Arielle's POV

Last night had been amazing, I'm speechless of how amazing it was. Waking up this morning was like rebirth; a whole new life is ahead of me. Both Winter and I felt amazing to be here, to have our mate and pack standing with us. Ever since I found out my mother was alive it seems my life is just...better? She may have left me as a child to be with a monster but I think being with Andrew, my father shaped me, I would have never found Zander without going through that.

Speaking of Zander, where is he?
I looked at his side of the bed to see that it was empty and all that was there was a note. Before I picked up the letter while looking at the alarm clock on the bedside table I saw that the clock read 12:00pm; well I slept in. I looked at the note in my hand as I rolled out of bed while smileing at smelling my mates wonderful scent all over it even though his scent was slightly changed because of my mark.

"Good morning my beloved Luna,
I am sorry that I was not there to wake up next too. I hope you are not to angry with me about that. I told the women in the kitchen to make you some food when you get down there.
I love you
x Your mate"

I couldn't help but smile at his cute little letter as I made my way toward our closet to find the outfit that I will be wearing today. Once I was in there for a few moment I picked out a pale pink blazer with white cuffs at that end of the sleeve that stopped in the middle of my forearm, with a tight white floral V-neck shirt, a pair of black shorts that has a small chain in the middle of the waist line, lastly adding everything together would be a pair of pale pink high heels.

I walked out of the closet fully dressed and walked into the bathroom to look myself over and start with my hair, I decided to leave my face nude because I felt it was just that type of day. I did not really do anything spontaneous for my hair today because I was slightly lazy so all I did was put a large professional looking bun on the top of my head. When I was finish with getting ready I walked out of the bathroom and to the door to the room twisting the door handle pulling it open and walking out of the bedroom.

As I was making my way to to dining hall to get some food I was walking down a empty hallway and the only thing you could hear through out it was my heels clinging on the floor boards.
Since it was lunch everyone was most likely in the dining hall eating lunch. Most of the pack lives in the pack house so there is expected to be a large number who will be there. Once I made it to the dining hall and walked into the room I saw that most all the people in the room noticed me come in but I just put a smile on my face and started walking towards the kitchen to ask the women back there if they could make me something to eat.

I let my eyes scan the room before I made it to the door to the kitchen and my eyes landed on the girl from yesterday, just remembering that made me smirk before walking into the kitchen ignoring the glare I was getting from her. When I walked into the kitchen I saw three women sitting at a table eating large bacon burgers with a side of cheese fries.

"Hello there ladies I was wondering if there was anymore food made?"

The older women looked up from her food while giving me a smile while nodding her head towards me

"Yes Luna, Alpha told us you might be up later than everyone is used to waking up so we made you two large cheese burgers and some chili cheese fries... if that is okay with you?"

I smiled at her as my stomach growled at the sound of the delicious food before just nodding and grabbing the plate and bowl that they were in from the counter. I sat in the empty chair that was at the table the three girls were sitting at, the three of them looked at me with wide eyes.

"Luna are you going to sit with us, wouldn't you want to dine with someone of higher status?"

I just shook my head at her as I shoved my silver fork into the fries

"Nope, you guys seem like really wonderful people why don't you tell me about yourselves?"

-one hour later-

After an hour of eating and getting to know the ladies, I had learned the older women that told me about my food was named Celestea (see-lest-ea) and she was fifty-two years old, she had four children who are grown now and she has six grandchildren. She has been working in the kitchen since Zander was only a child. The women who sat in front of my and next to Celestea was named Annabella and she is thirty-six years old, she told me that she had two children one was twelve and the other was eighteen. She has one grandchild on the way from her eighteen year old son, lastly there was the woman that sat on the other side of me, her name is Selene and she told me she is twenty-nine years old and she has one child that is four years old. She told me herself and her mate are going to try and have more children because her daughter is their pride and joy.

When we were all finished eating and said our farewells to each other I thought it would be a good time to go and find my handsome mate and see what he is up to. Right when I walked out of the dining hall I smelt his scent but that is not the only scent I smelt. I smelt the women from last nights. Is this girl trying to get herself killed by Winter because I just might not stop her this time. When I walked up to Zander's office door I heard the girls voice come from inside

"But don't you think you made a mistake, your my mate Zander!"

I heard a deep growl come from inside, I knew that the lack of respect from her was going to get her killed. Lower ranks don't just call their Alpha by their name unless told they could.

"IS THAT A MARK YOU LET HER MARK YOU? YOU'RE MINE!"

I decided not to laugh at how desperate this girl is, trying to get my mate away from me. Instead I just walked into the room. At the sound of the door opening they both turned towards me, the girl; who's name I still have not found out was standing in front of the desk with her hand on her hip while my mate was sitting his chair rubbing his forehead looking like he was about to pull her head off.

"This is a private manner.Leave now"

I felt a growl pass my lips at the lack of respect this girl had for me. Winter growled in my head as well, knowing that she was higher than this mutt. I looked at this girl as she looked at me with a nasty look

"This is my mates office not yours so I suggest you learn your place mutt before I have to show it to you"

I looked at her as I walked towards Zander's desk moving behind it as I stood behind his chair placeing my hands onto his shoulders as I started rubbing his tense muscles immediately feeling his body response to me and getting him to let a small groan pass his lips. I felt a smirk come onto my lips as a few more pleasure filled groans passed his lips and his eyes were closed. I looked up at the girl to see that she was glareing at my hands and at Zander's relaxed face.

"Get your filthy hands of my mate"

When she said those words, I could not stop Winter she took full control, I had not control unlike the other times. Winter moved so fast it was like a blur as she had the girl slammed against the wall by her throat. As if hearing what was going on the door opened as Winter was growling none stop looking at the girl who she was choking with her bare hands. I heard Zeke and Cara, who were the one that came through the door calling my name telling me I was killing the girl. I watched as Winter cut the air supply completely off and the girl clawed at my hand but was to weak to get my death grip from her neck as she started turning a deep red.

"Winter calm down let Arielle have control again"

Once I felt Zander's hand come in contact with our skin as he said this to us. I could feel Winter start to calm down and soon enough we let her slide down the wall gripping her neck while choking on air. I was pulled into Zander's chest as I took a huge breaths of air getting his scent and calming ourself down more.

"Thanks handsome"

Once I backed myself out of his arms I looked at the girl that was on the ground who would not even look up.

"Get Rhia out of here, and Rhia if you disrespect me or your Luna again you will be banished from this pack or put to death"

I watched as Cara and Zeke left with the girl 'Rhia'

'Are you okay Ari-"

Before he could finish anything else I felt myself start to stagger and my vision went in and out and then I fell, the last thing I saw was the panicked and pained look on my mates face before the darkness consumed me.

-Four days Later-

When my eyes opened I thought I would be greeted by my mates worried but handsome face but I was not. I was greeted by the bright blue sky, trees and birds; birds chirpy loudly around me. I sat up in the grass as I scanned my eyes around the location to see I was in the same wooded area I was last time I saw my mom.

"Hello there darling child, I am so glad to see you again... Why don't you look lovely. I am so sorry to pull you away from you body and mate again but we have urgent matters to attend to."

I stood up as I smiled at her. I walked up to where she was standing in her long flowing white dress and gave her a hug, which she patted my back slightly at, but I did not pay any attention to that

"What is this urgent matter that you had to put me into a coma for?"

She slyly smiled at me before looking at the scenery around us. When she looked back at me she looked me right in the eyes

"You and your Guardian are in grave danger Arielle"

When she said this both Winter and I were in high alert and I could hear and feel my heart start to thump rapidly in my heart

"What do you mean that we are in danger mom?"

She placed her hand on my bicep as she looked at me with a glint in her eyes

"The man that your father had been working with before he perished is after you and your guardian too kill the two of you"

I felt the breath I was just taking in get caught in my throat as I looked at my mom

"What why is he out to kill me. Kidnapping me and torturing me was not enough for him?"

She had a sad look on her face as I said this, but I couldn't help but freak out a small bit what does this man want with me?

"He doesn't care who he has too kill to get what he wants Arielle and what he wants is my title. He wants to become the 'Moon God'. Legends were heard if you kill the child of the moon and the child's Moon Guardian that you can get the power to take the position after you have weakened the goddess by killing her child and then you could kill her. But no one in my many many years of living have ever tried any such thing. I have been around for a very long time Arielle."

I looked down at my hands that were shaking before looking back at her face to see that it did not hold any emotion

"How do you know this is what he wants?"

I watched as she huffed before looking at her hands, thinking of how to reply

"Because he has always been jealous of what I have and he doesn't and that jealousy has only grown since he was banished to earth many years ago"

Hearing this made me even more curious and slightly scared as I looked at her in curiosity

"You sound as though you know him? Do you mom?"

After a brief silence she answered my question.

"Why of course I know my own brother darling"
