[SEASON 2: EPISODE 3]
MAKING her way to the dojo, Katherine saw Robby and Sam practicing the wheel technique. She took a sip of her coffee as she saw Sam get a hit in. "Remember, keep moving in a circle."
"You know, I did make it to the All Valley finals." Robby smiled.
"That's just cause you didn't have to get through me." Sam sassed. Robby chuckled as Sam caught sight of Kat, her expression slightly dimming. "Hey, Kat." She greeted.
Robby turned around and his eyes visibly lit up.
"Hey, guys." Katherine stepped down and finished her coffee before setting it down as well.
"Hey, I wanna thank you." Robby looked at Katherine.
"For what?"
"Last week, I had no hot water. This week, I have a Jacuzzi in my backyard."
"Well, I wouldn't get too excited. We did find a dead possum in there."
"Seriously. Thank you. It's been a little rough lately and it's nice to have people look out for you."
"That's what friends do." Katherine shrugged with a smile on her face.
"Not all friends." Robby replied. But before the conversation could continue, Daniel came.
"All right, guys. Enough chitchat. Let's see where you're at."
Sam and Robby started doing the wheel technique when two people came. "Good afternoon." Daniel greeted them.
"Hey, uh, we're looking for Miyagi-Do." One of them says.
"You're in the right place." Daniel smiled.
"Commercial said lessons are free?"
"They sure are. You guys ready to get started?" They both nodded, "great. I have a couple cans of paint out front. The fence back here could use a fresh coat. Robby will show you." Daniel instructed.
They both frowned, "you want us to paint your fence?"
"Keep an open mind, guys. It'll all make sense later." Robby informed.
"In order to fully learn Miyagi-Do karate, you have to unlearn your misconceptions about what constitutes training." Daniel tried to explain.
"I knew this was bullshit. This was all just some scam to get kids to do your yard work, huh?"
Daniel quickly shook his head. "No, no. This is all part of the process."
"Yeah, the process. My mom was right. With car salesmen, you always gotta read the fine print."
Katherine scowled. "What kind of bullshit saying is that?" She muttered under her breath.
"I'm not trying to sell you anything. I'm trying to teach you karate."
"Come on. Let's go check out that place with the snake."

DANIEL had decided to do a demo at Valley Fest to get more students. So, the next day, Katherine, Samantha and Robby were practicing their demonstration. Sam was watching both Katherine and Robby with a slightly glum look when Daniel came over to them.
"Hey guys. Thanks for doing this. How you feeling?"
"It's a little short notice, but I think we got it." Robby said.
"I was thinking for the finale, I could do some kinda flip kick." Samantha declared, looking at Daniel.
"Nah, don't worry about the finale. I got it covered." Daniel said with a small shake of his head.
"What's that for?" Robby pointed at something in the back.
"That?" Daniel picked up a large piece of ice from the cooler. "You'll see."

"COMING up next, do I have a treat for you. Please direct your attention to the LaRusso Auto Group for a presentation from Miyagi-Do Karate." The crowd applauds as everyone turns to face them. Sam, Robby and Kat started doing their demonstration, soon ending and bowing to the audience.
The crowd cheers and they did their presentation with the bo stick with Daniel, and then bowing to the audience once again.
"Now time for the grand finale." Daniel started to bring a cart in, shards of ice on it when the system powered down.
"Cobra Kai! Cobra Kai! Cobra Kai! Cobra Kai! Cobra Kai!"
"What the hell is going on here?" Daniel said as Cobra Kai started doing their own presentation.
Katherine's stomach dropped when everyone started cheering louder.
"Cobras! Show them what real karate looks like." Came Johnny's voice.
After Aisha kicking boards blindfolded and throwing Cobra Kai towels, Johnny stood with a bunch of bricks in front of him.
"Cobras. Light it up."
They lit the bricks on fire, and without hesitation, Johnny punched through the bricks, eliciting in everyone to cheer so loudly Katherine thought her ears might pop out.
"Cobra Kai! Cobra Kai! Cobra Kai!"
All the students stood next to Johnny and when Eli glanced over, he made eye contact with Katherine.
She simply shook her head in disappointment.
Guilt filled his eyes and he looked away from her.
Katherine couldn't believe Cobra Kai ruined their demonstration.
