CHAPTER SIXTEEN:

"Y/N DID IT, MOM."

A large storm had appeared the same evening when Bellamy, Clarke, Jasper and Octavia came back with an unconscious Finn. The large gusts of wind hit the many teenagers that stood by the doors of the dropship, Clarke and Y/n included. The clap of thunder and flash of lightning occasionally came by as some campers were still outside in the storm.

The Griffin sisters found themselves staring outside near the doors while the voice of Raven echoed through the dropship, the girl frantically trying any way to contact the Ark so the girls mother could help treat her best friend's wound. However, it was all unsuccessful as she got no reply each time.

"Are you sure you have the right frequency?" Monroe, who was beside the girl, questions just as Clarke and Y/n walk up.

"Yeah, I'm sure." Raven snaps.

"Raven? You can do this. Okay?" Clarke assures.

The brunette nods in reply as Y/n walks over to Finn, gently removing the soaked blooded rag from his wound, the knife still lodged into his chest. Raven took a few glances at her best friend as she tried to connect to the Ark.

"This is a restricted channel. Who is this? Please identify yourself." A voice demands over the radio, making the few teenagers around them crowd together.

"This is Raven Reyes. I'm from Mecha Station. I'm transmitting from the ground. The one hundred are alive. Please, you need to get Dr. Abby Griffin. Dr. Abby Griffin. Now." Raven explains.

"Hang on, Raven. We're trying to boost your signal." The voice informs.

It's silent, the only sound being the heavy rain as they all waited for someone to say something back to them.

"Raven. Are you there?" A familiar voice asks.

The Griffin sisters immediately look at each other when they heard their mother, Abby Griffin's, voice. Sharing a nod, Clarke leans forward, pressing the button against the radio.

"Mom? Mom, it's me." Clarke reveals.

Y/n leans forward, pressing the button. "I'm here, too."

"Y/n? Clarke?" Abby questions in shock.

"Mom, we need your help. One of our people was stabbed by a grounder." Y/n informs.

"Y/n, Clarke, this is the chancellor." Jaha's voice begins. "Are you saying there are survivors on the ground?"

Clarke nods. "Yes. The Earth is survivable. We're not alone."

"Mom, he's dying." Y/n adds, glancing at Finn. "The knife's still in his chest."

"Okay, can you patch me through to medical?" Abby asks, obviously talking to someone on the Ark.

"Clarke, Y/n, is my son with you two?" Jaha questions, making the girls look to each other sadly.

"We're so sorry." Clarke starts. "Wells is-- Wells is dead."

A long pause happens over the other side of the radio. The sisters walk towards just as their mother speaks, only for her voice to cut off and the dropship shakes from the storm that was happening.

"What? Raven, what's wrong?" Y/n asks.

"It's not the radio. It's the storm." Raven informs.

Walking back to Finn, the Griffin sisters rush around as Raven does the same thing, Abby's voice occasionally going through the radio. As they do that, Octavia walks in, drenched from the heavy rain outside. The Blake girl holds two containers of liquid in her hands, walking towards Clarke and Y/n. The blonde takes one, opening up the lid and sniffing, only to move her head away.

"Monty's moonshine?" Clarke questions.

"Pretty sure no germ can survive it." Octavia replies, shrugging just when a clap of thunder fills the air.

"The storm's getting worse." Y/n points out. "Monroe, close the doors."

"We still have people out there." Monroe reminds.

"Monty and Jasper still aren't back yet. Neither is Bellamy." Octavia tells the sisters.

"It's alright. They'll find somewhere to ride it out." Clarke reassures while Raven walks over.

Raven hands Y/n a needle. "Look. One suture needle."

"Right. We still need something to close the wound." Y/n informs them as her and Clarke exchange a look.

"There's some wire on the second level. I use it for the tents." Octavia announces.

Clarke nods. "Let's see it."

"Stay away from the blue wires that run through the ceiling." Raven demands to the Blake girl. "I rigged it to the solar cells in the roof. That means they're hot. You got that?"

"Yeah, I got that." Octavia replies from over her shoulder.

Raven looks at the sisters, more Y/n than Clarke. "Tell me you can do this."

"Hey, they're back." A voice calls before either of the sisters could reply.

Everyone in the dropship watch as Bellamy walks inside, his goons trailing behind their leader as they dragged an unconscious grounder. The same grounder that had stabbed Finn. The boys drop the grounder to the floor.

"What the hell are you doing?" Octavia asks her brother, anger laced in her tone.

"It's time to get some answers." Bellamy informs.

Octavia raises a brow. "Oh, you mean revenge?"

"I mean intel." Bellamy corrects. "Get him upstairs."

"Bellamy, she's right." Clarke speaks up, agreeing with the youngest Blake sibling.

"Clarke, Y/n, honey, we're ready. Can you hear me?" Abby's voice comes back through the radio.

Y/n sighs, stepping towards Bellamy. "Look, this is not who we are."

"Y/n? Clarke?" Abby tries once again.

Bellamy glances between his sister, Clarke and Y/n. "It is now."

With that, he stomped upstairs to where they put the grounder at. The sisters began to explain what was wrong with Finn's wound as Raven paced back and forth, worrying about her best friend. A few boys had started to push one another, stressing the girls out to which Raven shouted at everyone to go upstairs, and they did, leaving only the three girls and Finn in the room.

After a couple more minutes, obeying her mother's instructions, Y/n began to grab ahold of the handle of the knife, beginning to pull it out like her mother told her to. As she does that, rumbles continue to happen while the dropship shakes from the heavy storm. Clarke and Raven stood by the girl's side just as Raven sees her best friend's eyes opening up.

"He's waking up!" Raven observes, concern and panic written on her face.

"Hold him still." Clarke instructs.

"Finn, I'm gonna get that knife out of you, okay?" Y/n tells the boy she deeply cares for.

"Good plan." Finn croaks out.

Instructing him to not move, Y/n starts pulling the knife out in a slow pace as Raven and Clarke held the boy down in case of anything. While doing that, the whole dropship shook, sending all four of them to the floor. Abby's frantic voice comes through the radio as she tried to contact her daughter's.

Rising to her feet, Y/n glances down at her hand, seeing the bloody knife tight in her grip, letting her know she had gotten it out of Finn. Glancing at the ground, she sees the Collins boy laying there, slightly clutching his wound as he stared up at the e/c eyed girl, their eyes staring into one another's.

"It's out." Raven announces.

"Y/n did it, Mom." Clarke adds.
