Chapter Nine
Rody felt like he forgot how to breath, and somehow, he didn't mind.
Vincent, his boss, was kissing him.
Vincent, the love of his life, was kissing him.
Vincent, who used to just be "Chef" to Rody, was kissing him.
So Rody had to respond, of course. Come on, it was Vincent! He didn't really care about any of his surroundings at the moment. The two men were only focused on each other.
It felt right. Everything seemed perfectly in place. Rody returned the kiss, pressing his mouth against Vincent's, savoring the feeling of the younger man's lips on his. Rody has no idea how this happened- it seemed that just yesterday he could never even dream of being in the love of his life's arms, kissing him, but here he was. And he couldn't have been happier. Rody felt a pair of hands move down to his waist, and Rody up the back of the younger man's neck in response. He was in heaven, and he didn't want this moment to end for anything in the world.
Rody tightened his grip on Vincent's hair. The Chef and Waiter lost track of time, too focused on each other to take any notice of their surroundings. Rody gasped for air pulled back, much disappointed to break the kiss. They were both panting heavily, but wasted no time and pulled each other closer, making it obvious they wanted each other. Vincent pulled Rody's face impossibly closer, smashing their lips together. Their kisses were quickly getting faster, sloppier, and more needy. And Rody loved it. He couldn't get enough of this feeling, the same feeling that he hated himself so much for feeling before.
Oh, how he loved this man.
"V-Vince..." Rody groaned. He hadn't realized just how needy he was until he heard himself. Vincent pulled back a bit, to Rody's disappointment, only to start attacking the skin on Rody's neck. Overwhelmingly turned on, Rody sighed, feeling his face flush as Vincent laced hickeys and bite marks on Rody's neck. Rody refused to believe how submissive he was being, but he loved every moment of it- how did his tongue do all those tricks? The amount of pleasure that Rody felt was indescribable. Nobody had ever made him feel like this before- he was being driven crazy with Vincent's hot breath lightly hitting his skin, his lips tracing over all the right places. This was so wrong- and Rody knew it. He was making out with a man! To anyone else, this was a sin. If someone walked in on them, they would be shunned from their community and arrested. Rody knew he should hate himself for doing this; he should push Vincent away and run, but he couldn't. He fucking loved it. He hated how much he loved it and would never admit how much blood shot downwards when Vincent started grinding against him, but he couldn't help it. It felt almost like a drug- and he was too addicted to ever even think of going back.
The older man parted his lips slightly, and he felt Vincent's tongue slide into his mouth, mapping and exploring every inch of it. Vincent broke the kiss and started sucking the skin of Rody's neck while Rody whimpered, gasping. Anywhere else, he would have practically died of embarrassment for letting himself make these noises, but he couldn't help himself. He was so aroused that he didn't think he could go back now, if he even wanted to- which was the last thing he would ever want. Rody had basically lost control of his body; the amount of pleasure that was rushing through his body was too overwhelming to handle. Rody was definitely going crazy, and he definitely wasn't complaining.
Rody shuddered as he felt a cold hand slip under his shirt, tugging the accessory off. Was this really happening? Vincent didn't hesitate and pushed Rody down onto the floor, kissing him. Vincent ran his hands along Rody's body, and Rody would never admit how deep he was falling. Rody whined under the man's touch, craving more. How did they end up here? Would they really do this? Rody felt his shirt being slipped off, and he felt Vincent tug on his pants, the pale hands resting on his waistband. One move, and they wouldn't turn back. Rody knew that, too. He wrapped his arms around Vincent, and-
RING RING RING! RING RING RING!
Rody groaned and smacked his alarm clock to the floor so it would stop screaming. Why, why out of all the times he could've woke up, it had to be when things were getting hot? Rody sighed. He didn't want to admit how disappointed he was that it was a dream.
Of course it was a dream.
It was always a dream! This was his 4th... intimate dream in a row involving him and Vincent ever since he and Vincent made up.
But why... why did it always feel so real? Why did- ugh- why did Rody want, so bad, for it to be real?
Rody groaned as he got up, quite hesitant to do so. Still thinking of the events in his... interesting dream, he blushed and checked the time.
"OH SHIT-"
Rody didn't mean to audibly gasp as he realized he had 20 minutes to get to work. He immediately rushed to change into his uniform and very briefly fix his hair before leaping on his horse and dashing to the bistro. He was definitely going to be late, shit. And the fact that moments from his dream last night kept flashing in his mind didn't help with his goal of getting to work as quickly as possible. As he pedaled as quickly as he could to the bistro, he felt himself getting soaked. 'Oh great, just my luck. Now, on top of being late to work, I'll be soaked on the way.'
Rody burst through the door of the bistro, panting heavily. "SORRY I'M LATE- I SLEPT IN, AND IT WAS RAINING ON THE WAY HERE-"
Vincent sighed. "Don't worry about it, Rody, but please do try to arrive earlier, it's your fourth day in a row you're late. Also, I think you broke your record. You look even less presentable today than yesterday." Rody blushed with embarrassment. These stupid dreams of his kept getting in the way of his work! Thank goodness he was on Vincent's good side, or he would've been yelled at for hours... "Sorry, Vince!" Rody said sheepishly. Vincent smiled and replied, "It's fine. Just- try to arrive on time tomorrow. I'll dry you off to make you somewhat more presentable, and you can get started right after."
Vincent left the room and reentered with a towel and started drying Rody's hair. Rody blushed. Rody and Vincent had been in a similar position before, but this felt so different. That dream of his still wasn't helping.

Rody did terrible during his shift. He spilled an appetizer, had slower delivery service than ever, and kept glancing to see if Vincent was in the room. Rody blamed it on his dream and Vincent. His mind was always wandering off to one of those topics. He couldn't concentrate on his work! He always felt like he wasn't in the room, although his body physically was. Rody lost count of the amount of times he sighed. All Rody could do was pray for the customers to stop complaining about him and for his shift to be over.
Rody walked outside to take out the trash, glad to get a break from a customer yelling in his ear about how slow he was. He sighed, and didn't notice someone walk behind him. "Hey," Vincent said, and Rody yelped. "Sorry, I didn't know you would be so surprised-" Vincent said quickly. "I just- is there something wrong? You seemed to be really distracted for the last four days, especially today. What's wrong? Is there anything that's bothering you?"
'You, who else?' Rody thought. Nothing could ever convince him to say that out loud to Vincent, though. "Nothing, I- I- Uhm.." Rody was taken aback when Vincent grabbed Rody's arm and looked him in the eye. Rody gulped, blushing furiously. How did Vincent turn Rody on so easily with such simple actions?
"I wasn't born yesterday, Rody. I know you better than that, and you know it. What's really going on?" Rody looked away, mostly because he probably wouldn't be able to hold himself back from kissing him if he looked into those beautiful eyes of his boss for one more second. He had to make something up, and fast. "A-actually, I-I, umm, uh..." Rody said awkwardly. "Really, nothing's wrong- I- Oh! Right! I should get back to work, bye Vincent, talk to you later!" Rody forced a smile that screamed suspicious, but suddenly, he was more eager than ever to go back to serving customers. "Okay, Rody..." Vincent said, obviously suspicious.

Rody sighed for the thousandth time today. His shift was finally over, and he couldn't bear to look at his boss for a minute longer. He was reminded that Vincent would never feel the same way towards Rody every time Rody saw him. Not to mention the fact the Rody's feelings were growing stronger with every action Vincent did, every time he heard his voice. He wouldn't be able to control himself for much longer, yet every time he was away from Vincent, he felt so... well, empty. Incomplete. Vincent was Rody's everything. He wanted to completely push Vincent out of his life and get rid of these feelings for good, and but he couldn't live without Vincent if he tried. He knew he couldn't- and never could live without Vincent.
Rody got ready to head to his apartment and mounted his horse when he heard a voice. "Rody, wait!" Vincent ran up to Rody and handed him an umbrella. "I can't let you arrive to work soaked every time it rains. You need this more than me, anyways." Rody blushed and looked at his boss. "I can't take this, I- this is yours!" Vincent smiled and pushed the umbrella into Rody's hands. "Take it, I have another one at home anyways. And when am I going to need an umbrella? I don't go out, and I live upstairs, remember?" Rody stood there and took the umbrella, blushing like mad. "I- um. Thanks so much Vince, I- You didn't have to-" Rody stuttered, experiencing a loss of words, his mind failing him. "No problem Rody, but you should get home and get some rest now. It's been a long day for you." Rody did not object for one second.
Rody was about to head off when Vincent called out one last time. "Oh, and one more thing Rody."
"You know, your lying skills really need to be worked on."
