"so that's..." leo trailed off as he got lost watching the weird, but beautiful, fluid.

"your mum" you teased, interrupting leo's sentence.

"the mutagen that turned as all in what we are now" ignored you donatello as he explained.

"let's drink some" suggested michelangelo.

"what! why would you do that?" raph asked, wanting to understand his brother's thinking.

"cause if you mutate a mutant you get a super mutant" michelangelo was sure of his response and that's why he wasted no second saying it.

"yeah i don't think that's how it works" you tried to reason with mickey even if you knew it was pointless.

"or a pile of goon on the sidewalk" donnie ignored your comment once again but you didn't mind.

"either way it's an improvement" added raphael, throwing in one of his insult for his brother.

"shut up" you quickly scolded him with a slap on his arm.

"guys,this is huge. whoever kidnapped those people it's somehow connected to what happened to us fifteen years ago."

"how's that possible?" donatello asked that more to himself but it didn't stop michelangelo from answering his brother anyway.

"with alien robots anything is possible"

"i'm with him" you added not missing a beat, your thump pointing to the 'little' brother.

mickey smiled at your support for him and you copied his actions

"what- why?" questioned raphel.

"because when you live with mutants turtles and their dad, who is a rat, you start to believe anything" you made them realize your point of view and it made them understand a little more, or at least for raph.

"you, don't encourage him" donnie's finger was pointing right between your eyes as he scolded the two of you "and you, stop! there's no such thing as alien robots"

"oh yeah?" michelangelo walked in front of the man — who you had momentarily forgotten about — before grabbing his face "well if there's no such thing as alien robots how do you explain THIS!"

he grabbed the man face and started trying to get the mask off.

"man this mask is glued on thigh" talked to himself michelangelo.

"mickey stop it's not a mask" leonardo's tone was exasperated, how could his brother think something like that, and how could you believe him.

"okay he's human, but the other guys were totally alien robots" tried again mickey.

"enough! time to get some answers" finally raph decided to step in, you were happy to change subject but you would've been lying if you had said that you weren't afraid that he could've caused chaos.

in fact a small "oh god" left your mouth as you watched him approach the man, the container now in his terrapin hands.

"who are you? what's going on?" that were the only two question he asked.

"name's snake, and i got nothing to say to you hideous freaks, but maybe if you give me five minutes with the girl..." as he talked about you snake's expression changed from a disgusted one, to a disgusting one.

"oh too bad she's off limits" growled raphael, trying to not let those comments get to him "but no problem, you'll talk once you know us"

the man was trowed at your foot and while leo and donnie made sure he couldn't escape, raph decided to use the mutagen to interrogate him.

"see we were just regular guys, until" he opened the container "we got hit with a little of this"

you had to stiff a laugh at the scared face of the man, you had to admit it was fun scaring criminals.

"what- what are you doing?" his tone was different, fear evident in his voice.

"playing a little game that i like to call 'mutation roulette', now you could turn out handsome like me or you might end up disgusting and deforme like mickey here"

"ehy!" protested the brother.

"raph!" you dragged the last sillabe with a singing tone.

he ignored you as he focused on having some information.

"so, you feel lucky?" he smirked.

you watched as the turtle tilted the container letting the mutagen start to drop.

the man was clearly hoping that he would stop but you could see that raphael wanted answers and if that was the only way to have it, so be it.

"okay okay, they call themselves the krang, they're getting scientist from all over the city." confessed snake.

"now that worked pretty good" said leonardo complimenting his brother work.

"of course it did, would you want to look like mickey?" raphael threw only a small glance at his little brother as he talked.

"i'm right here" he tried to say, sounding little sad.

you hugged mickey from the side, using way to much force for it to be called a hug, in fact it made him feel more like he was being strangled than hugged.

"okay, okay thank you for the love [name]" his voice came out very low and high pitched and you decided to let go of your grip a little — or at least enough to make him breath.

you laid a kiss on top of his head as you listened to the conversation.

you heard that snake didn't know what they wanted from the scientist, he knew that 'the krang' were taking them out of the city, but he didn't know where.

as you finally let go of mickey's neck — making him take a big breath as he rubbed the spot where your arms were — you also heard that donnie started talking about the girl, he and her dad were both scientist and in his mind it was the perfect situation.

"i don't think you're her type" talked snake giving you a piece of his mind, too bad you hadn't asked for it.

you gave the man a hard kick on the stomach for that and he let out a pained groan that made you smirk.

"where are they now?" asked your leader.

leonardo was watching the building behind the lenses of his telescope, from your spot near him you couldn't see much and you were just waiting for him to tell you something as mickey kept his eyes on snake.

"there's gotta be like twenty of them down there" he confirmed as he put his telescope down.

"shit" it left your mouth before you could even think but donatello found himself agreeing with you.

"yeah, and that's just the ones we can see" he added.

donnie was right, you didn't know what you would've found inside the palace.

"alright, the all you can beat buffet." but raph couldn't care less about that and he made his sai roll in his hands to make his point clear, he was ready to attack.

luckily leo stopped him before he could do anything reckless "we can't just rush in there, we need a plan"

"he's right" you confirmed, your arms crossed on your chest as you nodded firmly.

"why?" questioned raphael, his eyes jumping between you and his brother.

"think shell brain! there are innocent lives at stakes and if we screw this up they're all goners." chimed in donatello, graying to make his brother realize that violence won't take them anywhere.

"then we won't screw it up" talked back raphael.

"boy i can sure go for some pizza right now uh?"

the sound of mickey voice so near to you made you stops from saying anything else, your eyes blank as your head slowly turned around.

the brothers were watching him incredulous but it wasn't enough to make him catch the massage as he kept talking about his stomach.

"what? i can't be the only one that's hungry"

the brothers blinked without answering him, your face held a death stare as you looked down at michelangelo.

"where is snake?" asked leonardo as he looked around the roof.

mickey glanced behind him, hoping that the man was gonna be there.

"oh geez" was the only thing he said as he noticed the human's absence and the expressions on you four faces.

you observed the man running away and you returned your focus eyes on the guilty terrapin as you talked to him, your thump and pointing finger almost touching as you scolded him.

"i'm this close to hurt you mickey i swear!"

"get him!" shouted leonardo.

you followed snake down the stairs but he was faster than you had anticipated, you all went in different directions leaving you to follow him alone.

you watched as he turned into a dark alley, and even thought it wasn't the greatest idea — knowing what happens on the street late at night — you were ready to follow him inside.

you walked slow to not make any noise, using the wall to cover your shadow.

just when you were about to let him see you a strong hand caught your forearm.

"the hell raph, you scared m-" you confessed, confused about his actions.

he covered your mouth with his hand, officially silencing you.

he pointed to the alley with his eyes, and only then you noticed your leader behind him.

"oh great we let him get away" the leader said using a louder tone than normal as raph let go of you.

"woah woah, you're the leader that means you let him get away" continued raphael copying his tone.

at what he said leo lowered his voice making it possible to hear just for the three of you, a small frown on his face.

"you're not helping" he commented annoyed.

"i'm not trying to help" explained the hothead.

you elbowed raph in his stomach as they continued with their plan.

"ouch" he groaned.

"okay okay, you want me to lead? fine" started leonardo "we go back to the lair, heal up, and then at midnight we drive snake's van right up to the gate, they'll think we're him and we'll go right in" he shouted making sure snake could heard him this time.

"and then we bust some heads?" questioned raph with a smirk.

"and then we bust some heads." the blue eyed brother copied the other terrapin's smile.

"i love an happy ending" finished raphael as you three walked away.

you took the same path as before and you finally met with the others.

"you got him?" asked donnie a little worried.

"kinda, our leader here came up with a plan we'll explain later" you pointed behind you to leonardo and michelangelo smiled happily.

"we're so good at this" he sing songed as he hugged you from the side.

"sure mickey,sure" you confirmed patting his head.

you smiled as leo and raph decided to explain what happened , you could see that they were all determined to save those people even if they didn't know them, and it made you feel very proud of them.

you were so lost in your thoughts that you didn't notice that you had arrived back at the manhole.

"ladies first" mickey repeated your words, mocking you and it made you look at him with a smirk.

"then you should go" as you finished your phrase you pushed him down the sewers.

"ouch" echoed his pained groan from under the street.

everyone's snickered and you jumped after your victim, followed by his brothers.

"come on terrapins we finally have a plan" you motioned for them to follow you with your hand and that's what they did, following the tunnels to take you back home.

when you arrived back to the lair you saw your sensei waiting for you and you all called his name as you ran down the stairs.

he did a little check on all of you, assuring your health as you took turns to explain the situation and your plan to save the family.

you were mostly silent and he took notice of this but he didn't say anything, until the boys went to do their things to prepare for later, and you decided to remain with him.

"did something happen, my child?" he questioned, and you could hear the hint of worry in his voice.

"beside everything? no not much" you both smiled but he saw right through you and he knew there was something more.

"sensei could i ask you something?" your eyes looked around his face, deciding what to say next.

he hummed in response, waiting for you to talk.

it took you a second to answer, thinking about the right thing to say "could you talk with leo? he seemed a little weird on the way back and i'm worried he's gonna blame everything on himself"

"sure [name], i'm gonna check on him right now... if you've finished?" he trailed off.

he looked at you with a raised eyebrow, he knew that deep down there was something more.

"just- when we were fighting i- uh-" your eyes moved to the ground "i actually got more hit on me then on the criminals and i was wondering if i could start again the training with the boys? i promise i'm gonna be carefull and if i'm not you can make me stop-"

"yes" he confirmed, nodding along his word.

"what? really?" you questioned incredulous.

"yes [name], it's time you start with your old training if you want to have good result against those criminals" the worry came back in his tone but you pretended to not here it, he wanted to be strong for you.

you hugged him and, even if after some seconds, he quickly hugged back holding you real tight.

"thank you sensei, i promise i'm gonna be good" you promised smilingly.

"i know [name], i know" he told you softly, gently patting your head.

you left his arms before you got up.

"i'm gonna see the others, thank you again sensei" he noticed your excitement and the way you couldn't stay still and he waved you off with an hand.

a smile was evident on his face as he watched you ran to the others and a flash appeared before his eyes.

"hamato my man how are you?" your dad greeted him with an hug before sitting together in a restaurant.

"everything's good mark, thank you. so, what did you want to talk about? you seemed really serious on the phone" splinter's human self showed worry on his face as he looked into the eyes of his friend

"it's about [name], my wife, she's- she's pregnant" confessed your dad glancing around.

"really? that's amazing!" splinter's face broke into a smile at the news making him forget about the worries of moments before.

"i know,i know but it's not everything. it's some days that i'm feeling watched and, i'm afraid that it's not just a feeling." explained your father lowering his voice.

"what are you talking about?" asked splinter, it's tone now scared and confused.

"it's not important, just promise me that whatever happens you're gonna take care of the child" mark, your dad, took splinter's hands in his as he finished explaining his request.

the man in front of him looked into his eyes "i promise."

he huffed as he reconnected with reality.

he had made a promise and he was going to keep it — but for now he had to go check in his son and his existential crisis.

he gave you a last knowing glance before turning towards the dojo.

you were too deep in your conversation with donnie to notice your sensei's glances.

you set on his table near his working hands as he listened to you explaining the news.

"so now you can train with us?" he looked up at you for a moment, his hands still moving almost as if they had a mind of their own.

"yep!" you answered happily swinging your leg.

"and you're sure is not gonna be like the last time?" this time he tried to not look into your eyes, he noticed your excitement and he didn't want to ruin it with his doubts.

"i hope so, i'm older now and i have people's lives in my hands, i don't have time to cry in my sleep." you tried to joke.

you realized that you had failed when you met the turtle's serious expression.

"if you say so" he commented looking down again.

you know he wanted to sound comforting but his tone made you realize the thoughts that were running into his smart brain.

"i swear donnie everything is gonna be fine, and if it doesn't i gave you full permission to punch me in the face" you chuckled, trying to make him feel your security.

"promise?" he questioned, his hands finally still.

"promise" you said sticking out your pinky.

you watched his large finger rolling around yours and you held tight as you signed your promise.

it was enough to let him relax — for now — and you decided to let him work in peace, opting to go find someone else to annoy.

"now i'll let you work" you gently patted his head before leaving his lab.

"bye [name]!" he shouted before you could close the doors.

you went to the kitchen expecting to find at least one of the brothers — betting more on mickey and his never-full stomach — but as you heard raph screams in the background you understood that it was only you, well you and spike.

you took a glass of water before you took the spot on the chair in front of him.

"hi spike" you talked low "did red talk to you already?"

you leaned your head on your forearms as you let the question sink, in the meantime he just kept on eating his lettuce not sparing you a glance.

"of course he did, he has a soft spot for you, you know? really cute if you ask me" you giggled as you patted his head.

suddenly your expression changed, a frown begin to form in your face and in that moment spike looked up at you, almost as if he knew.

"i'm gonna start train with them again but i don't know if i'm strong enough like i keep on telling myself" you told him as you shared a long stare.

you took a deep breath trying to calm yourself hoping for an answer that didn't come.

"not that i have that much of a choice, i have a feeling that this isn't gonna be the last mission on the surface, with the mutagen and everything there's something much more than us, i know."

as he kept his head raise, looking at you, for a second you taught he was going to open his mouth and talk — obviusly nothing like that happened and a sigh left your mouth.

"well, it was a good talk thank you spike. i'm gonna prepare for the mission, see you later" you waved at him as you got up, a cheerful expression back on your face.

you watched as the van exploded in front of the entrance and you took it as your sign to start the second phase of the rescue: infiltrate

after explaining to mickey the plan for what seemed the fifth time you arrived on the other side of the wall thanks to donnie little invention.

you infiltrated in the vent and after some minutes in that uncomfortably small place, you arrived inside the building.

you watched from inside the tubes some robots walking by and you had to keep the urge to point them to the boys, as five 'men' walked after them you finally jumped down and after some punches they were all down.

"good job guys" you commented.

after that you kept walking as you ignored the talk between donnie and raph.

their voices became to be a little to high and you were thankful for leonardo that stopped them "what part of being on the enemy's lair you don't understand"

it took you some more steps before you arrived to a room completely full with robots — you had never been more proud of mickey than in that moment.

you put your left hand open — only with three fingers — towards the orange masked turtle and he quickly slapped it with his.

"woah, alien robots!"

"alien robots uh? were did i heard that before? oh yeah, i've been saying it for hours" angrily replayed michelangelo.

sadly he didn't realise how high his voice actually was and that caused you all to get caught; those aliens took out their blaster to start shooting at you and you decided that you had no choice other than to attack.

you tried to run behind the turtles since your human skin made you more exposed but at one point you all took a robot to put down.

the one you were fighting tried to shoot at you but you dodged every bullet and, when you arrived near enough, you cut his gun right in the middle with your sword.

seeing that he was now disarmed he tried fighting back in a hand to hand combat but ,after some kick, he went down making it clear that except for their weapon they were completely armless.

after some more robots you won the first fight.

then, when one of them went down, a brain came out of his chest, it had a face and some weird leg and it made you all let out high pitched screams.

it was about to jump and attack one of you but mickey hit it in the upper part making it lose his senses.

"see,see? it's a brain thing, i told you, i told you, but did any of you believed me? no!" angrily made them remember michelangelo, proving to his brothers that they should've listened him.

you coughed in your fist at the end of his sentence and mickey got the massage.

"except for you [name], cause except for HER you all think i'm just kind of bone head!" he shouted with a hint of sadness in his tone.

the next seconds were a blur.

everything happened incredibly fast, the brain regained his senses angrily biting mickey on the arm — who then tried to get rid of it by shaking his arm, he succeeded but the brain was thrown across the room hitting the alarm button.

that was when everything went down.

"MICKEY!" you all called his name scolding him.

"okay, but i was still right about the brain thing, you gotta give me that!" he replied trying to cover the trace of the failed mission.

"let's move" ordered leo.

"move where?" questioned his brother.

"maybe away from here, uh red?" you teased following leonardo.

"i think those are power conduits" informed you donatello looking up towards the tubes.

"oh that's really interesting, thanks for sharing donnie" replied sarcastically raphael.

"meaning the conduits are all converting that way, meaning that whatever's going on in that direction is important!" donatello shouted back angrily at the other terrapin.

leo tilted his head in donnie direction, a smug smile on his face as he pointed with his katana towards the direction of the conduits before following after his smart brother.

your feet went the same way as you ignored the sound of raph hitting mickey behind you.

you ran trough different rooms and corridors until you finally arrived in front of a prison room.

donnie looked inside the little window, meeting the eyes of the red headed girl, her father crouched down in the corner.

"we found them" he celebrated.

"well now let's free them" you quickly added, frenetically looking around.

just as those words escaped your mouth, bullets flew trough the air missing you only for mere centimeters.

"we hold them up, you take them out" leo hadn't even finished talking that you were all already jumping towards the aliens.

you were hitting everything that was in your personal space without thinking twice.

you were confused — and a little scared — but you knew you had to get those people out and the only way was hitting those alien-robots without mercy.

you kept on fighting but time was passing and donnie was still taking his time, even after leo had talked to him.

as you cut one of the robots in half you threw one of your knifes near his head, getting his attention.

"ehy!" he turned around, glaring at you.

more robots came at you but you continued your small chat with donnie as your sword cut through all of them.

"donnie i swear if you don't hurry up" you screamed as more shooting could be heard.

"why's everyone telling me that?" he asked you sounding a little too annoyed for your liking.

you stopped in your tracks, standing still as you looked at him right into his eyes, your arms open trying to show him the situation you were in.

he kept on looking at you and you groaned "i'm not answering that" you said as your sword flew up cutting an alien head, your eyes still on him.

raph saw you and donnie talking and he decided that he had enough, his brother was taking too long.

he walked towards donatello and he shoved him to the side.

"oh for the love of- get out of my way"

he took his sai before he started smashing things — like always.

you weren't actually watching as you kicked the last of your robots; when you turned around you saw the open cell and you took it as you clue, following the boys inside.

just as you were about leave with the two humans.

the cell opened from the other said and more robots appeared kidnapping the girl and her father, again.

you ran away from the cell, the robots were too much and your goal was to save the humans not get into an alien fight.

you arrived at the exit door but the robot were still behind you.

"get the door" ordered leonardo.

and with those words raph took the doors closing it with all his force.

but the upper half of a robot was in between, trying to reach trough.

raphael gripped the alien's arm and you cut it with your sword before you both pushed against the metal doors.

when you succeeded he used the arm to block it form opening again.

"that will hold them" he commented.

you gave each other a smirk and a low high three as you looked at your amazing plan holding strongly.

you both moved your eyes to the other turtles who where looking at you with wide open eyes.

"what?" he asked.

"you are seriously twisted" confessed leo looking at the two of you.

"thanks" you replayed together.

just after that a scream echoed in the building, you looked up and you saw two robots, each holding a human.

they were kidnapping them for the third time —unbelievable.

"let's get them" shouted leo and you ran following them.

"geez thanks blue here i thought we were gonna let them go away" you teased as you kept on looking in front of you.

"oh shut up" he rolled his eyes making you smirk.

untilo a weird human plant dropped in front of you, forcing you to stop in your track.

it was terrifying and mickey was the only one to spoke letting out a small "oh oh"

"you did this to me and now you're going to pay" roared at you the human plant.

"it's snake, he mutated into a giant weed!"

you saw it now, the resemblance, it was really him.

as michelangelo went trough your same train of thoughts he quickly came up to only one conclusion "it's weird you think he'd get mutated into a snake" he commented making you nod in agreement.

"true" you replied giving only one small glance at the mutant in front of you.

"yeah you would," started raphael "if you were an idiot!" you faked offense at his last sentence.

"his point is totally valid" you were quick to say back,looking at him sure of yourself.

"why?" he questioned making you look at him like the answer was obvious — which it was — "cause i say so?"

"cause his name is snake!" talked after you michelangelo.

"so?" asked raph.

"you don't understand science" rolled his eyes mickey.

"ehm guys, you should see that" you called them, your hands pointing at the angry mutant.

"i'll crush you turtles!" he growled as he moved his foot up ready to do just as he had told.

"what happens if we say it was an accident?"

almost as if he was answering donnie question snake — or human plant thing if you want to listen to michelangelo — looked down at the dove of you as he closed his claws.

"i don't think he cares" you murmured gripping tightly you sword, and hoping that doing that would give you the courage to fight that thing.

"so i'll put you down for a no?" added donatello, his voice shaking as he looked into the creature's eyes.

snake started to attack you, wrapping one of his green tentacles around you.

all of the brothers had their own 'arm' to worry about, leaving you crying in pain as you tried to squish out of its strong hold.

when you understood that squirming was pointless you tried to get one of your knife from your side, you reached to it using it to cut trough the tentacle.

he let go of you making fell down on your knees, an hand on the ground and the other up.

"super hero's landing" you murmured as you tilted your head up.

sadly your small smirk of victory was quickly wiped off as you watched his arm regrew back.

"WHAT?" you shouted annoyed — and a little jealous.

"it can regrew back? no fair!" complained donatello from your left.

the sound of an helicopter could be heard in the air and it caught your attention, you met eyes with the red head as two robots pushed her towards the vehicle.

"donnie, GO!" ordered leonardo.

donatello jumped on leonardo's hands and the leader pushed his brother up.

you kept fighting snake, trying to not get killed, the plan was to old him off until donatello could get back.

all that time fighting made mickey think of a new name 'snakeweed' which you liked more, but before you could compliment him more kraangs arrived.

between trying to not get hit by any bullets and fighting a mutant your adrenaline was the only thing keeping you up enough to fight back.

until you were all trowed back against each other, you took those seconds of stillness to let your body catch up.

"i don't know how much more i can hold guys" you confessed a little breathless.

"what's the plan again chief?" asked raphael his eyes moving from you to his leader.

"i'm working on it-" leo flew away screaming as snakeweed had wrapped one of his tentacles around his leg.

leo paid no mind to it as continued his talked.

"the power conduit" shouted leo from his spot upside down.

"you're really gonna start talking about that again?" angrily replied raphael, not understanding his brother's words.

"wait i think he's right" you shushed raphael with a movement of your hand.

"raph,mickey,[name]" your leader signed at you with his hand and you nodded back letting him now that you were with him.

you and leo ran behind snake, he trew his ninja's star at him making him turn around, you weren't surprised to see that he was clearly angry.

and as leonardo kept the attention of all the enemies on him you turned your sword around, with all your force you stabbed the side of the generator making it break.

you ran away as the krang finished the work by shooting at it, causing snakeweed to explode.

you and leo were near the explosion and as you tried your best to run away from it you felt something fall on you, dragging you to the ground.

you opened your eyes, meeting a pair of emerald ones.

raph was on top of you doing as a shield between you and the generator, he looked at you as he groaned in pain from the fall.

"stupid" you murmured to him before you both started to get up.

"ya know, a thanks would be nice" he teased as he motioned for you to take his hand.

you slapped it away as you got up on your own "keep dreaming red" you replayed, a bitter tone that didn't go unnoticed to him.

as you finished your talks none of you had realized that the other three had witnessed everything.

but the time to think was little as in that moment, all you had to do was run away.

you jumped on the back of a van, donatello took the driving spot and the girl decided to sit on the passenger seat as you four set behind them on the floor.

when you were sure that you were away from the danger you all let yourself relax and suddenly the silence became a really awkward one.

you hated it and you decided to break the ice with the new girl by introducing yourselves, she turned around in her seat to take your hand as she replayed to you with her name.

"well nice to meet you april, are you okay? did they hurt you?" you questioned with a really soft voice.

"no no i'm fine, just worried about my dad i guess." she explained, the sadness more then evident in her eyes.

you didn't really now what to answer to that, you weren't the best with words.

you elbowed leo in the side to make him talk, begging him to end the tension.

"well as you can see we're mutant turtles but, we're also teenagers... and my name is leonardo" he explained his own hand coming up to wrap around the red headed one

"we also know ninjitsu so you could say that we're ninjas, i'm mickey" followed his brother.

"i'm raphael" murmured the hothead.

"woah, real sweet red, talk a little less next time will you?" you commented annoyed by his attitude, a roll of your eyes added at the end of your sentence.

he groaned throwing his head behind "stop being mad at me just cause i saved ya"

you crossed your arms on your chest looking on the other direction "it's not a saving if you die"

his head whipped in your direction "i-"

"children,children, stop!" talked over him donatello from the front seat, efficiently making the both of you shut up "you are going to scream at each other later alright?" he looked at you from the rearview mirror.

you huffed at that and the tension rises up again, this time it was april turn to put a stop to it.

"so, you guys are teenage mutant ninja turtles right?" she questioned making them all hum in response.

"but what are you?" she added looking right into your eyes.

"i'm just a human, i was just lucky enough to get to grow up with them" you tried to sound sarcastic and hide your smile but you they all saw trough the little facade.

"how did you do it?" she asked you then, and you were happy to see that the sadness had been momentarily replaced by curiosity.

"what?" you tilted your head a little confused.

"i mean, four boys, that's a lot of testosterone" she chuckled and you nodded along her words.

"yeah trust me sometimes i'm really happy that i get to pick them during training." she laughed at that — and at the brothers reactions.

"ehy"

"that's not true"

"you love us"

"he's right!"

"but they're my boys you know, you hate them and you love them" you finished and they all awed.

making jumped at you to strongly hug your neck making you cough and beg for air.

as they kept on chatting one with the others raph looked over at you, and as he repeated the scene of your saving for the thousandth time he finally came to a conclusion.

as he pushed a weight away from his heart he hugged your from behind, leaning his head on your shoulder as he talked in your ear.

"i'm sorry for before" he whispered.

"you don't have to say it just becau-" you were quick to say as you tried to free yourself from his arms.

"no i get it, i was just worrying about you like you worry about me- uh- i mean- us" he gulped at the end and you smiled as you realized how much he had been thinking about it just so he could really say sorry to you.

"yeah, but...thank you for saving me" you answered him making him smirk.

you laid a kiss on his cheek before moving your body so that your back was pressed against his plastron.

"how long have you been dating?" the words that left april's mouth made all eyes fell on you two cuddling.

and it took some seconds for any of your brains to register the question.

"what? no, we aren't dating"

"he's my bestfriend we are not dating" your voice overlapped raphael's as you both tried to explain yourselves.

"oh, sorry" she excused a little embarrassed.

"it's okay april they act like a couple more then half of the time" talked leonardo with a small smile

"what? that's not true!" you complained, still not moving from your spot between his arms.

"it is" another voice added

"shut it mickey" growled raphael

you ended up talking one over the other, almost not understanding what the others were saying.

if you hadn't been so into the argument you would've realized the show that you had been putting up for april, but you didn't.

because other then focusing on what you were saying you started to really think bout you and raphael.

did you really acted like a couple? there was no way,right? no no no. you were best friends, best. friends.

and unknown to you raphael's mind was going trough the same process.

when you all finally let go of the subject, you decided to hope for some music.

both your and raph's mind stopped thinking about that 'no sense' as you relaxed trying to gain some of the energy back.

now that the adrenaline had went down only the tiredness remained and every single one of you had try its best to not fall asleep.

the ride was faster then what you had thought and after leaving the van on the side of a small road you arrived to april's house jumping from roof to roof.

you watched her go to the door and get greeted by her aunt, she looked really happy and surprised to see here before they hugged real tight.

you waited for april on the roof, it took some minutes but then she opened the window letting you know it was okay to come down.

you chatted about the situation but when you realized it was still a open wound for her — a really big one — you decided to ask her just some questions about her aunt and her well being.

"are you gonna be alright?" questioned donatello.

"i guess, my aunt said i can stay here as long as i want. but i'll be a lot better when i'll track down the creeps that took my dad" she answered, and you could see in her eyes that she was determinant to find him.

"won't the police help?" asked leo, a little confused.

"funny thing, when you tell them your dad was kidnapped by alien brains and robot bodies they don't take you all that serious" she chuckled back an answer.

"i heard that" told her michelangelo.

"april, i promise you we will not rest until we find him" donatello's words made you tilt your head.

"we won't?" raphael's words escaped him mouth before he could think about them.

"i guess" you dragged the word as you looked around.

leo gave a slap behind both your heads as you both realized your mistake.

"no,we won't" you talked together.

"thank you, but it's not your fight" she said looking down m.

"oh girl you would be surprised" you replayed under your breath.

"yes it is" told her donatello, you watched as he put his hand in her leg, at the contact she tilted her head back up making eye contact, a blush evident on their faces.

"cutie" you exclaimed.

you all said your goodbyes before jumping back on the roof, you had to ran back home.

"did you see the way she looked at me?"

"for the third time donnie, we were there!" you shouted back exasperated.

when you walked back into the lair you were the first to meet you sensei eyes and you immediately pointed to leo with a tilt of your head.

master splinter smiled at you and proceeding to gave all of you compliment after you had explained the whole situation, making him smile proudly.

when he finally took leonardo to the side to have a chat you decided to lay on the sofa to relax, mickey didn't waste any seconds on turning on the tv.

you didn't really listened to it using it more as background noises, until some words about ninjas reached your ears, you set up looking at the screen.

"big brother come here, we're on the news!" he screamed making you grimace at his high pitched voice.

you were so focused on the news that you tuned out the others, the man talked about ninjas in new york, he showed leo's ninja star and it made you remain open mouthed as it ended.

"oh my, that's not good" you murmured loud enough for everyone to ear.

"what are you talking about this is awesome, we're gonna be famous" mickey turned around laughing in your face.

"[name] is right, this is indeed bad; you must be more careful, ninja's more powerful weapon is the shadow being brought out in the light is a dangerous thing" talked your sensei.

"relax sensei it's one little news story what's the worst that can happen? come on [name] it's okay." tried to lighten the thing raphael.

"yeah, you're probably right." you sighed relaxing back against the sofa.

still, as you said those words, you had a feeling in your stomach that was telling you the exact opposite.

and you didn't know if you were ready for what was about to come.

reader and april are gonna have to know each other a little bit before they start causing drama so for now the reader just doubt of april innocents.
raph and reader are already starting to have some doubts about their relationship but i'm not gonna rush things so keep reading.
every interaction with any of the other brothers is strictly platonic and it's cause i wanna show how their dynamic with the reader works.
