4:20 pm. That's what the watch read and I was ready, having no idea where we were off to. A little change in the plan and I don't know how since he had his practice till 5. Wearing a black spaghetti strapped crop top along with a white woven overcoat and light washed blue jeans, I sat on my couch waiting for Virat.

Ten minutes later, my doorbell rang indicating his arrival but little did I know it wasn't him. There stood Rohit wearing a driver's uniform for God knows what reason.

“Ro?” I questioned and tried to suppress my giggles.

“Yeah, yeah laugh as much as you want, but madam I am your chauffeur for the day, so let's hurry up before the desperate man comes here itself,” he grumbled while I laughed at him.

We both moved out of my flat and got into the car which was in the parking lot. It was a good half an hour drive with me questioning Rohit about the practice and how the hell did they both sort it out? “Broo, that's us for you I guess,” he just said as we both laughed at their silliness.

“And here's your destination and I am off duty now, byeeee” he sped off. I shook my head at the crazy human who just left and moved forward following the trail. We were currently in the outskirts of the city and it also seemed like a private property since no one was there around.

Wait! Did he leave me here to die? What if this is the wrong place? Oh my god, I started to panic and took out my phone, immediately calling the man of the hour, who was supposed to meet me.

Virat Kohli.

He picked up immediately and just said, “Nush, continue walking, you are on the right path,” this did settle my panicked self but, “Okay, but don't hang up,” he chuckled on the other side but didn't hang up.

As soon as the small trail ended, I saw the most beautiful thing ahead of me. Nothing extravagant but just the beauty of nature, a lake surrounded by trees on all sides, no decoration or anything like any usual dates and that's exactly why I liked this human in front of me.

“Hey,” I heard a whisper from behind me. None other than, Virat Kohli.

“Where were you?,” I immediately asked.

“Hello to you too, I am fine,” Virat mocked me while I just glared at him.

“Okay okay,no need for those eyes. If you haven't noticed already, there's a small air bnb type thing here which I own, so I could see you from the terrace there,” he answered.

“I did notice it and assumed it was private property. Anyways, we are heading towards your villa?” I questioned, suddenly sad, not wanting to leave this beautiful place.

“I planned on sitting on the jetty here and see the sunset while we chat and maybe have some wine,” he briefed me.

I squealed and hugged him showing my approval immediately, “I love this location, Vee. It's absolutely gorgeous. I guess we finally found our place in the chaos of Mumbai, ha?”

“Absolutely! Do you want to check the villa before we settle down? I have to go in to take wine and we also have some white sauce pasta if you are hungry?” he questioned. I nodded and followed him to the villa.

We took our wines and pasta, heading towards the jetty with wine glasses in our hands. “So, who helped you with all these ideas, ha?” I raised my eyebrows teasing him.

“Well, I do make amazing plans, aren't you doubting my capabilities?” He teased me in return while I laughed at our silliness.

“Yeah yeah, I know. Nevertheless, tell me how did you end your practice early?” I questioned.

“Let's leave it for me to know and you to not bother,” he winked, having a sip of his red wine while I shook my head at him. Somehow the conversation just flowed from there just like the water flowing in front of us. Talking about anything and everything as we sat there looking at the sun in front of us.

“Virat,” I called him, causing Virat to look up at me, silently asking me to continue.

“I have had my share of relationships, within the industry and outside it too. Some of them were fine while some ended on a sour note but none of them were special. None of them made me feel those butterflies until you. Last time, you had confessed something and made the day extremely special and today is no less,” I paused as I looked in Virat's eyes. I could see the love and care, I could feel the butterflies, I could stare into those brown eyes forever as cheesy as it sounded.

“I love you,” I muttered as I took Virat's hand in mine who looked quite overwhelmed himself by the little confession of mine. He hadn't seen this coming.

Virat had just planned this date to spend some time together after the whole chaos and with the IPL coming, he knew there wouldn't be much time for them, alone. He just wanted this to be special and hence all the preparation.

“I love you,” he whispered back, pulling me for a hug. Both of us just stayed there in each other's embrace as we looked over the horizon, the peaceful evening sky.

“You know, I never asked you to be my girlfriend!” Virat suddenly exclaimed and stood up immediately pulling up me with him.

“I am bad at all the long speeches, so I will be short, simple and sweet, will you be my girlfriend?” Virat asked as I laughed at the goofball in front of me, I was definitely like this Virat more.

“Yes,” I said as he again pulled her towards himself asking for my permission as I slightly nodded, quite shy.

And there stood the couple, who had just started writing their own book with endless memories to be recorded and ups and downs to be experienced, with their lips pressed against one another.

Hey guys,

Finallyy! They are official 🤍 kinda wanted this chapter to be better but I just didn't have the patience in me to keep it in my drafts anymore. I hope everyone likes the chapter.
