CHAPTER 1

"No, Charlie. You cannot commit gynaecide."

He looked up at me with his so-called 'puppy dog eyes' and pouted. "But all the girls in my class are mean! So are my Mom and teachers. You're mean to me as well! Actually,  you're the meanest of them all."

"Yes, well, I'm your girlfriend. So suck it up and help me organise my pens, please. "

He groaned but settled back down in his chair, crossing his arms. "I don't understand why you won't let me. You killed your neighbour last week!"

I lifted my pen and pointed it towards his face. "He deserved it. I told him to lock up that dog of his but he denied. I told him there'd be consequences. Look where that got him, aye?" I settled my pen back down in it's proper box.

Rolling his eyes, Charlie complained, "Victoria, please! One of them threw their lunch at me yesterday."

I slammed my hands on the table and turned towards him. "What!? Why didn't you say anything?" I yelled.

"I've been trying to tell you for the past three hours! All you're focusing on is cleaning everything in your room, it's not my fault!"

I rolled my eyes, stood up and pulled him with me. "Follow me, we're going to this bitch's house right now."

Half an hour later and I'm knocking on this ugly green door, with Charlie waiting in the car. A few seconds later, some blonde girl wearing shorts shorter than her underwear comes out. "Can I help you?" She asks, looking at me up and down.

Oh, she's that type of girl. Okay. I can deal with that.

I crossed my arms and stared down at her. "Well, first of all. Do you know anyone named Charlie?"

She looks confused for a second before saying, "Oh my God, are you his Mom? This is so embarrassing. Look, I don't know about that kid, but he's got some real issues. Seriously. You need to get him checked out, because if I were him, I'd honestly cry. The kid's a freak!"

The girl doesn't even get a chance to blink before I punch her right across her left cheek. "That's for calling Charlie a freak."

Another punch, this time on her right cheek. "That's for saying Charlie has some real issues." This time, I grab her by the hair and pull her closer. "And this is for thinking I'd ever let someone get me pregnant." I slap her across the face and shove her into her house. She falls on her butt with a thud as I make my way back into the car.

As I close my side of the door, Charlie asks, "So, what happened there?"

I give him a reassuring smile before starting the car and getting the hell out of there. "She just invited me in for some coffee."

A few minutes go by and it becomes  too silent for the two of us. "So, Charlie. Does anyone else bother you?"

"Are you going to kill them all? Because if you were going to do that, there wouldn't be any students left in the school."

I sighed and parked the car somewhere, turning to face him. Charlie has always been on my side and never judges anything I do, which is why I stay with him. It's because I know I can trust him, and I want him to trust me.

"Babe, look. I know that I'm not the perfect girlfriend you imagined you'd have when you were a little boy. You can't change me, this is who I am. But I want you to be able to talk to me more about these things, okay?" I looked up into his crystal, brown eyes. He's so perfect-looking, I don't know why he gets bullied. "I may not be perfect, but I'd do anything to protect you from harm. You know that, right?"

He just nods, looking right back at me.

I give him a reassuring look before my eyes go back to the road and my hands go back to the wheel.

Once we get back to my house, I notice there's a car at the neighbour's front door.

The house was put up for sale since nobody found the man's will, which I burned after I killed him. He wasn't married and didn't have any children so they figured to just put it up for sale.

"What's going on over there?" Asks Charlie.

"I'm not so sure. Want to find out?" He looks up at me with a wide grin. I look back at the house. "We better get going, then. It's getting dark."

We quickly get out of the car and sneak up to the house. I hide behind one of the walls, peeking around the corner. I might look like a creep to other people, but I'm a teenager so they get it.

"Vick, what if we get caught? We'll need a lawyer and, no offence, we don't exactly have any money."

"It's fine, Charl. An inch of skin costs ten bucks anyways so just sell your hand or something and we'll be good to go."

He looks back at me with fear but I just roll my eyes. "We won't get caught. Come on." I pull his hand as we run through the backyard, mud splattering on our jeans. "Keep your voice down, Charlie!" I whisper-yell even though I'm the one who was laughing.

We reach right up to the wall next to the front door. There's a woman carrying bags and boxes from her car and placing them in front of the door. "Vick, please. Someone'll see you." I shush him before going back to look at the woman, only to find her staring right back at me.

I quickly hide behind the wall and breathe, cursing when I hear her say "Excuse me? Young lady?"

Charlie raises an eyebrow at me as I put a smile on my face and come out from behind the wall. "Heyyy neighbour. How ya doing?"

The lady stares at me, one hand balancing a box on against her hip and the other one on her hip. "And may you tell me what you were doing there, miss.."

"Juliette." No way in hell am I giving this woman my real name.

"Well, Juliette. Do you think it's polite to stare at people?"

I look down at my feet and put my hands behind my back. "No, ma'am."

"And do you think it's polite- actually, do you think it's legal for you to watch people from behind their own house?" She asked.

I sighed. "No ma'am. I don't think so."

"Good. Because it's not. I'd like a word with your mother, please." I looked up at her to find a face that isn't very friendly. One more person on my hitlist, under the blonde bitch.

"Okay, my house is right over there." I pointed behind me as the woman settled down her stuff and started walking towards my front door. As she passes me, I flip her off and look back at Charlie, to see him practically suffocating laughing. "Shut up, asshole. Get out of here."

"You sure? I can come with you if you want." He suggested.

"No, it's okay. I can handle her."

"You mean kill her." He corrected.

"Yeah, whatever. Take my car home-" I threw my keys at him. "-and drive say, 'kay?"

He caught them and looked at me. "You sure?"

I smiled at him. Damn this boy, always trying to make sure I agree with what I'm doing. "Yes, I'm sure. Now get your ass out of here before that crazy woman comes back."

He does some sort of salute, saying "Yes, Captain!" before running off after I throw my shoe at him.

I run back towards my house to find the woman and my mother arguing.

"I'm sorry, but I don't have a daughter named Juliette! Now will you please stop wasting my time with this nonsense? I have work to finish up and you yelling at me in my face is not helping out." My mother yells.

I laugh which makes both the women look right at me. The crazy lady pointed at me saying, "Ha! You see? I told you you had a daughter!"

I smiled nervously as my mom was practically killing me in her mind right now. "Oh, hey! Did I forget to mention? Juliette is my middle name.."

The crazy lady scoffed and looked at my mother. "Is this the type of behaviour you teach your children? She was in my backyard!"

Mom stared up at the woman in disbelief before stepping out and saying, "If you talk about my daughter like that one more time, you'll be out of that house before you get the chance to move in. Get out of my sight and leave my family alone."

Now it was the crazy lady's turn to stare at my mother in disbelief. But she chose the right choice and decided to leave the house. Leaving me and my mother's deathly stare.

I try to make my way past her before she starts screaming. "Victoria Juliette Katerina!" -my mom's a feminist- "What did I say about sneaking up to our new neighbours? I told you, they won't like us! I was going to bring cookies to this nice lady but I guess not anymore."

"Mom, you can't cook. Last time you did, the firefighters came to our house. I think the police came as well." I reminded her of the incident that occurred last fall. The time she wanted to cook chicken but accidentally lit a towel on fire which then burned down half of our kitchen. Not kidding.

"Yes, I've established that issue already, thank you very much. I was going to buy her cookies."

"We both know that's not true."

She just looked at me in an annoyed type of way before tutting and telling me to go to my room.

"Sure can do, mom. Sure can do."

I ran upstairs to my room, locked my door and plopped onto my bed. The first thing I did was call Charlie.

It rang once, twice, and then, "Hey Vick. You still alive?"
