PLOT
Fate is something that most people are oh so comfortable with. The direct path forward; the future predetermined; the plan that no one can see, only complete. Fate ties two people together, glittering strings from one person to the next in a glowing array of meant to be.
Rapunzel — daughter of the sun-drop, princess of Corona, and despiser of fate. Rapunzel hasn't always been one for tradition. From saving herself from the tower she was hidden away in and killing the woman she once called mother to becoming a queen of thieves — Rapunzel has always fought against her fate. Because unlike most people, Rapunzel learned what her fate was destined to be. Now running into the Dark One had been an accident, but when he showed her a fate of arranged marriage and unhappiness til death, Rapunzel knew that she could never return to Corona again. Not to the parents she hadn't seen since she was small, not to the kingdom awaiting their princess, and not to the grave dotted with sea-blue flowers where a part of her rested...
Harley Solis refuses to believe in coincidence. She despises fate with every fiber of her being and dances with chance every minute of her life. An orphan by circumstance and a waitress to survive. Harley Solis is as ordinary as a barista with golden hair to her knees can get. That is, until the curse was broken.
Two lives separated by magic become one in an instant. An entire lifetime flashes before Harley as the memories of Rapunzel return to her. And it would have been fine if the two people she could almost consider to be friends hadn't found her and asked her to help them. Harley Solis, unsure if she wants to return to living like Rapunzel, is thrown back into the Enchanted Forest in an attempt to stop Mary Margaret from following her daughter through a magic portal they had sent a demon-like creature through moments before.
Harley Solis — a princess in her past, a daughter hiding from her blood, and a woman haunted by the things she has seen, by the things she has done, falls head first into the fate that she never wanted to be entangled with in the first place.
EXTRA INFORMATION
— to start this plot off, there is a part of what I'm imagining for Rapunzel's Enchanted Forest history that I will only tell to the person who ends up writing this plot. it has a lot to do with her character and how she becomes what I am about to explain!!
— when Rapunzel escapes from her tower, she becomes a thief (a very talented one at that); she's incredibly agile and fast and she's a quick learner so picking up a weapon or picking a lock is like child-play for her (photographic memory almost); but she doesn't just become any kind of thief, she's a master thief - and soon enough a leader of thieves.
— she first meets Snow White and Charming when she tries to rob them (and she's secretly successful); but they respect one another for their skills and in the moment, it sparks a lifetime of partnerships and a new kind of friendship; she's hired by the pair to help them fight the Evil Queen often; she's basically an on-pay mercenary, except she doesn't do assassinations; will Harley kill in a sword fight - yes. she may not kill for cash but when it comes to her own self defense or for another's, she's not afraid to pull out a blade or her power
— she meets Rumplestiltskin shortly after she's [redacted as this is for the future only]. Rumple has a giant impact on Rapunzel because he tells her that he will tell her her future/fate for a piece of her hair. She readily agrees, but the fate she sees isn't a happy one. The fate that Rumple shows her has her returning home to Corona, finding her parents, becoming a princess, having an arranged marriage to a prince she doesn't meet until the wedding, and living a sad, lonely life until she dies. This leads her to doing the opposite of being a princess, being a thief.
— the plot should begin with Rapunzel's life and then ouat's plot in season two. This is because Harley doesn't have a large role in season one. She works several customer service jobs, like at bars and the diner, but other than that she's your ordinary Storybrooke citizen.
— Harley gets sucked into the mortal with Snow and Emma and arrives back in the Enchanted Forest. Remembering her "past life" is a big deal for her because she wasn't the perfect little princess fate had her planned out to be and she's unsure of where she stands in Storybrooke (especially since it's very clear that she can't stay in the Enchanted Forest right now). And of course, we meet the infamous Killian Jones. Harley definitely remembers how to use a blade, although she's a little nervous about using the sundrops power so soon, and she takes charge of watching Hook.
— they two of them are going to tease each other relentlessly; it's up to you, but Harley replacing Emma climbing up the beanstalk would be hilarious. Harley has knee-length gold-gold hair because it doesn't "die" like the animated Rapunzel's, instead it grows unnaturally fast. But Killian being overly ready to steal whatever he can from the giant except when Harley tells him to hurry up he turns around to make a joke about her being "too good to steal" but finds her with her pockets already full of gold and a crown titled on her head.
— when the giant comes after them again, Harley is very adamant with the giant about how no one needs to die. She still leaves Hook behind, promising him that the giant will do him no harm before she grabs a gold dagger and leaves him.
— Killian and Harley are 100% very flirty and angsty throughout season two and three. You can take the plot however you want in in the majority except I cannot stress enough that Killian and Harley are both complicated characters and their relationship has to mirror that. With what I have to tell the writer of the plot, it will complicate Harley and how she feels about Killian so much more.
— a semi-love triangle between Harley-Killian-Emma on Neverland would be very interesting to see, but if you want to focus more on Harley and Killian's development with each other, the other characters, and theirselves then I wouldn't have that triangle go on at all because then you'll really be slowburning Killian and Harley together.
— in season four we all know that the first half is when Killian goes to find Emma and Henry and bring them back to Storybrooke (which would be a really fine to introduce another oc if you wanted to) BUT it's also everyone in the Enchanted Forest again. When everyone is transported back to the Enchanted Forest, Killian first looks for Harley and cannot find her in the crowd. So he leaves, going to chase after the Jolly Roger. But in a day he gets a message from a very angry falcon that is not happy about being a pigeon, and it's from Harley who sounds sarcastic even in writing as she gives him directions. He turns his horse the way to where she's asked him to go and he's laughing his head off as he approaches a tower with a very angry blonde sticking her head out the window. She grumpily explains to him that she escaped the tower herself years ago when her hair was long enough to use, and she didn't expect to be put back.
— when Killian trades his ship for the bean to go and get Emma and Henry he creates a plan with Harley. While he gets exactly what he wants, Harley gets the Jolly Roger ready and so when Blackbeard walks out with Killian to get his ship, he passes over the bean and goes to get on the ship when he's hit in the head from behind and a woman in black somehow gets the ship out of the harbor before he can stop her. And in the chaos, Killian has already portal jumped.
— this would be the equivalent of Emma and Killian's "you gave up your ship for me" with a "you trust me with your ship". This is Killian's home, the last thing he has of his brother and past lover, and it's the second thing that he thought about when he landed in the Enchanted Forest.
— you have free rein with the rest of the season up until the time travel session. Instead of Emma and Killian falling into the portal, Harley and Killian fall through. Except when they land in the past, they screw up Emma's parents ever meeting and then having to put everything back together. And everything is going according as planned for the two except at the ball, because the King and Queen of Corona are there and they almost look exactly like Harley remembers them. "Harley pales at the sight of a couple standing beside the father of the soon-to-be groom. Killian looks at her confused, he doesn't understand the significance of these people until the dance ends and the dark haired woman walks up to the girl with curiosity in her eyes. She asks for her name, and Harley struggles to get out the fake one they've made up. And then her father is there, smiling, shaking Killian's hand and she's freezing up." It isn't until the two leave them alone does Harley tell Killian that they're her parents and how it's been since she's seen them.
— when the two get back to Storybrooke, seeing her parents is so so so important because the same way that Emma learned to value her parents, Harley realizes how much she's truly been shoving her feelings down. So she's running to the diner because surely Granny knows everyone in town and Killian is struggling to keep up with her. But just as she rounds the corner to get to Granny's, she runs directly into a dark haired woman with a man out of breath behind her. And the tears and the hugs ensue and Killian is there, watching this family crumble into the people they were supposed to be together.
— season four is definitely the time to make Killian and Harley official. Whether they decide to date or he decides to pop the question, it's all up to you. After season four you'll get full rein of the plot. There is still development for both Harley and Killian's characters to be made and the story can really go anywhere, especially depending on what you do with Harley's powers.
— Harley: long-hair always; sarcasm 24/7; kind of reserved but she should open up as they plot goes; leather and the woods; hates heights and being trapped; I could see her owning a motorcycle; she's a wild spirit who's kind and begrudgingly helpful and caring;
— Harley and Killian: two broken pieces slowly helping each other heal; he falls first but she needs some convincing; leather and the sea; daggers and swords; slowburn with extra layers of angst and teasing;
