Here are the rules which must be followed by the 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀

1. Please be 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲 and 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁. Our counsellors have a life outside of Wattpad and need time to get back to you. They are already 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘆𝗼𝘂 to the 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.

2. 𝗗𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 disclose any 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, such as your full name, address and other sensitive information to your counsellors.

3. Do note that 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 with our counsellors will remain 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 and the counsellors are 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗱 to 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲, not even the Heads.
• However, if you show signs of being a danger to yourself or others, the 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀 will be 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱 to 𝗮𝗶𝗱 the counsellors to better help you through this, but no specifics will be shared.
• This will not be shared with the Managers, community members, Wattpad officials etc.

4. This counselling service will 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗵 or until the 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀. During this time, you are free to 𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 and 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 to them about anything that happened etc, but please be 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗳𝘂𝗹 of 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘀 that the counsellor might not be comfortable or be able to help you with.

5. Please read through the 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 each counsellor offers 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 and 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲 that you feel 𝘀𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 and can 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁.

6. Do set some 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 that the 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿 should 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 when interacting with you 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺. This can include certain topics, cursing, jokes, texting style etc.

7. If the 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿 has 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 or 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 that made you 𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, please 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆, or you can 𝗱𝗺 𝘂𝘀 and we’ll let the counsellor know for you. If their 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘀, do 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝘂𝘀 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 and we’ll deal with them.

8. If your 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿 is 𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 with 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘀 or 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁, do 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝘀 as well.

9. If you 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 your counselling sessions, 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 that you 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 and 𝘁𝗮𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿 so that they are notified. 

10. Please check the 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘂𝘀 of the counsellor you wish to request from. If they are 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱, 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁 from them.

11. Do note that this counselling service is 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲, but it would be greatly appreciated if you could drop a review in our dms so that we can better improve this service.
