⁹°129 AC: WE'LL MEET AGAIN
Although it had been a long while since the King requested that Lord Tyrell join his council, the Lord still remained in Highgarden after 4 years.
There were a number of reasons for this, however, but the main one was Daemerea.
His wife thought of King's Landing with disgust. She'd grown fond of the rosy scent that came with living in Highgarden, so much so that the people of the Reach had begun calling her 'the Rose of Highgarden'.
Daemerea knew that she was happier when she was with her family, but she made the most of her situation.
Although the nights when Lord Tyrell would call her were dreaded, she still tried to remain a happy person.
The girl had turned 17 not long ago, making it another year that she bore no children for the Lord of Highgarden.
There were reasons for this as well, one being that the girl had only visited him in his chambers five times in their two-year marriage.
This did make him a bit upset, but Daemerea made up for it. The times that she would visit him were times that he thought about constantly. She was much more beautiful than his previous wife.
Her skin was still firm and soft, something that the man adored.
Daemerea didn't adore her husband as much as he adored her, however. The man had called her to his chambers the night after their wedding, but the girl managed to talk her way out of it.
She lay crying in her bed until she heard a knock on her door. Willem, her new stepson, had come to comfort her.
It ended up with him comforting her in more than one way, making her first experience with a man a pleasurable one.
They were 15 and inexperienced, but Daemerea appreciated the gesture more than anything in the world.
The times weren't just confined to one, however. Daemerea had been with Willem more times than she could count.
His father had only been lucky enough to have five experiences with the girl, but after every bad day Daemerea had, she would go to Willem.
She was right after all. Willem was her escape and she was eternally grateful to the boy.
Daemerea entered her husband's chambers, as he'd requested that Ser Harris fetch the girl.
Daemerea's hair was braided into a braid crown, something that Viserra would do for the girl when they were young. It made her feel closer to her sister.
Lord Tyrell secretly loved it when the girl's hair was like that. It made her look younger.
The Lord looked up at the girl, making her smile at him. "You wanted to see me, my Lord."
The fact that Daemerea had yet to use the Lord's name once was testament enough that she wasn't happy with him.
She'd learned that his name was Dorin a long time ago, but still called him 'my Lord'.
"Yes. The King has sent another raven." Daemerea rolled her eyes. Her uncle sent more ravens than her family did. She still hadn't heard anything about her sibling who should've turned 4.
She managed to keep track of her sibling's ages. Rhaegar had turned 21, Viserra 19, Aeryn 14, and Gael 6.
She wished her family would send her ravens. Viserra never sent any, even though they had been close in their youth.
What Daemerea didn't know was that her family had sent ravens. A lot of them.
They sent ravens about everything, but Lord Tyrell was a cruel man. He took every raven that was sent, burning them before they could reach Daemerea.
She still didn't know about her mother's death.
Daemerea stared at the lord for a while, realizing how much she missed her family.
She was a Targaryen alone in the world, isolated from her family in more ways than one.
She desperately wanted to visit her siblings, but she wasn't even allowed to go on Dragonback anymore.
Lord Tyrell feared that the girl would fly away, leaving him alone.
"What does it say?" Daemerea asked. "What it usually says. The King is in need of a Master of Laws."
The Lord was a bit frustrated with the girl for not allowing him to go and instead making him stay in the Reach, but the decision to stay wasn't just hers.
He wanted his potential sons to know Highgarden as their home.
Daemerea pondered for a moment. In an act of utter desperation, she walked over to the Lord, placing her hands in his.
"Then let's go." The Lord stared at the girl in confusion. "What?" He asked.
"Let's go to King's Landing."

Daemerea walked into the cave that Mexes had called her home for the past 4 years.
The girl would occasionally visit the dragon but was not allowed to fly on her.
Lord Tyrell told the girl that he feared for her safety, but that wasn't the true reason he didn't want her flying.
The dragon had grown a lot in the past years, and at least Daemerea was there to witness it. The dragon's size equaled that of Sunfyre, Prince Aegon's dragon.
Of course, Daemerea didn't know that.
A guard was standing behind her, as always, making sure that she was safe. She approached the violet dragon slowly, earning squeaks of joy from the creature.
Daemerea was also happy, having a chance to fly after a very long time. The trip to King's Landing would be a long one, much longer than her previous trip, and they would only be traveling on land.
Daemerea was disappointed that Willem couldn't join her on Dragonback, but she was alone at the castle now. She would arrive before them if she didn't leave after them.
She quickly stepped onto the saddle as the dragon purred, finally feeling her rider on her after nearly 4 years.
The guard ducked out of the way as the creature made its way to the entrance of the cave, flying out as Daemerea let out a whoop of joy.
Daemerea hadn't realized how much she missed flying until she was soaring above the clouds, the hair that hadn't been tied back flowing behind her.
For the first time in a long time, Daemerea felt truly happy. She didn't realize how fast Mexes had gotten, however.
When she looked down after a while, she saw Cider Hall below her, shocking the girl slightly. She hadn't realized that she was going so fast.
Mexes seemed to slow down after they passed Cider Hall, perhaps sensing her rider's confusion.
The pair drifted in the sky as if they didn't have a care in the world.
After what felt like an eternity, Daemerea finally knew she was in King's Landing.
She smelled the city before she saw it, the overwhelming stench helping a memory resurface from her childhood.
When she saw the city, however, she was in awe.
When she traveled to King's Landing as a child, she hadn't witnessed much, but seeing the city from above made her marvel at some of the sights, especially the Sept of Baelor.
She'd learned about it, but never actually seen it.
Daemerea suddenly felt a breeze go over her, a strange feeling settling in her stomach.
As she looked up, she saw a dragon that looked to be about the same size as hers, only it was gold.
She didn't recognize the dragon but wanted to follow it. It should've led her to the Dragonpit after all.
As she trailed behind the golden dragon, she saw a familiar sight. White hair.
Of course, this made Daemerea a little excited. The people of the Reach all thought she was an example of exotic beauty.
It was refreshing to see someone who shared her Targaryen features. However, she didn't yet recognize who it was.
The two dragons eventually reached the Dragonpit and as Daemerea landed, she heard the sound of a sword being unsheathed, causing her to tense up.
She jumped off of Mexes and turned to the direction the sound came from, finding a boy staring back at her.
Once she saw his face, she immediately recognized him. He put his sword away, staring at her with wide eyes. "Cousin Daemerea?" He asked, making her smile. At least he remembered her.
"Hello, Aegon."
