For as long as he could remember, James Norrington had known the Swann family. He had escorted the Governor and his two daughters across the sea, and before then he had worked for the Governor in state affairs and such.
He still remembers the day when he first saw the older Swann sister, Elizabeth Swann. There was a darling party adorned with soft lights that made her cheeks appear warmer and her smile kinder than before. The pearl-colored dress swirled gracefully around her ankles and she glided across the floor at her father's hand - and James Norrington knew right then and there, he had fallen head over heels for Miss Swann.

Over the years that followed, his eyes were always on her. Walking through town with her younger sister and a maid or butler at their side. The way her eyes crinkled when she laughed. Taking her little sister's hand at a party and gently guiding the two of them into their carriage and far away from where he was frozen. Oh, he had fallen for a Swann alright.

For as long as she could remember, Celeste Swann had had a crush on James Norrington. The young man had always been attractive, and when she first met the sailor her young heart fluttered. Elizabeth had promised her little sister that she only had a crush, and that these butterflies and blushes and uneasy feelings would fade away soon enough ( Her sister was a very skilled liar ).

Celeste Swann's feelings did not fade away, they only grew as she got older, but the sweet, innocent love of a girl had became peppered with jealousy and hurt. For at the very first party that Elizabeth and Celeste were invited to, Celeste took it as her chance to truly stand out. A soft blue dress with ruffles that bloomed as she spun on the dance floor with her father. Laughing and smiling throughout the night, always looking toward the lieutenant she loved - and always finding his eyes on her older sister. Oh, and Celeste Swann knew without a shadow of a doubt, she had fallen head over heels for Captain James Norrington.

Over the years that followed, Celeste tried desperately to shove her feelings aside. She walked through town at her older sister's side. She grinned at handsome boys and danced with them all through the night. But still, her heart fell every time she saw his eyes on Elizabeth. Still her cheeks flushed every time she thought his eyes were finally on her. Oh, she was in love with a man who didn't even see her - and her heart had decided there would never be anyone else.

EXTRA INFORMATION

— Celeste Swann (her face claim can be changed): this girl is a lot like her sister, seeing as Elizabeth nearly raises her. (they're only a year apart). Celeste has read nearly every book their father has and as long as she acts innocent her father will explain anything to her. She's a little spoiled, but she doesn't let the riches go to her head - the only thing that gets to her is James Norrington. Celeste's character: she's not as bold as Elizabeth, she values truth and honor, she's a fighter, she's not much of a leader (she's perfectly fine with following Elizabeth and doing as she's told, as long as it doesn't go against her beliefs), there is nothing that the Swann sisters won't do for each other.
— Celeste and James: James is in love with Elizabeth, so much so that he barely sees the younger Swann. Celeste is in love with James, and she knows that he only has eyes for her sister. They're both unrequited lovers BUT that does change as the fic goes!! Once they fall in love, they're incredibly cute together; teasing each other, gentle touches (brushing hands, holding hands, his hand on the small of her back, her hand grabbing his wrist when she's frightened) they're adorable
— this fic follows an au plotline!! Whoever decides to write this fic obviously can choose how much they really want to change but here are the two alternate change that I want this plot to follow!! 1. Celeste convinces James to not leave with the heart and to start a new life as a pirate. 2. As long as you don't go with one - when Elizabeth and the crew she's "inherited" are captured Celeste is too. when everyone is escaping off of the back, Celeste convinces James to come with them. you can decide if he still dies or not (although I'm sure it would be better if he didn't)!!
— in "cotbp" Celeste runs into Will and Jack as they're escaping the prison, Celeste having just gone to see her father and James about Elizabeth, and she tells the two that she's going with them (they do not disagree with her). when Jack, Will, and Celeste get away with the ship, this is the first moment that James notices Celeste
— yeah, Celeste is a girl who has always been treated as a princess by her father AND who will always willingly risk her life for her older sister. I'm giving anyone who takes this plot free will of the majority of the plot for "curse of the black pearl". EXCEPT AT THE END!!
— we all know it goes, Elizabeth climbs out the window and Celeste agrees to stay to keep up the charade. when the undead-pirates attack Celeste runs out of the room while her father runs in and quickly grabs a sword (she should definitely get some lessons from Will or Jack's crew) and starts fighting a pirate. But this is a lot different from the baby fights that she's been in before AND she's the only woman on a ship that's about to be taken by pirates. so where does Celeste immediately think to for help - James. Except as we know, James is still making his way back to the ship. So Celeste is stuck, desperately fighting off multiple pirates that will not die and she's losing but there's just too many pirates and not enough men to help. Yet out of no where the man we're all waiting for appears and gets between Celeste and the pirates. When the fighting is over, Celeste and James could definitely hug in a race of emotions before he realizes that her face and side are bleeding (surface wounds).
— the next movie is going to be fun because this is when Celames becomes a thing. they get to spend a lot of time together since James is on Jack's crew and you can definitely dive out of canon for scenes with the two at night or at meals or talking and staying up when he has watch. the cute moments are endless too, falling asleep on his/her shoulder, suddenly kissing them, making the other blush crazily because they're trying really hard to flirt.
— most of the plot of this movie is up to you and then it all leads into the end where you can choose to have James either steal the heart or not steal the heart and stay with Celeste. if you choose to have James stay that immediately leads you into an alternate universe that you get to create!!
— if you don't choose to create an entire au for James just yet, the next movie happens as planned. again, most of this plot is up to you.
— when Elizabeth, Celeste, and the crew her sister has inherited her captured, it'll be Celeste and James sharing those tense moments. this also leads into the next part where you can begin an au. does James choose to go ahead with Celeste or will he die as is canon?
— no matter what you choose the rest of the plot is up to you (even if it's to decide to continue Celeste's story into dmtnt)!!
