Both Reyansh and I reached the dining room and had the snacks and not to forget my coffee. The house wasn't bustling with workers here and there. It was indeed too quiet to be called a marriage home. The family members had arrived with Ivaan and Kavya who were currently resting in their rooms. I had met their parents and they were welcoming and warm. I missed my parents! God! I need to book tickets and meet them asap before mom reaches here and murders me for my prolonged absence.

After our little snack time, I excused myself as I had to meet my team who had reached the place about an hour ago. They had settled themselves in the guest house and we too had our discussion room there. I had already called them all at 6 so we could work out the plan.
“So, we have four days before the first function. We have Sangeet followed by mehendi and then Haldi. Last would of course be the grand wedding and we have one day gap in between all functions except wedding, where we have a day extra to get things right. Got it ?” Keeping your employees updated about everything is really important for me, they are the ones who make me and the company successful.

“Yes ma'am” I heard the answer in chorus.

“Good! So let's get started with the basics first. Sangeet has a couple of things to add spice. First is the theme, starry nights, this is for the decor. Any suggestions?” I asked my crew.

“Ma'am how about keeping an open stage instead of the decked up one's ?”

“Also, we can use fairy lights keeping in mind the theme,”

“Colour coordination is also important”

“Okay, okay. Fairy lights are a good idea but cannot be used just like strings. Wrap it around the thread balls and keeping it meshed up would work. Coming to the open stage, I am impressed. Black and white checkered dance floor. I want it ready. Colour coordination is not a big deal. The lights would go perfectly with any colour.” I gave my suggestions.

Next couple of hours was filled with discussion about the decoration and the dresses. My team was like my extended family, they made me who I am today so fun banter and teasing was a part of all our group discussion. It makes the environment lively and light, especially when we have lots to do and discuss.

Kavya had planned a surprise dance or flash mob thing for Ivaan and we had to fit everything in proper sequence, right from the couples entry to the dj. The back lawn was going to be used for all the functions and it was a place where we could experiment with all the decor as it was quite spacious. So each event is going to have a different theme.

“Okay then, I want everyone to start with the minor things from tomorrow. Neha, you are incharge of the dresses and keep me updated throughout, not a single mistake in that department! Also, pre book the mehendi artist. Decoration team would be here a day prior but we need to coordinate with them regarding all the flowers, lights and everything we need. I will be in touch with you Neha for the dresses, don't make a mistake there. Rest all things, we are doing it together, so let's start from tomorrow and end it perfectly like we always do,” I ended my mini speech which basically had all the instructions.

We had our dinner together in the guest house as none of us wanted to intrude on the family dinner. Kavya did request us to join them but we preferred to have it together like we always do at events. Everyone in the team was close including me. Employees played a major role in helping me make my name in the industry and in no way I would disrespect them or be arrogant. Of course when needed I was the hitler boss, but that's only when needed.

“Okay guys, I will leave. Tomorrow our work begins. Goodnight,” I wished and walked out of the small villa where all my employees were allocated their guest rooms.

The weather outside was calm but at the same time, it was breezy. I would have definitely taken a stroll if I had some shawl or jacket to provide warmth from the wind. I wish I could just sit with some hot chocolate and enjoy the weather. I sighed.

“Boo-” someone shouted from behind and scared the shit out of me, making me scream in return,“Ahh-”

“Girl! Shut up we don't need to wake everyone up,” a hand covered my mouth muffling my scream. I turned around wanting to kick that person, “Reyansh! Are you insane, you scared me!” I exclaimed.

“Tumhe darr bhi lagta hai !?”

“If a psycho person decides to shout and then cover my mouth, then yes I do get scared, Mr.Reyansh Oberoi.” I sarcastically replied.

“Okay okay, my bad! I just thought it was fun, sorry,” he apologized, “But I just wanted company over coffee and saw you walking so decided to ask,” he said, rubbing the nape of his neck looking embarrassed and -umm- cute.

“You could've asked as a civilized person too!” I again exclaimed.

“Okay fine! Now come on,” he took my hand and dragged me to God knows where. We got inside the house and climbed the staircase which eventually led to the terrace.

Soothing. That's exactly how I felt once we were sitting on the roof. Yes roof! Reyansh likes adventures I guess and made me do this thing too. Not that I am complaining since it was worth it. The breeze hit our faces, making my hair fly in every direction possible and to top it all, hot coffee that was provided to me. Don't ask me how it landed there cause I myself have no idea.

“So how's the planning going on?” he asked.

“We don't have much time, so we are trying to work out things and find the best people available. But usually wedding planning takes a month or even more and here we only have a week, so it's difficult,” words came out of my mouth. He nodded his head and we both looked at the serene view in front of us.

“What are you doing this late?” I questioned him. I mean it was almost eleven o'clock and not everyone is a night owl like me.

“Oh I was just having my coffee when I saw you and thought having a company wouldn't be that bad,” he cheekily replied.

“Oh ohkay,” I replied, quite unsure myself about why I was sitting here with him.

“Ivaan and I used to come here a lot in our teenage years and would just sit here talking about anything and everything but now that he is getting married he has different responsibilities so I didn't want to disturb him and also you aren't a bad company,” he elaborated his answer a little seeing my confused face.

“Are you jealous that he's getting married?” I asked, trying to control my laughter. He looked at me with a ‘are you serious’ face and shook his head.

“No, never !! They both are my friends, it's just that Ivaan has been there since childhood and I would never even think about this,” he said.

“Both?”

“Yes. We three were in college together and it was love at first sight for both of them but they didn't confess it until our graduation. Slow people you know, always labeling themselves as best friends and nothing more,” how cute! I almost awed at the story but stopped before I would embarrass myself.

“What about your friends? Any boyfriends?” he asked.

“I have my small group of friends but all of them are in Delhi while I am here in Mumbai. I have my team here to have fun whenever needed. And boyfriends !? No. My dad wouldn't allow it as he's protective of both of us. And a little more about me as I am the younger one,” we both laughed at my explanation. We sat there for the next three hours talking about whatever we could,it was smooth and effortless. This was my first time opening up in front of someone other than family and that person was none other than Reyansh Oberoi. He was breaking my walls and I had no idea how.
