DRUIG LAZILY GOT OUT of his bed as he welcomed the warm sun that beamed on his face, ready for his usual schedule with the village. Not a single day has gone by that Druig hasn't missed Seidon. She was always in his thoughts and he was never the same without her.

His smiles were dimmer, the way his fellow family members would talk about her, made Druig leave the room, tears threatening to spill. One time, Kingo accidentally brought up Seidon over the phone, making Druig immediately hang up and fall into a deep wave of misery. Druig has never met anyone else, his mind was constantly on Seidon, not wanting to fall in love with anybody else.

Meanwhile, as Druig was walking around his village, he bid good morning to his fellow neighbors, the morning sun of the Amazon beaming in his face brighter than usual. Over the years Druig was alive, he noticed the beauty of humanity, seeing their good side rather than their negative one.

He tried to focus on the more peaceful aspects of how humanity has grown on earth, and despite the downfalls, he couldn't be prouder of the mortals. One of the most intriguing things Druig thought was innovative, was technology.

Of course, with the help of Phastos, technology has grown to many conveniences for humans—but Druig decided to step away from it. Druig didn't think he needed technology so he secluded a majority of his life from it. He would rather enjoy nature on Earth instead of staring at a screen.

The only time he would use it was to watch Kingo's movies or to get in touch with his family members—but that rarely ever happened.

Druig turned his attention to one of his neighbors who answered his phone. He absentmindedly ignored it—but when Druig felt someone tap his shoulder, he turned around, tilting his head slightly in confusion.

"Señor, es para ti." (Sir, it's for you)

Still hesitant of who would call him, Druig's curiosity piqued as he slowly grabbed the cellular device out of the man's hand, putting the phone next to his ear.

"Hello?" Druig answered hesitantly—but when he heard the familiar voice to his fellow Eternal, his stiffened shoulders loosened imperceptibly.

"My God, you really need to get your own phone, Druig. It's the twenty-first century," Sprite said snappily at the raven-haired Eternal. Druig let out a stifled laugh before answering Sprite.

"Funny you should say that because last time I checked, this was Sersi's phone, number," Druig retaliated, hearing faint mumbles on the other end of the line.

"So why did you call me Sprite?" Druig's voice was now serious, curious as to why she would call him out of nowhere without any notice.

Silence filled both lines of the phones. Druig quickly looked at the screen to see if Sprite accidentally hung up on him—but when he saw the line was still connected, he spoke again.

"Sprite, what is it?" Druig's voice was more concerned, his heart speeding faster in fear of what was to come next.

"Phastos ran into Seidon." Sprite's voice was wary, not sure how Druig was going to react. The Eternals have seen Druig angry before and it did not end well for any of them. The only person who was successfully able to calm him down was Seidon.

"W-What? He saw her? No, no, that's impossible. Sprite, I swear if you're messing with me, I will-"

"Druig, it was her. Phastos was able to sense her powers. She still doesn't remember anything." Druig couldn't comprehend the incredulous words that came out of Sprite's mouth. All those years ago, Druig saw Seidon's dead body right in front of him, her gray skin cold to the touch. There was no way she could be alive now and Druig wouldn't want to bring his hopes up again.

"Hello, Druig are you still there?" Druig was so caught up in his mind, he forgot Sprite was on the other end of the line for a second.

"O-Oh, I'm still here. Now, are you sure this was Seidon? Please don't let me get my hopes up." Sprite has never heard this tone of voice before from Druig, his voice was shaky and vulnerable.

"Yes, it really was her. Phastos confirmed it."

"Then I must see her now."

"No, you can't. Phastos said we shouldn't interfere. He said she looked happy." Druig had to admit, when he heard that Seidon was happy without him, he felt a pang in his heart. Sure, she couldn't remember him—but Druig was determined to find his way back to the love of his life.

"The hell I can't. Seidon is—was my girlfriend, honestly, I consider her as my wife and I haven't seen her in over five centuries, so there is no way I'm going to just sit here and do nothing."

Hearing a sigh on the other end of the line, Druig stood silent, attempting to control his anxious breathing at the same time.

"Fine, I can't control what you do—but I'm just saying, Phastos said she looked happy and was finally living a somewhat normal life. Maybe this is what she needs." Before Druig could respond back, Sprite hung up the phone, leaving Druig in the middle of the Amazon, giving back the phone to the man he borrowed it from.

When Sprite said that, he started to reconsider if he should really pay Seidon a visit or not. Sprite saying that Seidon was happy, made Druig smile—but he was upset that he wasn't the cause of her happiness.

But Druig didn't care anyway. He needed to see Seidon, even if it was for a second.

Druig arrived in Chicago not too long after he heard about Seidon. He wore his black leather jacket, the zippers undone to be more comfortable on the ride over to the city. As Druig strolled peacefully in the cool night breeze, Druig heard the vicarious thoughts of women on the street, in awe of the eternal as they attempted to flirt with their eyes.

But Druig did not pay attention at all to them as he desperately wanted to find the one true love he has been longing to see. There was a connection that Druig was able to sense whenever he and Seidon were together.

He wasn't sure if she was still able to feel it—but Druig knew his body would become more relaxed at the presence of her.

And that presence was right in front of him.

Druig lifted his head up hesitantly, still scared of what he was about to see—but when he saw Seidon, a smile spread widely across her face, Druig couldn't help but reciprocate the smile. Seeing her alive and well, made Druig let out a small tear of joy.

It was at this moment, Druig decided he would not interfere with the wonderful life she has built for herself. After giving one last look at Seidon's beauty, Druig turned away and walked off to God knows where finally letting out a breath he didn't know he was holding.

But as Druig walked away, Seidon turned her head in the same direction of where Druig was previously standing, feeling that someone was watching her.

And little did Seidon know, the presence she felt in the back of her head, was going to change her life forever
