SUMMARY |

❝I am wicked in many ways.❞

Bea Bennett was just like her mother: powerful, empathetic, compassionate, selfless, and self-sacrificing. She would give up her magic if it meant those she loved would be safe.
But being just like her mother means that terrible things were bound to happen to her. Especially when it came to those that she cared deeply about.

OTHER |

• Beatrice Bennett, although she likes to be called Bea, is the only child of Bonnie Bennett. In this story, Bonnie is a single mother. She had a good boyfriend who would have been there for his daughter, but he sadly passed away after a car accident.
• She began to attend the Salvatore School for Young and Gifted when she was in the third grade. Bonnie thought it would be best for her to be around other supernatural beings, in a place where she would be the safest from any kind of danger. After all, being a Bennett meant she was bound to find danger.
• As a little girl, she had considered the Saltzman twins her cousins. They were, after all, the only people who had been there since she was born. Caroline Forbes was called her aunt, and Alaric Saltzman had been called her uncle. There were times where she found it to be weird, considering they were the headmasters of the school she was attending.
• Bea doesn't like Hope Mikaelson that much. Her mother had told her the tales of Klaus MIkaelson and how the worst had befallen the Bennett's after they tried to save Elena Gilbert. Her grandmother became a vampire, her mother had lost her magic (one of the many times it had happened), and many people died. Although her grandmother was happy at the moment, and she enjoyed her immortal life, there was still the silent sadness of knowing her whole family would be dead before her. And, she still missed magic.
The other reason why she never truly liked Hope Mikaelson was just because of who her father was. The Big Evil, The Big Bad Wolf—The Original Hybrid. Hope was her father's daughter, she thought they were bound to be the same.
• Bea is the bookish type, preferring books more than anything. Sometimes, including parties. Lizzie is the one that always pulls her to the parties, and sometimes she just goes because she has nothing to read until her new shipment of books arrive.
Since she is one of the original students at the Salvatore School, both Caroline and Alaric allowed her own bedroom. It's right next to Lizzie and Josie's, and sometimes she sneaks to the girls bedroom and sleeps there. They were always close.
• She and MG are close, with Josie making them the Three Musketeers. She also has banter with MG, considering that they could be considered best friends.
Bea is one of those people who doesn't want to have one best friend, but three. She's closest to Lizzie and Josie, but she also considers MG to be one of them.
• When Rafael arrives, she takes a liking to him. Not because he's strong and broken, because of his smile. The way he smiles is bright, but she sees the pain behind it. He has been through a lot.
They get close during the party on E1. He tells her his story, about his girlfriend dying and how he has been in foster care the grand majority of his life.
Bea hesitates, but she tells him that she sees her mom like three times a year. Sometimes she things she's an orphan. Her father died before she was born, and all she has of him is a photograph where he is smiling with his mother. Her mother travels the world, god knows doing what, while she has to stay inside the safe walls of the Salvatore Boarding School.
"At least you have your mom," Raf tells her, clasping his hands together.
Bea shrugs her shoulders and downs the rest of the alcohol concoction that was in her cup. "My mom is the all powerful Bonnie Bennett, the most powerful witch that has ever lived. Sometimes, it feels like I don't have her at all."
And they talk, pushing the thoughts of their past behind them. They talk about everything, and they laugh, and they drink.
And for the first time in a while, Bea feels actually happy.
• Bea suffers from bouts of psychosis, which is the reason why she has a lot of meetings with Emma.
She is the daughter of two magical beings, a witch and a warlock, and sometimes her magic builds up inside of her to the point where it pains her. Uncle Alaric, although sometimes she tries to call him Dr. Saltzman to sound more professional, allows her to free her magic on the distant grounds of the school. It's like freeing energy, a giant gust of wind that could bend trees and pull them from from the grounds along with their roots. Sometimes, she uses her magic to replant the trees.
There are moments in which her magic causes hallucinations
• Although there are certain kinds of magics that are not taught at the school, Bea learns spells through the many grimoires her mother had sent her. Her mother thinks she should learn every type of magic, meanwhile Dr. Saltzman just wants her to learn good magic. He had been there when magic brought down Bonnie Bennett, and if he wasn't there he had heard of it from Damon and Caroline. He doesn't want her daughter to go through the same things.
She keeps copies of the grimoires in the back of her closet, and the most recent one—the one she is currently working on—beneath her bed.
• At some point, she will loose her magic.
It could be because of the Necromancer. He brings back her father, and she talks to him for the first time in her life time. She feels a sense of excitement at seeing her father for the first time, but then is dread as she realises that it's also the last time. She tells him what she can in the short time they are together, about what her mom and the few happy moments they had shared. She tells him that Bonnie is probably searching for a way for her magic not to harm her, and she probably doesn't visit much because she can't see that this blessing is hurting her daughter.
She calls, though. She calls the majority of days and checks up on her, and she sends gifts from her travels. Cards or little trinkets, grimoires that she has to send back once she is done studying them because Uncle Saltzman would kill her if he found out she had such things hidden beneath her bed.
And lastly, she tells him she loves him.
It's his time to go, but she wants to keep him here for a few more moments, so she uses her magic to try and keep him there. It's a spell from a long time ago that her mother once used. She wanted to bring her father back. So, she did the spell. Her father didn't come back, and she lost her magic.
• Every other witch at the school tells her that even if she doesn't have magic, she will always be a witch (hence the title, lol). She calls her mom, sobbing, to tell her what happened. She tells her she met her father, and that she lost her magic. She can't even do one of the easiest spells that her mother taught her when she was a child.
It pains her, both physically and emotionally.
She shuts herself out from everything, including classes. She searches her grimoires in search for something that could possibly bring back her magic. She even asks Hope Mikaelson for help, which is something she thought she would never do. It's how she and Hope became close friends.
Even Rafael tries to help her have her magic back. He does little things like bring her meals to her bedroom, or organising the little knacks that had been strewn about, he even sits against the bed and does his homework with her facing the other way.
• In the end, Bea can have her magic back.
She tries to do a spell that will allow her to speak to every of her ancestors. She uses that spell to get her magic back, to ask her ancestors to allow the magic to flow in her veins.
Once ancestor steps forward and laid a hand on the girl's cheek. "The magic never left you," she said. And they all disappeared.
Bea is confused, angry, so she screams as loud as possible and it causes the a strong wind all around her. Leaves go everywhere and trees bend, and one of the largest trees actually gets pulled out of the ground.
A witches magic works with her emotions. Since Bea felt the loss of her father so harshly, after meeting him for the first time in her sixteen years of life, the pain of it closed her magic inside of her. It was the reason why she felt the harsh pain all those weeks.
