______________________________________________

It was the dawn of a lustrous Wednesday morning. The golden sun rose slowly over the crown of emerald hills in the distance which were surrounded by swirls of wispy white mists. The midnight dark sky swiftly took their leave as the dazzling rays of the sun continued to gradually light up the sky to a brilliant ocean blue.

The thrushes and blackbirds awoke from their deep slumbers in their nests and with a quick ruffle of their velvet soft feathers, they spread their colorful wings and took off into the sunny sky, all the while bursting into a madrigal of melodious songs of nature, reminding everyone around to rejoice in the priceless gift of a new day.

The dark spotted thrush fluttered past the swarm of trees before coming to a rest by perching itself on the edge of a marble white windowsill peeking through the gap in between the lace curtains into the serene atmosphere of the bedroom within. Wrapped in a bundle of snow white blankets, laid a young girl on a huge canopy bed enjoying a peaceful, undisturbed sleep. Her chocolate brown locks sprawled upon the lush lavender pillows.

The playful thrush hopped closer to the windowsill, before opening its tiny beak and letting out a stream of honeysweet melodies. The cheerful melodies danced through Lindsay's ears making them slightly twitch and within a few moments, the young girl was pleasantly escorted into reality from her dreamland. She rolled over to her side and her tired eyelids gently fluttered open to catch a glimpse of the tiny dancing bird who accompanied her windowsill.

Reaching her hands above her as high as they could go, she stretched herself tremendously to shake herself off of the lingering traces of her slumber. Soon after, she sighed and a content smile crept up her lips as she was enchanted by the early morning scenery just outside the window. She could see flocks of little birds like her thrush friend soaring high up above the cotton clouds. The warmth sunlight which streamed in through the gap in the windows felt heavenly as it caressed her skin.

The small pots of nettles which were placed neatly along the windowsill had beads of dew drops along their spiky edges making them appear as if they have been kissed with crystal stars.

A stream of happy giggles erupted from Lindsay as she snuggled deep within her blankets admiring the beauty of the day. Even though she had been almost arrested last night and had been on the verge of spending almost an eternity behind bars, this marvelous day seemed to make up for the disputes of last night.

"I love the sun," she sighed to herself. "As well as the hills, the little birdies, the clear skies and the bright red creepy claws and the green plants and let's not forget the- "she suddenly halted in her miniseries of praises when she suddenly felt a tickling sensation on the tip of her scalp.

A/N: You may stop the music here.

To her horror, the alarming tickling sensation started to grow as she felt something fairly large creeping around on her scalp, nearing her forehead. Then out of nowhere, came into view right before her eyes, two of the brightest and crimson claw like objects from above.

They were complete with a pair of black pincers at the tip of each claw, slowly snapping in and out. Her eyes went wide and her pupils shrank in disgust as the heaven opened and Lindsay bellowed in sheer fright. She immediately leapt out of her covers and started to frantically brush at the roots of her long hair with her fingers like a madwoman while squealing in fright.

"AHHHHHHHHHH! CREEPY BRIGHT RED CLAWS HELP!" she screeched long and hard in terror, enough to make her lungs gasp out of breath and of course, her little thrush friend who was obviously petrified by her loud wails, instantly took off with an alarmed screech.

She jerked and tugged at her hair with full speed before finally her aggressive hands sent something from her hair flying through the air making it land with a plop on the carpeted floor. Seeing the sudden appearance of the object, Lindsay abruptly stopped at her vigorous brushing, her hair unfortunately sticking out untidily at all ends like a lion's mane.

She caught sight of something red creeping up slowly on the carpet. After taking a few moments to properly overcome her frenzy, she hesitantly crept towards the moving object in curiosity. She inched closer to it to better examine it before gasping upon realization, "Oh my God, it's living! It's a ..." She examined the eight wonky twigs of legs sticking out from under its armor of a shell, of course, the freakishly large crimson claws right in front of them and the disgusting pair of stalks for eyes which were perched right on top of its miniscule head, waving to and fro, each movement making Lindsay almost want to be sick.

"It's a... AN UGLY CRAB!!!!" Lindsay wailed loud enough to awaken the entire neighborhood with a jostle.

Meanwhile, right outside her window, were a random mother and her preteen son who happened to be strolling pass by the neighborhood. Upon hearing Lindsay's petrified squeals, they jumped and looked up towards the said girl's window. "Ahh, there's a creepy crab in my room, someone help me!" they heard the girl wail loudly followed with a series of hiccups and sobs.

"My Lord," the mother exclaimed in annoyance, furrowing her eyebrows at the window. "Some people early in the morning,"

"Mom?" the mother looked down to see her son tightly clutching at his ears with his hands. "Why does that girl have to be screaming at this hour?" he whined.

The mother let out a huff of irritation before placing her hands firmly upon the boy's shoulders. "Heaven only knows, child." She replied with an eye roll before adding, "This is exactly the reason why you have to go to school every day and then someday get a degree so that you won't be a menace to society like these people,"

"Ok, mom," the boy sighed. He cringed as he heard Lindsay wail even louder from her window. Shaking her head violently, the mother put her arm around the boy's shoulders before quickly ushering him away from the street and towards his school.

Lindsay, back in her room, was humorously standing on top of her bed while eyeing the crab which was crawling around aimlessly on the carpet, with so much fear in her eyes.

"And a very good morning to you too," came a smooth honey dipped voice. Lindsay's eyes trailed across the room to find none other than Namjoon leaning coolly against the doorframe admiring the chaotic scene before him with an amused smirk on his lips.

There he stood so handsomely tall and completely flawless with his light hair swept neatly to the side, all dressed for school. His outfit being an aquamarine blue sweater, jet black jeans with his signature messenger bag slung around his shoulders.

"What are you looking at?" Lindsay couldn't help but snap at him before resuming her frightened stare at the creepy sea creature on the ground a few inches away from her.

Namjoon chuckled to himself. "Wow. If living with you means that such high class entertainment is promised along with my breakfast, then I might actually like living with you," he remarked bemused as his eyes lingered on Lindsay still standing on her bed with her hair messier than a bird's nest, sweating all over.

He decided that he had perhaps let his uncanny roommate suffer enough...for the time being. He glided inside the room before kneeling right beside the creepy crab and scooping it up in both of his hands. Lindsay witnessed this entire series of actions in pure disgust and horror.

"There, I got him now," Namjoon said as he smiled down at the crab in his hands before using one of his hands to gently pet its shell. He looked up at Lindsay on top of the bed with a smirk. "You can come down, now. Get dressed for school. I've made breakfast downstairs,"

Lindsay's eyes widen in shock before narrowing down into a cold frown at Namjoon. "It was you!" she shrieked at him. She pointed a long index finger at the creature cupped in his hands. "You put that...that...Urgh..." she growled with clenched fists unable to finish off her sentence while maintaining her glare at the crab without feeling nauseated to the pits of her stomach.

He laughed maliciously while still cupping the squirming crab in his hands. "Thought you needed a little pay back after what you put me through last night," he explained with a devilish smirk.

At his words, Lindsay stared at him stunned with her mouth hanging open. "What the-I thought we promised Ms. Melody that we won't play any more tricks on each other!" she stuttered out in protests making Namjoon snicker at her as he continued to caress his pet crab.

He looked up and met her gaze. "You know, you always make me want to break the rules for a change," he replied softly but dangerously making Lindsay gulp in the process as she realized that she was indeed terrified of Namjoon more than the crab he held.

"Anyways, come down, clumsy toes," he snickered one last time, before turning on his heels and marching his way out the room leaving Lindsay still standing on the bed appalled. However, her eyes fell on something placed on her desk, which made her memory jog and also helped her to find her voice. "Hey, wait up!" she yelled after Namjoon causing him to momentarily stop in his tracks.

"Hm?" he said as he turned around to face her. Lindsay scrambled down from the bed before making her way towards her desk and picking up a miniature bonsai plant off of it. She then, without a warning, flung it straight at the unsuspecting Namjoon with all her might.

Namjoon yelped causing him to drop the crab in his hands but he managed to swiftly catch the bonsai plant which was hurled at him, in midair. "What's this all about?" he asked confused as he turned the caught plant in his hands, examining it keenly.

"I hate doing it but I had to get you a thank you gift for letting me stay over," Lindsay replied with a snort, her hands crossed over her chest in a sassy manner. "Don't get me wrong. It's just for the dumb niceties and not because I wanted to be pals with you or something," she warned as she glared at him.

Namjoon, for his part, appeared to be immensely mesmerized by the simple but intricate plant which he held clasped between his hands. A genuine and sweet smile slowly revealed itself upon his rosy lips before he glanced over at Lindsay. "Thanks," he said with the same smile. "But there are other polite ways to give someone a gift without throwing it at his face like that,"

Lindsay scoffed with an eye roll at this. "As if," she starkly said. "Who said I was trying to be polite to you. I was trying to see whether I could possibly break that annoying nose of yours with my throw," However, Lindsay couldn't deny the extreme pleasure she secretly felt when she saw that she had caused Namjoon to smile radiantly at her instead of him giving one of his annoyed smirks to her. Of course, she was not going to allow Namjoon to know that fact.

Namjoon let out a loud offended gasp before his sweet smile was instantly replaced with his special smirks reserved for his roommate. "Is that so?" he daringly asked, glaring daggers at her. "If we are now throwing things at each other, you're forgetting who has a crab in his hands."

Saying that he scooped up the crab which was next to his feet with his free hand. He threateningly held it out towards Lindsay causing her to let out a high pitched shriek as she saw its wiggly legs.

Drawing the crab right back towards his chest, Namjoon chuckled at his roommate's comedic reaction. "That's what I thought," he smirked before continuing. "So you be a good girl for me, clumsy toes. If you get naughty, you know what's going to happen to ya."

This supposedly flirty and double meaning statement caused Lindsay's eyes to grow wide as saucepans. "Wait what-? Astonished, she tried to say, but she found out that Namjoon had already slipped out of the room and she was left all alone.
