FOR THE FIRST TIME IN a while, Lexi genuinely felt at peace, her friends finally being brought together and her father's starting to reconcile after many years of rivalry that has gotten between their potential friendship. Standing beside Hawk and Demetri, Lexi felt the strong hands of her boyfriend, slowly wrapping around her waist, making a smile appear brightly on her face.
"You know both of my dads are right there and they won't hesitate to kick your ass right?" Lexi had sarcasm laced in her voice, yet both she and Hawk knew she was serious as well. Simply shrugging his shoulders, Hawk dismissed his girlfriend's warning and continued to leave his arm wrapped around her waist.
But when Johnny turned his vision towards his daughter, his demeanor instantly turned into a protective one as he saw how handy grabby Hawk was getting with his daughter Lexi. Daniel was too distracted talking, so he didn't notice Lexi and Hawk. Johnny immediately shot daggers towards his daughter's boyfriend and fortunately for Hawk, he noticed Johnny's angered expression to know what he was thinking.
He reluctantly let go of Lexi's waist, making her look at Hawk in confusion and when she traced where his vision was set on, she simply laughed at her dad's protectiveness.
"Don't worry, he loves you, he's just messing around," Lexi said with a chuckle and Hawk knew it too, but that didn't stop him from shivering at the sight of Johnny's death glare. Easing some of the tension, both dojos' lined up into rows.
"Okay just breathe and follow me." Daniel started to lead with kata, Miyagi-Do following effortlessly, along with Lexi who has known these steps ever since she was a child. However, Eagle Fang, on the other hand, was completely clueless.
"Fighting positions!" Lexi jumped in her place, instantly switching from Miyagi-Do to Eagle Fang as she got into her fighting positions. "Front kick ready, hi-yah!" All of the members from Eagle Fang lifted their legs up, hitting the students in front of them, painful groans filling the air.
"Oh, this is going to be a long day" Lexi sighed, putting her hands on her hips, staring up at her dads who had a frustrated look on their faces as well.
"You have no idea, princess."

"Dad, I told you, I'm not picking sides. I'm here to learn both techniques of karate, not just one." Lexi explained to Johnny who was eagerly trying to make her pick a side, but he knew he couldn't convince her.
"Yeah, I figured, but you have to admit, Eagle Fang is much better than that Miyagi crap."
Johnny stared at his daughter, waiting for her to answer, but she just smiled and shook her head. "Both styles of yours and Dad's karate has its perks. Now, tell me again, why are we using my boyfriend as a human punching bag?"
"Because, he was being a dick, plus it's entertaining." Lexi slapped her father's arm harshly, a small 'ouch' escaping his lips, but before the other Eagle Fang students could continue to hit Hawk repeatedly, Daniel's booming voice interrupted them.
"Sensei Lawrence, may I have a word with you?" Johnny told the kids to take a break while he and Daniel went out back to have a talk. Grabbing Hawk's hand, Lexi took him inside so they could get a drink of water.
"Dad really worked you over, huh?" Lexi chucked as Hawk swigged his water bottle, his eyes widening in agreement.
"Yeah and I think it's mostly because I'm dating his daughter." Lexi nodded her head, knowing that was definitely another possibility, considering how Johnny is. Hawk slowly walked over to a painting that he was staring intently at, Lexi following hot on his heels and before she could explain what it was, Demetri beat her to it.
"That's the sparring deck where Mr.Miyagi's great-grandfather taught karate on an Okinawan waterfront." Lexi saw the glints of sparkles in her boyfriend's eyes and she smiled, seeing his smile slowly becoming visible.
"Yo, be careful with that."
"Why, you think I'm going to break it?"
"You already broke the door and you stole Mr. Miyagi's medal," Chris said, Lexi silently agreeing with him, but before things can get heated, she stepped in between the boys.
"Look, guys, Eli already apologized for that several times and I accepted his apology." Chris and the rest of Miyagi-Do simply ignored Lexi, earning a glare from her.
"Go back to your little Eagle gang. You're not wanted here." When Chris said this, Lexi's temper started to break, her patience on a thin line now.
"Hey, watch it, Chris," Lexi said with a low and intimidating voice. Both Chris and Nate backed up from the young LaRusso and as Hawk walked away from the rest of the kids, Lexi gave one last piercing glare towards the boys before catching up to her boyfriend.
"Eli, wait up! Don't listen to them, you know I want you here."
"I know you do, love, but if I want to make things right, I need to talk to your dad."
Lexi wanted to tell Hawk that Daniel had already forgiven him, but she knew his stubbornness wouldn't let him get off that easily. He needed to hear Daniel's words that everything was okay, but that moment was escalating.
"Hey, Mr. Larusso, can we talkโ I don't know where I fit in here." Lexi stood by Hawk's side at all times and she waited to see what he had to say to her father. But Daniel was not having it, his temper got in the way again.
"What? Well, what did you expect? You burned bridges with everyone here." Lexi saw the way her boyfriend's expression was depleting and her heart shattered. Hawk walked away, leaving an angry Lexi with her father, profanity words threatening to leave her mouth.
"Dad, what the hell? That was so uncalled for." Lexi started to chase after her boyfriend, ignoring her father's voice that was calling out her name repeatedly. She finally caught up with Hawk and her gentle touch making him turn around, tears threatening to spill out of his eyes.
"Eli, you know he didn't mean it. We all want you here, I want you here." Shaking his head vigorously Hawk did not know what else to do so he simply embraced his girlfriend's body and placed his head on the crook of her neck.
Lexi was caught off guard by the sudden hug, but when she heard the soft sobs of her boyfriend, she melted into his touch. Being this vulnerable in public was something Hawk would rarely do, but the only thing that can keep him calm right now was Lexi.
"No, no, your dad is right. I don't belong here."
"He never said that," Lexi said, pleading for any ways for him to stay. However, nothing was working. Lexi knew it was hard to convince Hawk of a lot of things so she scrambled in her mind to try and find a way for him to listen to her.
And she found one.

Hawk was menacingly holding the sledgehammer over his shoulder as it swiftly knocked down the fence, a satisfying sound of wood breaking filling everyone's ears. Lexi was able to convince Hawk to stay with an idea they both mustered up and with the other kids agreeing, it was able to become one hell of a surprise for Johnny and Daniel.
"Are you sure you're not a secret murderer or something because you seemed to really enjoy knocking down that fence," Lexi sarcastically asked her boyfriend, making him playfully roll his eyes.
"What if I was? Last time I checked, you had a thing for Billy Loomis." Lexi nodded her head in defeat, not denying her obsession with the fictional horror movie character. One time when Hawk and Lexi were cuddling at his house, they were watching Scream and he couldn't help but feel jealous whenever Billy would appear on the screen, his girlfriend gawking over the psychopath.
"Luckily for you, I love you more than Billy," Lexi said, leaning in slightly towards her boyfriend. Their faces were close together and Hawk grabbed Lexi's waist with one arm and brought her closer, their chests touching against one another.
"Damn straight." Hawk placed a gentle kiss on Lexi's lips, both of them melting into each other's touch, but then the loud voice of Daniel interrupted their moment, both scared of what he has to say.
"Hey! What are you doing?" Lexi slowly walked up to her dads and explained to them how they were building an Okinawan sparring deck. The unreadable looks on Daniel and Johnny's faces didn't go unnoticed by Lexi and she was wondering what they were thinking. After they agreed that they would love to have a sparring deck, Lexi jumped back into Hawk's embrace, making him stumble slightly.
"I think this is actually going to work."
"It's going to work because of you, princess."
