Summary: Dumbledore goes forward in time and learns what would happen to Lily, James, Harry, Marlene, The Longbottoms and Sirius. Brace yourself for a long one-shot. If they lived AU.

It was on the 1st of September 1971 that two soulmates met.

Their eyes locked and they knew: This is the one. Unfortunately, Lily Evans disliked James Potter. She disliked everything about him, from his stupid messy hair to his inflated ego. And he loved everything about her, from her emerald eyes to her fiery nature.

Throughout first year, they were snapping at each other. James hated that she hung out with that Slytherin, dark-arts obsessed git called Snape. She hated that he felt that about her best friend. It was not like Lily didn't have other friends. She had Marlene McKinnon, Alice Prewett, Emmeline Vance, Dorcas Meadowes and Mary MacDonald. But she gave time to Snape too.

James, on the other hand, was breaking havoc in the castle. His partners in crime were Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew. Girls were naturally attracted to him. He was the most handsome bloke at Hogwarts after all. Sadly for them, he asked Lily out fifty times a day.

Second year arrived. James and Sirius found out about Remus' furry little problem but they supported him. James still liked Lily. The summer before third year, the boys were in The Potter Manor. They were playing truth and dare.

That was how they found out about Sirius' sorry excuse for parents. But his friends supported him. The same year James admitted that he loved Lily. Frank Longbottom and Alice got together.

Fourth year came and James came up with a 'brilliant' plan. He thought that he, Sirius and Peter could become animagi to help Remus. Their friend was horrified but the other three Marauders convinced him that nothing could go wrong.

Lily started noticing the way Snape started hanging out with his fellow Slytherins. She had heard him calling Zara Williams, a second-year muggle-born Ravenclaw, a 'Mudblood.'

He had been obsessed with dark arts before, but now, it was way too much. He lied to Slughorn that he wanted some knowledge about Potions and made him sign a slip so Snape could enter the restricted section.

He spent hours there. He had an insane joy on his face as he stared at the dark arts books. He smiled like a maniac while reading those and it spooked Lily.

He picked more fights, calling the nice pure-bloods--more like James, Sirius, Marlene, Frank and Dorcas--'blood traitors.'

Lily had given him a warning that if this behaviour continued, their friendship would not last long. He pretended to be nice in front of her but when she wasn't looking...he was a nightmare.

Fifth year arrived. Snape started behaving weirder and weirder. James, Sirius and Peter finally became Animagi. They learned The Patronus Charm that year. Remus told Lily about his 'furry little problem' so she could cover up for him. He was afraid she'd run away, screaming herself hoarse but all she did was smile and support him. That was how the brotp, Moonflower started.

Lily's was a doe and James' a stag. They were a pair. Sirius' was a dog and Marlene's a fox. This highly amused James as Sirius loved chasing foxes. Dorcas' was an female tiger and Emmeline's an owl. Frank's was a lion and Alice's a dolphin. 

And then, Snape called her a 'Mudblood.' Lily made it clear that their friendship was done. Mary was attacked by Avery but Snape? He insisted that it wasn't Avery's fault. Just a ton of shit. Sirius ran away from his house that summer and started living with James. 

Sixth year came. Lily started liking James. He had matured and they were friends. He didn't ask her out every ten seconds now. Dorcas and Emmeline were together now. Sparks were flying between Sirius and Marlene, too.

In October, James started dating Melanie Clearwater. A pretty sixth-year Ravenclaw. Lily, of course, was jealous. James didn't like Melanie so much as he still loved Lily. But dude, anything's fair in love and war!

All went well between James and Melanie until that Ravenclaw finally--finally--showed her true colors. By that I mean that she called Lily and Mary Mudbloods. She was prejudiced, too. James broke up with her at that very moment.

Lily's parents died in February due to a death eater attack. Petunia blamed her because she said, and I quote:

'It was because of your freakish things that those freaks killed Mom and Dad!'

Lily was heartbroken but her friends supported her. And, on the 16th of April, James finally asked her out.

It was raining and they were standing near the lake. He asked her and she kissed him. It meant a yes.

The news spread like fire in a dry forest. After all, James Potter and Lily Evans had finally got together! Snape had cornered Lily after Potions and asked her how she could do that to him. He had tried to kiss her but Lily had slapped him (and kneed him in the you-know-what).

Lily lived in The Potter Manor for that summer. Euphemia and Fleamont loved her dearly. It also meant that she was close to James. She admitted that she loved him.

Both of them were made Heads. Lily wasn't surprised about James, he may be a prankster but he was a natural born leader.

In October that year, Sirius and Marlene started dating (finally, after years of sexual tension!).

There were more attacks, of course. The patrols were hardened. Everyone was worried. That Christmas, Narcissa, Bellatrix and Regulus ran away, too. All three were staying at Andromeda's house.

In February, Frank proposed to Alice. It wasn't shocking as they were dating from a very long time and loved each other a lot.

On the 16th of April (again), Lily and James' anniversary, he proposed to her, too. The year passed quickly. After that, they joined the Order of The Phoenix alongside their friends.

They were successful aurors now, and so were Emmeline, Dorcas, Marlene, Alice, Sirius and Frank. Mary was working in the Magical Law Enforcement Office.

Narcissa and Bellatrix were working at Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop in Hogsmead because Regulus was still at Hogwarts. Remus was working in Flourish and Blotts.

On a sunny day on 16th April 1979 (once again) James and Lily got married. In May, Marlene announced that she was pregnant with Sirius' child.

Sirius, as expected, was hyperventilating.

'Prongs! I'll never be a good dad!'

'Moony! My kid will never like me!'

'Wormy! What if it hates me?'

'Marls! I'm so sorry!'

These sentences were normal now. In November, Lily and Alice, both were pregnant. And James took it worse than Sirius. He didn't let Lily do any work.

All the work in the house was done by him. He treated Lily like she was a rare, fragile and precious gem.

On the 20th February, Marlene gave birth to twin girls. They were named Celeste Lily McKinnon-Black and Skylar Marlene McKinnon-Black.

For some odd reason, Dumbledore didn't let Marlene and her family go out in May for a mission. It was odd but they were safe.

On July 30th, Alice gave birth to Neville Frank Longbottom. The next day at precisely 12: 59: 59, Harry James Potter came in the world. Unfortunately, in September, Euphemi and Fleamont died of Dragon Pox. Everyone was struck with grief but they supported each other. 

He, Celeste and Skylar were great friends. But Harry and Molly Weasley's son, Ron, were sure to be best mates.

They learned the prophecy and their world was torn apart. Alice and Lily spent hours crying, holding their sons as though their life depended on them.

They went into hiding. James was not the type to stay at home but he could do anything to protect Harry. Dumbledore told them strictly to make Sirius the secret-keeper. But Peter and Remus knew the location.

On the 31st of October, Dumbledore came in their house with Remus and Sirius.

'Please sit.' He said gravely. He made them drink Veritaserum and make sure that they were really Sirius and Remus. He told them that he knew the future, that's why he didn't let The McKinnons go to the mission. He knew they'd be killed.

He told them about Peter's betrayal, too. All five of them came inside Harry's nursery, their wands ready.

Voldemort also wanted Harry, he jinxed them and pointed his wand at Harry.

'AVADA KEDAVRA!' He shouted. There was a flash of green light, Harry cried out but the next second, Voldemort was laying on the ground, eyes open in shock.

He was dead.

His body was burned in the darkest and deepest vault at Gringotts. His ashes were buried in The Tenebris, the darkest and deepest vault. It was sealed with powerful magic. 

Sirius and Marlene married soon after that. They, Celeste and Skylar were living in a cottage in St. Ottery Catchpole. Lily, James and Harry lived in The Potter Manor.

The next year, in March, Lily found out that she was pregnant again. In December, she gave birth to Holly Euphemia Potter. She was named so because she was born on the 24th of December, a Christmas baby!

Holly had red hair like Lily but hazel eyes like James'. She and Ginny Weasley were great friends. In May, Alice gave birth to William Leo Longbottom.

Skylar and Celeste were great friends with Lydia Julienne Vance-Meadowes. You guessed it! Lydia was the adopted daugter of Emmeline and Dorcas.

The children grew up together, went to Hogwarts together and were happy.

Later, when Harry married Ginny Weasley, their kids were named James Sirius Potter, Remus Harry Potter and Lily Luna Potter.

So they lived. And stayed happy.
