Zander's POV (finally)

I really do not know how I feel about having the man that was rumored to be out to kill my beautiful mate staying in my home. She asked me about two or so hours ago if she could be by herself in her uncle's hospital room so she could have sometime to be with her thoughts seeing as she has had a lot on her mind since her uncle told her about her mother and then proceeded to be shot by a hunter with an arrow. I do not know if i believe this man, I mean this is about the Moon Goddess.

The Moon Goddess no matter what your position is or if you are in a pack or not, we knew to worship growing up. Growing up my mother would tell me many stories about the Moon Goddess and about all of the wonderful things that she had done for our people and then this man comes here wanting to change our views on the Moon Goddess. He told Arielle that she is the one leading the rogues against the pack under his name. I really do not want to believe this man, but I see that Arielle believes him and I stand behind her on her decision. But just because I stand behind her does not mean that I will let my guard down around him.

After having a long internal battle with myself I was pulled out from my mind by my mate calling a pack meeting through the pack link for me. Once she asked me for a pack meeting I then passed the message onto Alec and Nella seeing as the two of them were my second in commands. I then made sure to call Zeke through the link telling him to come to the meeting knowing that Arielle will most likely like to have her guardian.

-One Hour Later-

"She will be going to go after Arielle, I know that that is her plan. Arielle now is a werewolf and she can now take her place as the Moon Goddess or she could give the title to someone else. Amanda does not want that to happen she loves being worshipped, When the war happens she will be telling most of the rogues to go straight to the Luna"

When Marcus said this I could feel as my shoulders went stiff knowing that Arielle was in danger and knowing that she was not just going to sit in the pack house while her pack was in danger and was fighting for her safety. When Marcus saw that I was not answering he moved onto talking to my beta female Nella, talking with her about placement of everyone on the battle ground. As Nella opened her mouth to reply to Marcus I felt hands being placed onto my shoulders and they slightly squeezed, I could feel as my muscles in my body began to relax at the soothing touch of my mate. At her touch my thoughts drifted back to Christmas Eve night when I officially made Arielle my Luna. I remember how she reacted when she became the Luna and I had to help her shut out everyone thoughts that were coming at her through the mind link. I could feel my smile grow at the thought of that.

"Arielle, your mother may know that you know everything now, she has eyes and ear everywhere it would not surprise me if she has gotten spies in your pack. You will have to watch your back until she brings the fight to you, I know my sister and I know that you are not going to die for her she will make sure you die by her"

I watched as Arielle gulped a small bit as she nodded her head towards her uncle I saw that her eyes started to fill with tears and she tried to shake them away but could not so she ran out of my office into the hallway. I stood up from my desk intending to follow her but was stopped by my beta female Nella who was also stood up with her hand up telling me to stop.

"Alpha let me go talk to her, maybe she needs some girl to girl talk between friends... maybe that will help"

I slightly nodded my head at her knowing that what she was saying was probably true, that my mate needed some girl talk. I watched as Nella walked out of my office door and walked the same way that Arielle had ran. I turned my head to see that the three males that were still in my office were also standing looking at the door, my eyes landed on Arielle's mate and I could feel as Midnight growled out to him.

"Why would you say such a thing like that to her?!"

He turned his head towards me with no emotion on his face, he looked me in the eyes as he sat himself back into the chair that he was just in, still looking at me like he did nothing wrong.

"She needs to hear the truth, no sugar coating it. War is coming Alpha Black and she needs to be ready. Yes I love her, I will always love her for she's my blood but if she is not ready for war... she will die"

I could feel myself start to calm down when he said this knowing that she truly did need to know what was going to happen, war was messy. I was about to take a seat again and reply to him but we heard a thud coming from down the stairs where the girls were most likely at. I was the first one out of my office door not even looking back to see of the others were following behind me. Once i arrived in the living room the only thing that I saw was an unconscious Nella lying on the floor... When Alec ran into the room he made a slight whining noise and ran over to where his mate was lying. I let my eyes scan the room trying to find where my mate was and when my eyes could not find her I closed then trying to get in contact with her through the mate link, which did not work and then I tried through the pack link which as well, did not work. I could feel as both Midnight and I both started to freak out because our mate had yet again been kidnapped right out from underneath our noses.

-Two Hour Later-

These past two hours that my mate has been missing has been crazy for everyone in the house. We had informed the pack about the news of the Moon Goddess, which to say came as a shock to everyone in the pack, I think I even spotted a few of the elders in the pack weeping silently. But they moved on from that because they wished to find their Luna, because they cared for her. When the two of us mated the whole pack felt her become the Luna, it felt like a warm fuzzy feeling of being complete, it made us all stronger. I let my eyes fall onto Marcus who was pacing around the floor like a madman muttering to himself talking about someone by the name of Marisole or something of the sorts, I could also see that he was worried about the well being of Arielle and he was trying to get his mind of it.

I turned myself around about to order another search party to begin so we could all go look for Arielle when the door to the house opened and I was met with the scent of my mate making me spin around and my eyes met with my mate. I looked her over to see that her hair was slick with seat and underneath her eyes were slightly red, but when I made it to her body expecting her to be in the clothes that she was taken in only to be met with her only in a man's jacket, my mate was nude and in a male's jacket. My mind went to the worst thing it could go to and I felt myself growl at the sight of her shivering body. I took a few steps towards her and pulled her into my arms which she happily wrapped her arms around me. I breath in her scent of freshly cut wood and the winter air with a hint of vanilla calming both myself and Midnight.

"I was so worried about you my love, why do you not have any clothes on? Did the people who took you do anything to you because if they did-"

I could not even finish my sentence thinking about that happening to my mate, but to my relief Arielle began to shake her head 'no' before pulling my face to hers giving my lips a slight peck before pulling herself away from me turning to everyone that is in the room then switching her eyes to both Marcus and I.

"The reason that I have no clothes is because I freaked out and Winter took over, and the two of us shifted... When I came back to my human form I was of course nude. I was not harmed I mean they did put me in a cage and the shifting was painful due to said cage... but they did not know how I would react to them"

"Who are 'they' Arielle"

she moved herself over to one of the sofas grabbing the throw blanket that was on the back wrapping it around herself so that it covered more of her body than the jacket did. She placed herself into the arm of the sofa as she looked up at me.

"My uncles Jacksolm and Anocolus"

When Arielle said those names I saw Marcus' head shoot up and look at her in surprise as I turned my gaze to him to see that his eyes were only on Arielle.

"Are these brothers of yours to be trusted Marcus?"

I saw as Marcus slowly gulped a little before turning to meet my gaze before looking at Arielle again slightly nodding his head at me.

"Yes Zander they can be trusted, they and another Brother of mine were the only ones in the entire court on Olympus to see past Amanda's sneaky schemes. They stood up for me when I was before the court and got my Godhood revoked."

When I was about to reply to what he said I was interrupted by my mate speaking up making us turn to her as she spoke to Marcus.

"Was the other brother Krono by any chance?"

The only thing that Marcus replied with was a nod of his head before he sat down onto the sofa putting his head into his hands rubbing his forehead. I turned my gaze away from him and looked at Arielle who already had her eyes on me.

"What did your uncles tell you Arielle?"

After a moment of silence and from the looks of it Arielle having an internal battle with herself she looked me in the eyes once more.

"They told me that the war is upon us Zander...My mother plans to attack in a week's time"
