CHAPTER FOUR:

THE PARTY

STORES WERE CLOSING early due to the curfew that was now till nine o'clock because of the recent murders and attacks that's been going around. Not many vehicles or people could be seen out on the streets, only parents and families rushing to their homes before they'd possibly be the next victims.

A police car could be seen driving towards the grocery store, which was close to the police station. A group of four could be seen inside as Dewey parked the car off beside the sidewalk, hopping out before he moved his seat so Y/n and Sidney could step out from the back, Tatum walking around the vehicle.

"Sure is quiet." Dewey comments.

Sidney sighs. "God, look at this place. It's The Town That Dreaded Sundown."

"Yeah, I saw that movie. It's about a killer in Texas, huh?" Dewey asks, taking his sunglasses off.

"Hey, Sid, just think, if they make a movie about you, who's gonna play you?" Y/n states in question.

Sidney shrugs. "I shudder to think."

"I see you as a young Meg Ryan myself." Dewey admits.

"Thanks, Dewey. With my luck, they'd cast Tori Spelling." Sidney replies.

And with that, the three girls were walking off towards the grocery store as the police officer calls out to them, telling them that he'd just be a couple of minutes, making sure to add by telling them not to go too far before he walked off.

"Is Billy gonna be there tonight?" Sidney questions.

"He better not be. I told Stu to keep his mouth shut." Y/n tells her.

"I think we can live without the endorphin rush for one night." Tatum adds.

The group of three walk into the grocery store, greeting the person at the cash register before Y/n grabbed a cart. For a couple minutes, they were talking as they walked through the aisles, Tatum grabbing whatever she thought was good for a party.

"Billy's right, you know." Sidney speaks up. "Whenever he touches me, I just can't relax."

Y/n shrugs. "So you have a few intimacy issues as a result of your mother's untimely death. That's no big deal, Sid. You'll thaw out."

"Yeah, but he has been so patient with me with all the sex stuff." Sidney recalls, grabbing stuff from the freeze. "How many guys would put up with a girlfriend who's sexually anorexic?"

"Billy and his penis don't deserve you, alright?" Tatum insists.

The three turn down another aisle as they fail to notice the pair of eyes watching them, the ghostface mask reflecting on the glass doors of the freezer before he quickly ran off before they could catch him.

* * *

The music in Stu Macher's house was blaring throughout the entire place as it was full of quite a few teenagers, but not too much that the house was crowded of people. The trees around the residence were tall as it was now dark out, the crickets chirping as they hid within the tall grass. Some parked vehicles could be seen that belonged to the teenagers in the house.

Dewey's police car could be seen pulling up to the house before the teenagers were climbing out, giving their goodbyes to the police officer. Everyone cheered once they ventured inside, holding up the snacks they had gotten from the grocery store just a few hours ago before the sun had fully set.

As they entered the kitchen, Stu immediately turned to his girlfriend and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her closer. He placed his lips against hers, placing one of his hands on the back of her head as he dipped her down a bit. Some people cheered before the couple finally pulled apart.

It was only a few minutes after where most of the teenagers found themselves inside of the living room of Stu's house. Tatum was sitting side by side with Sidney, who was looking through horror movies while Randy stood in front of the television, holding up two different movies and trying to see who wanted to watch which.

At the other end of the couch, the couple could be seen cuddling while they sucked each other's faces. Stu's hand cupped Y/n's cheek while their lips moved in sync. Neither of them seemed to care about everyone around them. When they pulled away from each other, Stu instantly leaned down and began kissing her neck.

"The Fog, Terror Train, Prom Night." Sidney lists off as she goes through the movies. "How come Jamie Lee Curtis is in all of these movies?"

Randy crouches down beside the couch, clasping his hands together. "She's the scream queen."

"With a set of lungs like that, she should be." Stu comments, lifting his head up from Y/n's neck.

Just then, the sound of the doorbell could be heard, to which Stu unwrapped his arms from his girl to jump over the couch and to the door, quickly asking Tatum to grab more beers before he walked off. However, it didn't take him all that long before he was rushing back inside the room.

"You are not gonna believe who's here! It's that chick from Top Story!" Stu exclaims.

"Gale Weathers?" Randy realizes in question, to which Stu nods excitedly.

While everyone else seemed excited, Tatum cursed out loud as she stood up when her eyes caught sight of her older brother walking in with Gale Weathers. Calling out his name, she ushered Dewey over with a gesture of her finger as the rest of the teenagers in the house excitedly and happy greeted the news reporter.

It wasn't all too long before the music had slowly died down as some of the teenagers grabbed their things. Stu stood at the door, his arm wrapped around Y/n's shoulders from behind as people walked out of the house, commenting on how great of a party it was as they headed home for the curfew.

"Tatum, come on!" Sidney yells out after searching for the blonde, turning to the couple. "Do you know where she is?"

Y/n shakes her head. "No, I haven't seen her."

All of a sudden, the sound of a yelp as someone comes out from their hiding spot at the front door makes them jump, spinning around to face the culprit. There, hands on both sides of the doorframe, stood Billy as he looked at the couple, giving them a slight look. Crossing her arms, Sidney gulps as she greets him awkwardly.

"Billy." Stu greets as he rubs his chin with a hum. "What are you doing here?"

"I was hoping I could talk to Sid alone." Billy admits.

"You know, if Tatum sees you here, she'll draw blood." Sidney comments.

"I'll tell you what. Why don't you guys go up to my parents room? You know, you guys can talk, whatever." Stu suggests with a smile.

Billy narrows his eyes on him. "Subtlety, Stu. You should look it up."

"No, it's okay. We do need to talk." Sidney insists.

As she reaches over and and pulls on his arm a bit, the boy follows behind her with a little smile twitching on his lips. As he passed Stu, Billy made sure to hit him in the stomach before he and Y/n began venturing upstairs. At the sight of the two of them, Randy frowned as he moved towards the couple at the front door.

Randy clenches his jaw. "What's Leatherface doing here?"

"He came to make up." Y/n replies.

"There goes my chance with Sid. Damn it." Randy curses in annoyance.

"As if. That's all I'm saying." Stu states, closing the front door behind him. "As if."

The boy practically put his hand in Randy's face as he walked off, pulling his girlfriend with him. After a couple of minutes, the rest of the group of teenagers could be seen in the living room, beers in their hands while they watched the horror movie Randy put on. Y/n had her back to Stu's chest as he kept her close, their lips occasionally kissing.

Once the killer walked onto the screen and began killing the victims on the film, many groans and yells could be heard as people scrunched their faces from all the blood while others even cheered. Y/n let out a chuckle as she leaned her head back against Stu's shoulder. Randy was the only one who didn't look away from the screen, laser focused on the movie.

"How can you watch this shit over and over?" A boy asks once another kill happens, only to be shushed by Randy.

"I wanna see Jamie Lee's breasts." Stu blurts out, receiving many agreements. "When do we see Jamie Lee's breasts?"

"Not until Trading Places in eighty-three. Jamie Lee was always the virgin in horror movies. She never showed her tits till she went legits." Randy explains.

"Could afford a decent pair." A girl mumbles to the girl beside her.

"That's why she always outsmarted the killer in the big chase scene at the end. Only virgins can do that." Randy continues, ignoring her. "Don't you know the rules?"

Y/n raises a brow. "What rules?"

Glancing at the girl in shock, Randy practically slammed his bottle of beer onto the table before he grabbed the remote, pausing the movie, which received some eyerolls. He didn't seem to notice a she grabs his beer, moving to stand right in front of the television.

"Jesus Christ. You don't know the rules?" Randy questions in shock and disbelief.

"Have an aneurysm, why don't ya?" Y/n mutters, only making Stu snicker as he hid his face against her neck.

"There are certain rules one must abide by in order to successfully survive a horror movie. For instance, number one..." Randy begins, voice full of seriousness. "...you can never have sex."

At the sound of this, the group of teenagers all immediately began booing and shouting disagreements, even grabbing some of the popcorn they had in the large bowl and throwing it at him. Mumbling about how he'd be a dead man, Stu began pressing kisses to his girlfriend's neck.

"Sex equals death. Okay?" Randy insists. "Number two, you can never drink or do drugs."

Almost right after he said this, the entire group were letting out whooping and cheering sounds as they held up their bottles of beer, clinking them together before they took large gulps of the alcohol. Randy didn't hesitate to clink his bottle with someone's when they leaned towards him.

"It's a sin. It's an extension of number one. And number three..." Randy finishes, raising his voice so they could all hear him. "...never, ever, every under any circumstances, say 'I'll be right back', cause you won't be back."

As he had been speaking, Stu lifted his head from Y/n's neck as he moved out from underneath her, climbing over the chair they had been sitting on while he moves towards the entrance of the kitchen, a giddy smile on his face.

"I'm getting another beer. You want one?" Stu asks.

Randy nods, waving him off. "Yeah, sure."

"I'll be right back!" Stu jokingly exclaims.

A realization expression crosses Randy's face as he points at him while Stu backs up into the kitchen with a mock scared look on his face, all while the rest of the group laughs loudly or shouts at what had just happened. Leaning back in the chair, Y/n shakes her head, hiding her smirk behind her beer bottle.
