Elias Stone loves animals. Ever since he was a little boy, he and his family had adopted so many animals that they had to move to the outskirts of New York City to a larger house with a larger terrain. And he loved his home, until he graduated high school. 

With a magnificent GPA and a love for animals, Elias Stone got into Columbia University for Biochemistry, then make his way to Veterinary school at Cornell. As a man who wants to help the animals of the world, he's keen to keep his grades intact and to make his grandfather proud. The problem with that is that Elias likes men, and his grandfather is a proud homophobic who has no idea Elias participates at Pride Parades in full rainbow outfits. He's terrified for his grandfather to find out.

He knew he was gay as a boy, but he didn't want to be that. He prayed and prayed for God to make him straight, because that was acceptable.

In order to calm himself from oncoming family visits or him having to go back to Ithaca to visit them, he strolls around NYC with his trusty partner, Lou. Lou, being Elias trusty four-legged friend, decides that it's best to run free. He doesn't like leashes, so why not pull away from his friend and run away because, well, he's a shitty person. So, Lou runs and Elias follows while screaming and chaos ensues. 

Lou ends up sniffing and playing with a lovely and cheerful Bull Terrier that was being walked by a handsome boy (ooh-la-la). So, Elias grabs Lou and furiously apologises to this mysterious stranger and the stranger is laughing and being cool and then just leans down and pets Lou with one hand while the other pets his own dog and is all lovable towards Lou and Elias is like "man of my dreams."

Elias introduces himself, and Tom introduces himself, and Lou and Tessa introduce themselves to each other by playing. Tom, loving Tessa a lot, decides that their dogs should have a play date. Elias agrees, one reason being because Lou needs another dog friend other than the damn chihuahua from his next door neighbour and because he wants to see this Tom again. 

Doggy dates, walking their dogs, and when they're together tHEY GET A DOG.

Since Elias's grandfather doesn't know he's gay, he decides to come out at a big family reunion. His family means the world to him. A large majority of them accept him for who he is, and even his aunts are like "oh thank god you finally came out we had been holding that in for so long now we can introduce you to this boy he's so nice and goes to our church and you should meet him." His grandfather is homophobic, so he slaps Elias and says that he is no grandson of his. 

Elias's grandfather means the world to him. He didn't have a father growing up because he died while his mother was pregnant with him, so his grandfather stepped in to be that role and lived with his mother and him since his wife died from cancer. His acceptance means the world to Elias, so when his grandfather doesn't accept him, Elias returns back to NYC and closes himself off from everyone, including Tom. It gets worse when pictures of them get out to the public. 

He didn't know Tom was famous because he paid more attention to his studies than movies, but Tom tells him a few weeks after they meet because people are following behind them. Elias accepts that, thinks it's cool, but worries him because what the hell is he supposed to do? Fans being fans send him hate, to the point where he has to make all of his Instagram account private. 

Elias is soft. He's bright and happy and wants the best for everyone, but he also thinks that he doesn't deserve happiness. 

Eventually, his grandfather begins to accept him for who he is. It'll take time, because he's old and loves church and y'all know how close-minded a lot of those people are. But, Elias is his only grandson, and he doesn't want to lose him for something he cannot control. So, they make up, Elias introduces him to Tom, and Grandpa Stone is like "if you hurt my boy, I will hurt you." Elias is like "oh my god" and Tom's like "okay. I promise I'll never hurt him!"

Basically, it's about two boys whose love story begin because of their dogs.

This is also a social media story since there will be a lot of texting, and a lot of IG posts about dogs and food and studies and animals. Mostly social media, but there's also real life story flowing about Elias and his family and his studies.
