle speak up.

"I do not have much knowledge about this whole werewolf situation but I am pretty sure that you are to respect your Alpha. If you have a problem with Zander you can leave but do not voice your disrespect when I am in your presence. Oh and just to let you know, even monsters can love"

Once she finished speaking to him she harshly stood up from the table walking out of the dining room. I turned around to the three ladies behind me seeing that they had all stopped what they were doing most likely hearing everything that was just said in the next room, I handed them Arielle's bowl turning myself around and walking out of the kitchen door into the dinning room. All heads turned towards me when I walked into the room I knew that my eyes were going from my normal eyes to my black eyes telling them that I was trying my best to hold my wolf back from taking control. I looked Nathaniel making him gulp as he looked at me.

"Yeah, you are no longer big and bad now that I am in the room huh? Nathanael, Follow me to my office so we can speak of your punishment for outright disrespecting me"

My voice was slightly deeper than it was moments ago. With that I walked to the door opening it walking out. I knew that the mutt was following me because I could hear his timid footsteps coming from behind me as I neared my office. I did not know what I was going to do for punishment for him, I do not kill my pack unless they truly deserve it, and disrespect was little, Death was not needed for that. Also his mate Zara would not live through it, she would end up doing something that would end up getting her killed or would just simply go crazy from it.
