Sam nudged Mazikeen,

"Do you want to go with Jazz or Bumblebee and me?"

Mazikeen chuckled and glanced at him,

"And become a third wheel for my baby brother and his girlfriend? I think the hell not!"

Sam laughed,

"We are driving to pick her up,"

Mazikeen nodded,

"I know,"

Rover nudged Sam,

"Come on, Sam, we will be late,"

Sam laughed,

"To pick up Mikaela? I texted her that it would take a few,"

"I have learned that girls do not like waiting,"

Mazikeen laughed and nodded,

"That you are right, Rove, let's get going!"

Mazikeen finally got into Jazz and glanced at his dash,

"Hey, we are going to get Mikaela. Bee knows the way so just follow him again,"

"Are you alright?"

Mazikeen tilted her head,

"Yes, why?"

Mazikeen felt Jazz rev up a little bit before he started following Bumblebee, 

"You came out from the garage looking sad,"

Mazikeen sighed and looked down at her hands, 

"It's fine...it's just my mom,"

"That is your carrier, right?"

"Yeah...the one that gave birth to me,"

"What happened with your mother?"

Mazikeen sighed,

"You do not have to tell me, lil M, if you don't want to,"

Mazikeen shook her head, 

"No, it's okay...we just never had a good relationship...she never really understood my love for inventing and why I joined the army,"

"Why not?"

Mazikeen hollowly laughed, 

"Oh, she just thinks that a girl shouldn't fight, a girl shouldn't get her hands dirty with grease...a girl shouldn't speak out, shouldn't voice her thoughts around guys...and a girl should not be like me,"

Jazz immediately tightened his seatbelt around her as his way of hugging her, 

"Lil M?"

"Yeah?"

"You are absolutely amazing the way you are. Hell, you are doing something that no human has ever done before! You are the best human inventor I know, and I don't know that many but let's ignore that. We all like you the way you are, and I don't care what your creators say. You should never change for anyone. You are perfect just the way you are, lil M. Hell, you have power that so many humans would most likely abuse, but you want to use it for good. You are a good and kind person, lil M. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise,"

Mazikeen let a tear fall from her eyes as she put her hand on his dashboard,

"Thank you, Jazz...I really needed that,"

Jazz laughed, 

"Oh, I know. It comes with me being the best guardian ever,"

Mazikeen laughed, 

"And the greatest friend ever,"

Jazz felt a small pull at his spark again but ignored it as he tightened his seatbelt lightly again, 

"Just remember what I said,"

Mazikeen smiled, 

"I will,"

"Hey, let's listen to the best music ever!"

"Which is?"

Jazz immediately started playing Jazz music and Mazikeen laughed, 

"Woah, I would have never guess that you loved Jazz music,"

Jazz laughed, 

"Yeah, a lot of people get very shocked,"

Mazikeen smiled as she relaxed and listened to the music until they pulled up to a mechanic shop. She got out and patted Jazz's hood, 

"Be back soon,"

She ran up to Sam and Rover as they got out of Bumblebee, 

"So, lover boy, where is she?"

Sam sighed, 

"Come onnn,"

Mazikeen laughed and nudged him, 

"Hey, I have a shit ton to catch up on! I haven't teased you enough,"

Sam sighed, 

"Just follow me,"

They walked into the shop and Sam immediately smiled as they spotted Mikaela working on an engine, 

"Hey!"

Mikaela looked up and smiled at the siblings, 

"Sam! Mazikeen! Hi!"

Mazikeen smiled and shook her hand, 

"You can call me Maze, Mikaela,"

Mikaela smiled and nodded, 

"Okay, Maze,"

Sam smiled, 

"I want to show Maze what she has missed in her time away, I want you to come with us, if you can,"

Mikaela smiled and nodded, 

"I would love to,"

Mazikeen smiled softly at her and nodded, 

"Great! Let's get going,"

Sam smirked and nudged her, 

"We are actually going the scenic route, I'm going to tell Bee, Rover, you tell Jazz,"

Mazikeen stared as the two left and she face palmed, 

"My brother is an idiot,"

Mikaela laughed, 

"A lovable idiot,"

Mazikeen smiled softly and nodded,

"So, how are you feeling after everything?"

Mikaela smiled and shrugged, 

"My dad's about to get out jail on parol soon, so I am ready for the next step. Hopefully, I won't be alone for that next step,"

Mazikeen smiled and wrapped an arm around her shoulder, 

"You, my dear, will never be alone ever again. You have Sammy, and you have me,"

Mikaela smiled, 

"If Sam actually asks me out,"

"You are telling me, that idiot hasn't asked you out yet?"

Mikaela laughed and shook her head, 

"Nope,"

Mazikeen sighed, 

"Oh my sky, not to worry Mikaela, he will soon...Sammy is not the greatest at being social...why do you think I created Rover for him?"

Mikaela laughed, 

"I do adore Rover, he is the cutest thing,"

Mazikeen smiled and nodded, 

"He truly is...now come along, we have much to discuss,"

"Are you going to threaten me?"

Mazikeen glanced at her and tilted her head, 

"Why?"

Mikaela shrugged, 

"To never hurt your brother,"

Mazikeen shook her head with a laugh, 

"No no, I have a feeling about you, Mikaela, I know you are a good person...and you are just what my baby brother needs."

Mikaela smiled and nodded, 

"He is just what I need,"

Mazikeen winked at her, 

"Hey, couples that go into war together, stay together,"

Mikaela laughed as they finally left the small store, 

"Did you find someone in the army?"

Mazikeen glanced at the two cars and smiled softly, 

"No...no one that piqued my interest...there was this one guy a long time ago...but it would never have worked out,"

Mikaela glanced at her, 

"Why not?"

Mazikeen smiled at her softly, 

"Sometimes, you might find a person right for you...but neither of you are ready...and you have to learn to let them go,"

"What was his name?"

Mazikeen smiled at the younger girl, 

"Eddie, Eddie Diaz...he worked as a field medic. He went on a tour with me and my squad...but some things happened...and we talked it over, and it was not a good fit,"

Mikaela squeezed her hand, 

"I'm sorry,"

Mazikeen shrugged and winked at her, 

"Don't be, it was a learning experience for both of us. We weren't ready for any true relationship,"

Rover ran up to them and climbed up to Mazikeen's shoulder, 

"Jazz said it is okay for us to go on a walk but he will be following us like a hawk,"

Mazikeen laughed and nodded, 

"Okay,"

"You have never mentioned anyone before, who is this Eddie?"

Mazikeen blushed and her mouth dropped, 

"YOU HEARD THAT?!"

Rover laughed and nodded, 

"You are close to Jazz, we both heard what you said,"

Mazikeen groaned, 

"I swear if Sammy heard,"

"Heard what?"

Mazikeen immediately shook her head, 

"Nothing, nothing!"

Sam narrowed his eyes at his older sister and nodded, 

"Okayyy...Bee said he would follow us from a distance, so we are all set!"
