"I'M THE GODDESS OF LIFE, SO DOES THAT MEAN THERE'S A GODDESS OF DEATH AS WELL?"
Odin snapped his head up at the question.
"Well," he sighed. "You're the Goddess of Beauty as well, but that doesn't there's a Goddess of...Ugliness, is there?"
"I wouldn't know," Audelia shrugged, produced another vine from her hands. It didn't go any farther than about four inches before it burst into dust.
The princess yanked at her hair while groaning in frustration, "Why can't I do more?"
"You're not focusing, dear child," Odin spoke gently. "As soon as you lose focus, you lose the control."
Audelia let out a breath through her nose before curling her fingers, beckoning the life to shoot out of the pads of the joints.
Slowly, a vine grew from the pads of the fingers, growing towards her father before she decided the stop.
"I did it!"
Odin let out a chuckle at her enthusiasm before announcing they had enough practice for the day. Audelia had huffed when he ruffled her hair before she ran out the doors and into the gardens.
Being thirteen, Audelia's body slowly started to mature. Her cheekbones were more prominent, and her chest had become slightly more pronounced, and her hips had widened vaguely. Her lips had become more plump, and she had bled for the first time a few weeks ago.
It had been fairly uncomfortable and odd, but considering she had to deal with it every month, she knew she'd slowly get used to it.
She had mostly spent her days in her room, reading a book or having hour long baths.
Those had been satisfying.
"I always wonder what's going on in that head of yours,"
Audelia snapped her head up to meet the mischievous eyes of Loki.
"What are you gonna do?"
He grinned and pulled her beside him before going forward with his plan, "Lady Sif loves her hair."
"Hmm,"
"We're going to cut it,"
"Correction: you're gonna cut it," Audelia cut in. "I'm going to go arrange our funeral."
"Oh no, you're going to help me," Loki wrapped his arm around her. "She trusts you a lot more than me."
"I know I'm going to regret this,"
"It'll be fun,"
"Yeah, fun,"

"GETTING KILLED BY SIF IS YOUR DEFINITION OF FUN?"
Loki and Audelia had woken up the next day by hearing the sweet, mellifluous voice of Lady Sif.
She was yelling at them.
Loudly.
Very loudly.
"Well, not exactly," Loki grimaced.
"Why do I always get dragged into your pranks?"
"Oh, you love them," Loki flicked her forehead. "You come up with half of them."
"Only because I have a wild imagination," she reprimanded.
"And because you like it," he shot back. When she didn't answer, he started ticking her stomach until she was laughing like a bloody maniac.
"Alright, alright!" she panted leaning against him. "I do enjoy pranking people with you. It's our...thing."

"THIS IS FUN. BETTER THAN TRYING TO CONTROL MY POWERS."
"You only say that because you can control this," Frigga spoke, watching the many copies of Audelia around her.
"Not really," Audelia shrugged. "Can you find me—"
The princess cut herself off when she felt something wet around her thighs. She ran to her room before standing in front of the mirror and picking up the many layers of her dress. When she could finally see her bloomers, a red stain was visible in the sunshine.
She groaned and let go of her dress, dramatically falling on the floor, "No!"
"What's wrong, child?" Frigga asked, kneeling down and laying Audelia's head in her lap.
"Pretty sure I just had my period," Audelia pouted, wrapping her arm around her mother's torso.
"That's it?" Frigga asked. When Audelia nodded, a laugh escaped the Queen's lips. "Your antics made me think you were dying."
"Gods, no," Audelia wrinkled her nose, smiling when Frigga stroked her hair back. "I'm not going to die that quick."
"Good."

"WHATEVER IT WAS, I DIDN'T DO IT!"
Audelia was called to Odin and Frigga's chambers the first thing that morning. She only had enough time to freshen up and brush her teeth before she had to go to her parents, the guards insisting they were told that it was urgent.
As Audelia looked at her mother's plain face, she knew this was actually serious, and that her jokes were to be pushed aside for a few moments.
"Audelia, dear," Odin sighed, urging her to sit in front of him and the Queen. "We have something to tell you."
"Obviously," Audelia chuckled, trying to lighten the serious atmosphere.
"Audelia."
"Sorry," she apologized softly, pushing her hair over her shoulder.
"Audelia, my child, when you were born...when you were born, there was an attack on our planet," Frigga began. "It ended right an hour before you were born. Your father, Heimdall, and many more fought, and as many were killed as were lost. Before the attack was over, their leader decided to use something powerful."
Frigga paused, looking at Audelia as if to ask she was still paying attention. This time, Odin spoke:
"The Infinity Stones. He tried to use them. He did use them," he sighed. "Nothing much happened other than the fact he killed himself, some of our soldiers and a handful of his. The power of all of the stones proved to be too much for him."
"Before you were born, I was hit with the Stones' power," Frigga cut in. "Everyone who was hit by the waves of the Stones' power, died— except me. Something happened that day— whether it was a blessing, or a miracle, we don't know. But I survived when thousands others didn't."
"Why are you telling me this?" Audelia questioned softly.
"Audelia," Odin spoke. "You can control the Infinity Stones."
"What?"
"You can feel them, control them," Frigga answered. "Every time someone uses an Infinity Stone—in our timeline—you can feel it."
Pause.
"The power of the Stones is too much," Odin said. "You can't control them unless you've had immense focus and concentration."
"That's why you push me so hard," Audelia realized. "You want me to be enough to control the Stones."
"No," Frigga denied immediately. "You will not control the Stones."
"But—"
"It will kill you!" Frigga exclaimed. "I can't bear to lose...not after..."
"Then why'd you tell me this?" Audelia questioned. "All of this?"
"We wanted to be the ones to tell you," Odin spoke. "Not anyone else."
"So the whole of Asgard knows?"
"Yes. Other than the children your age, or your brothers, most of Asgard is aware of this."
"Audelia," Frigga spoke softly, stroking Audelia's cheek. "Promise me you won't try to control the Stones— at least not until you've got your own power in check."
The princess glanced at her father before looking back at her mother.
"I promise."
