Ranking Who Played The Best Spider-Man!
Best Spider-Man/Peter Parker Debate!
Hi everyone! I decided to make a rather interesting topic since I had a similar conversation with who's the best portrayal of the character. Now don't get me wrong, each one did a phenomenal job with adding their own twist to the character! However, often times I see videos that undermine certain attributes and I think of ending the debate once and for all.
Btw this is based on both the movies/comic accuracy or similarities and somewhat satire. I know I'm no expert but here's my little resume— grew up with X-Men/Raimi!Spider-Man and everything Pre-MCU. I have a good collection of various comics and more than half are Spider-man ones. Also, he was always my favorite character so yeah... I think I qualify lol. Also if you're offended by the opinions that means you're either a child or you just have no taste.
And before I begin, you can also do your own take on whether who you think is the best! Comment along, share your thoughts (as long as you're being respectful), have some fun, and see if you have a similar or different opinion. Okay, now enjoy and have some popcorn 🍿.
CATEGORIES!
STRENGTH?
All Spider-Man's exhibits incredible strength when it came to civilians' life on the line or standing their ground against villains. Andrew and Tom are a close tie, but with Tobey ranks slightly more than Tom's. And you're probably want to emphasize the growth for Tom in NWH, and I get that. Especially that scene when he was so filled with rage that he wanted to murder Osborn. But who stopped him? Tobey. And then some will argue it's because he was on his knees for more support and using his body weight. Let me tell you something, although anger can cause more adrenaline, it also makes your moves sloppy. You don't concentrate and it overpowers instead of help. And the iconic train scene also adds emphasis. And if you mention the ferry scene for Tom, I'll probably assume you didn't see have later Tony helped when it was almost falling apart. Or maybe you're just Tom Holland stans and not Marvel ones.
+1 for Tobey
BEST SWINGS?
Ngl but rewatching the Tobey movies they did seem to be a bit stiff with the movements but considering they produced it in the early 2000s with technology barely new, I understand. Now, for Andrew, he was the most agile and you can see through his fluid movements, and honestly, his webbing technique was rather great. And for Tom, he definitely got some cool action when it came to having quick speed and great flexibility. However, I'm actually going to both Andrew and Tom for the more cutting-edge technology they go, BUT Tobey's definitely isn't far behind from what he worked with.
+1 for Andrew and Tom
HIGH IQ?
This is rather an interesting topic. I could just do logic, analytical, or practical but let's go with web-shooters. And I get it— Andrew and Tom's both build their own and other gadgets. However, I don't really see a possible explanation of how a teenager (15-18 years) can make an effective gadget. Don't get me wrong, I understand they're highly intelligent towards different subjects and interests. It was cool to see how Andrew was experimenting and improving but I call that a bit dangerous and less common sense if he did fail. Same with Tom, he definitely gets brownie points for using his knowledge in chemistry to work on the fluid and make different variations. Tobey may have lacked on that, he was already well-acknowledged in all types of science like nanotechnology with Osborn and even had the privilege of interning with Dr. Octavius. Something you can get, although some might say because through Harry. WRONG! Even Dr. Connors said so himself how brilliant he was and has a bright future in Science. And might I add, he got the science award for a reason.
+1 for Tobey
TECHNOLOGY?
Let's start off with the least likely, Tobey's. Part of the reason was in the early 2000s and was more focused on the physical aspect of practicality and realism. For Andrew, we definitely see the advanced gadgets from Oscorp and again a bit more modern. However, this will go to Tom because of how it centralized and the prove with his updated suits and choice of weapons. Definitely, something I envy that I want gadgets like that. Plus points for the parallel between Peter and Tony in FFH, imma cry now.
+1 for Tom
BEST SUIT?
This one is going to be short because all are iconic. Tobey's handmade, official, and black suit? Perfection! Comic accurate for Andrew? Spectacular! And Tom's homecoming and integrated suit? Stunning!

BEST SPIDEY-SENSE?
All did an equally great portrayal of the spidey-sense. But Tom really outshined here and here's the reason why. In FFH and NWH, it was both times when he was being betrayed by Mysterio and Green Goblin. Sensing the fake hologram from Beck and managing to block the bullet, and Osborn when he realized that he was conspiring against him. So yeah, that's my take on this one, but the others are amazing too.
+1 for Tom
BEST BEST FRIEND?
Now, this was a very close tie for this category, between Franco!Harry and Ned. Don't get me started on Dane!Harry because he was more like a snobby rich kid who just happened to be in the same class and somehow friends with Peter. We really didn't get to see much backstory with Ned like with Franco!Harry except that they did attend before high school. First off, Ned is such a supportive and caring friend to Peter, we see how well they fit and they are iconic in their own right. But the thing with friendships require trust, dishonesty, arguments, distance, and eventually mending the bond. It requires disagreements that I really didn't get to see with Ned and Peter, and for Franco!Harry you saw how he still cared even after keeping secrets, hurting him, and fighting. So this goes to Tobey.

BEST LOVE INTEREST?
Hands down Gwen Stacy. Not only did she always help him and was willing to risk her life, but she also care about the Peter aspect and still enough to understand and accept both sides. Michelle Jones was... alright. What I mean is that in Homecoming she was more like a classmate who so happens to observe Peter, but not really initiate anything other than sarcasm and occasional comments. And suddenly in FFH, it's revealed she liked him?? Like, I really didn't get how both of them never openly thought about each other or at least say a few conversations. Like Tom!Peter liked Liz, few months later fight and blip because of Thanos, return five years later and suddenly likes her?? And lastly, Mary Jane, and honestly— I don't hate her. Hear me out... sure she broke up and went with Harry and later revealed she liked Peter but he openly DENIED her! The following movies were more like confessions but wrong time yet remember they had their own lives! And sure, her screams may be a bit high pitched yet she still tried to help! Okay, I'm done.

BEST VILLAINS?
Tobey's and here's why. For Andrew's they did have an interesting backstory but it felt— forced. Meaning I didn't get to see a real connection between Peter except for Dr. Connors but even then it was more like a coincidence. For Tom, they really were more connected with Tony and somehow they went with it as if it was Peter's fault?? I'm unsure what was the thought process with this. Lastly, Tobey really brings out the best in both the good and evil aspects of the villains. Norman was like a father figure (at least, Osborn saw him as a son) and how close he was with Harry. Octavius was his inspiration, teacher, and mentor and even before his death it really showed he was simply a broken man that also cared for Peter. For Marko and Brock, one was the man supposed responsible for Ben's death and the other a rival. So what do you think?

BEST PETER PARKER?
Ngl, there were only two great candidates for this, Tobey and Tom. And first off, Andrew was okay... but that's it really. He seemed a bit too cool for my taste, rides a skateboard(?), looks too cute for being nerdy, and not really giving the awkward teen stage feel. For Tom, you can definitely see the small bursts of rambling or how he wasn't always mature but definitely looking the youngest compared to the others. He was great— but again not like how it was exactly portrayed in the comics unless I'm wrong. For Tobey, he was awkward, shy, disorganized, (also loved that they added the glasses to show the 'growth' after the serum), and unconfident. He struggled with himself, he first worked on himself between the second movie and I love that. Bonus points, that he was the only one I saw still be heroic as Peter Parker aka the burning building scene.

BEST SPIDER-MAN?
Now as much as I love how practical Tobey's method of taking out villains is more silent and effective in terms of how calculated he is. But the comedy relief really outshines with the others. In fact, even watching the old tv shows I always laughed at the puns or corny jokes he made. It brings a different side to him we haven't seen— more confident, brave, and definitely some interesting humor. Not much of a rant on this one, but I do want to point out that combat and usage of their powers are equally important.
+1 for Andrew and Tom
BEST MOVIES?
In terms of good storytelling, it was Tobey's. Great cinematography would go with Andrew. And best visual effects go to Tom. Some will fight with me that Tobey's is for the people who are nostalgic. Well I say— you obviously don't understand that the movies used practical effects and realism into it that the others can't beat. It's the reason it still lives up to being the BEST Marvel trilogy before the MCU. But, rewatching all of them, they were unique and I get that they really did a great job with plotting it differently for each one.

BEST MUSIC SCORE?
Again this one will be the shortest but both Andrew and Tom are so intriguing and beautiful. However, Tobey's theme will always be iconic (like Avengers iconic) and was composed by the iconic Danny Elfman. Case closed!
+1 for Tobey
MOST COMIC ACCURATE?
Damn this one is a tough one, definitely between Andrew and Tom. Again, Tobey is still great but I get that it wasn't the most accurate considering the making was in the early 2000s. The suit accurate definitely to Andrew and the visual scenery for Tom. BUT even Stan Lee himself said that Tom was the perfect one so I'll go with the legend himself.
+1 for Tom
FINAL RANKINGS!
First Place is Tobey with 8 points!
Second Place is Tom with 7 points!
+ Third Place is Andrew with 5.5 points!
THERE YOU HAVE IT, FOLKS! Also, remember this was MY personal ranking and gives some opinions if you agree or not. Lastly, I love how different they each other, and comparing them is just not right. Even with my favorite (wanna guess which?) in NWH they really did outshine with themselves. So, farewell for now and bug out!
