SYNOPSIS:

𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐀 𝐇𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐑𝐈𝐗 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐑 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝟔𝟗𝐓𝐇 𝐇𝐔𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐑 𝐆𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐒. Her Games were no different from any other year, all that changed was the arena and the contestants. But the bloodshed and excitement of the Games was always the same, the variables that never deviated from the norm.

Cora was a career, she had been trained since birth for the Games, ready to earn the respect of Panem in a barbaric tournament centered around the loss of life through cold-blooded murder. She was intelligent, sly, and strong, everything a winner of the Games needed to be. She had been cultivated into becoming the perfect killer, completely apathetic and merciless, ready to take a life given the chance.

And per tradition, when she turned the ripe young age of 18, Cora volunteered to represent District 2 in the 69th Hunger Games.

The arena for her Games was a burning desert. She could still remember the cruel sun beating down on her olive skin, incinerating her nerves with each malevolent ray of light. The burnt red sand searing through the soles of their shoes, charring new blisters into the poor pads of her feet. Her lungs had felt like they were drowning in molten lava, igniting her much needed organ into a blazing flame of pain.

But Cora had felt worse pain in her training, so she knew how to persevere.

In the bloodbath, Cora had killed 6 tributes. Taking their lives without hesitation and letting the soulless bodies bleed out on the sand without a second thought, the crimson liquid staining the sand as a reminder of her horrendous crimes. But that was not the last of her killings.

Each day more and more people fell from Cora's hand. More bodies rendered lifeless and families left without a child. She stole the most valuable gift ever bestowed among people without thinking of the consequence. All until she remained the only living person in the Games, the victor.

Cora was not exempt from the consequences of her actions, of the harsh retribution that came from the slaughter of so many innocent lives. She failed to sleep most nights due to her night terrors, memories of the things that she had done in the games, so intensely ingrained into her mind that the second she closed her eyes it was all she could see. The blood, the pain, the horror. She couldn't live her life without thought of her evil past.

But alas, Cora was hailed as a Queen, celebrated as if she had found the cure to cancer. The people of Panem adored her, turning her into a celebrity, a prize that they could mount on the trophy case. And Snow used this to his advantage.

He turned her into a mouthpiece for Panem. By day she was their Princess, a celebrity amongst the people. Their idol that they worshipped at her very feet. But by night, she was no more than a prostitute, an animal to be sold to the highest bidder. Used for her body and her status. They stole and stole pieces from Cora until there was nothing left. Until she was all but a shell of the person she had originally been.

That was until she met Finnick Odair, the Golden boy from District 4. The man that slowly but surely, was able to put her back together again.

NOTES:

↳ Emeraude Toubia can't be changed as the Face Claim for Cora

↳ Cora actually works for Snow due to her being from District 2. That means she knows about the Rebellion and is told of Snow's plan for the Quater Quell prior to the Games

↳ After her games, she begins to turn away from the Capitol and realize the corruption that it has, but only sides with the rebellion when she finds out about the Q.Q

↳ She uses any weapon she gets her hands on but is exceptionally good at hand to hand combat and spears

↳ Can be either fast burn or slow burn

↳ Cora is really good at hiding her emotions, so Finnick is the only one who can truly differentiate between Cora and the facade she plays for the public

↳ I have planned up to Mockingjay Part 1 which I will disclose to only the person who requests this plot

↳ Brutus can be replaced by an OC character if you want, it's not really important to the plot

↳ She can have a family if you want or they could be killed by the Capitol, once again it's up to you
