2018
PRE 2019 FORMULA ONE SEASON
THEA slung her camera around her neck, waiting for Matt to come back in the room with their next interviewee. She had her hair up in a clip, so as to stop it from tangling in the camera strap, but a few stray hairs had fallen across her eyes. She attempted to blow it away, but failed to do so. She huffed, and Katy looked over from her chair. She smiled at the young girl and stood up, walking over towards the photographer.
"Here, otherwise you'll never get it out of your eyes."
Thea smiled thankfully at Katy. "Thanks K."
Dorothea James was the newest member of WTF1, a group of Formula One loving people who created a blog about the sport. It had quickly escalated, and now, they were interviewing drivers left, right and centre.
Thea had only been a part of the WTF1 community for a few months, after seeing an advertisement for a wanted motorsport photographer. Thea had been a petrol head since the day she was born. Her father used to own a motorcycle, and never failed to take her around for a spin around her town. She never forgot the feeling oh the wind through her hair, it was the best feeling in the world.
Thea herself had never been able to take up racing as a hobby, her parents not ever having a lot of money. Instead, she began to go to her local track, and photograph the drivers. It's where she found her passion, and also one of her best friends.
Nia Cate was one of the best drivers Thea had ever seen. She was an amazing overtaker, and knew the exact defensive line she could take, without loosing any time. Thea had approached Nia one day, asking if she was able to photograph her whilst she was racing, and the rest was history. Now, Nia was hunting down a seat in DTM, and Thea was off taking photos of the best drivers in the world : Formula One drivers.
The door of the room flung open and Matt walked in, with the newest interviewee, scanned the room and sighed. "Where's Tommy?"
Thea shrugged. "I don't know. Restroom maybe. He has been gone a while though."
Matt raised his eyebrows. "Great. K will you come help me find him?"
Katy groaned. "Aw really? Can't you go by yourself?"
"No K, cause then I'll get lost and ten Tommy and I will both be missing."
Katy rolled her eyes, and muttered under her breath "Like that's such a bad thing." Before standing up. She grabbed Matt by the upper arm and pulled him out of the room to search for the missing member of the group.
Thea rolled her own eyes, before letting out a deep breath, turning to the driver. "Sorry about that, It's a new venue. We're all a bit lost. Bar Katy. I'm Thea." she introduced herself. She held her hand out to him, but he hesitated in taking it.
He studied her wide eyed, and was taken aback by her beauty. He had never seen anyone like her, her brown hair falling down her face slightly, covering her hazel coloured eyes, which ed were filled with light. She was dainty, almost like a fairy.
"Uh, sorry," he said before taking her hand and shaking it. "Hi, I'm Lando. Norris."
"Nice to meet you." Thea said, smiling at him. She noticed that he was young, her age, and quite attractive. He had curly brown hair, and eyes like sinking ships on water.
Thea went back to setting up her camera, but talked to Lando. "So, you're Mclaren next year. Excited?"
Lando let out a nervous chuckle. "Yeah. Nervous but excited. I mean Formula One is my dream, and now it's come true. I'm buzzing."
Thea grinned at him. "I can imagine. What id give to drive one of those cars."
Lando's head tilted in interest. "You drive?" he asked curiously. It was rare for him to find a pretty girl who would talk to him about F1, and he was rather enjoying talking to Thea.
"No. I didn't get the chance as a kid. Was never that rich. Boy would I have loved to though."
"It's the best feeling in the world honestly." Lando said, placing his hands in his back pocket as they talked. "The thrill of it all, it's just so amazing."
"Stop, you're making me jealous." Thea teased. Lando laughed at her and began to rock back and forth. Thea noticed this, and gestured to the chair beside him. "Sit down, you might be here a while, Matt tends to waffle."
Lando sat down as Thea finished setting up her handheld camera, and moved onto the large one, kept steady on a stand. She turned it on and swivelled it towards Lando, "This might feel weird the camera on you with me taking photos at the same time but, I suppose you're used to it by now." Thea said, as she stood back up.
"Yeah no worries. I get it all the time." Lando said, waving his hand. His voice sounded monotone, and almost as if he'd said these exact words thousands of times."
Thea frowned at him slightly. "Do you get a lot of it? The cameras?"
"All the time." Lando said sighing slightly.
Thea frowned again, never having thought about this before. "Does it bother you?"
"Sometimes. I don't mind most of the time but, some times some press can get invasive." Lando said, nonchalantly.
"I'm sorry." Thea said, not knowing anything else she could say.
"It's alright. It's not like it's you that's invasive." He chuckled.
Thea chuckled too. "Yeah. That's true."
Suddenly, the door opened and in came the three remaining members of WTF1, Katy leading the pack, Matt in the middle and Tommy jogging along behind them. "Sorry guys." he said as he shut the door behind him.
Matt sat down in the chair opposite Lando. "It's alright mate, we all get lost."
Katy walked over to Thea and whispered in her ear, "They kept getting lost on the bloody way back. I hate men." Thea held in a laugh as Matt prepared his questions and settled down. He looked over to Thea and nodded towards the large camera.
Thea leaned forward, turning it on, and leaning back, as Matt began the interview, with new Mclaren Formula One driver, Lando Norris.
IT had been a long day for Thea. The interview with Lando took longer than expected, as the camera filing the whole interview stopped working halfway through. Thea had tried to fix it, but whatever had glitched in the system was going to take hours to fix. Katy ended up having to film the rest of the interview on her phone, and they would have to edit the parts together tomorrow.
Matt and Tommy had gone to get the car from where they had parked (a good while away from the venue) and Katy had gone over to reception to let the people know they elders leaving for the day.
Thea had offered to stay behind and pack up the equipment, not trusting the boys to do it. The cameras were very precious to her, and she freaked out every time Matt or Tommy stood near them, let alone packing on up that was already broken.
As she finished placing the camera stand in its case, she stood up, and walked over to her handheld camera to pack that up before she left. She noticed that there was a piece of paper settled underneath it.
Confused, she lifted the camera off the table and took the paper. She unfolded it and read the words scribbled on the lines.
if you need a model for something
sorry that was really bad

Thea chuckled at Lando's attempt to be funny, and looked at the number written below it. She smiled to herself secretly. She'd never been given a boys number before, and she wasn't quite sure if Lando meant it in a friendly way, or something else.
Nevertheless, she pocketed the note, making a mental note to message Lando when she got back to her hotel.
