[SEASON 1: EPISODE 3]

"CYBERBULLYING is no laughing matter." Counselor Blatt announced, "sending a cruel message to someone online can be just as hurtful as saying it to their face. I'm not gonna name names, but the other day, a mother called me up because her son was crying after some kids online made fun of his facial deformity."

Katherine scoffed at her poor choice of words.

Students started whispering about Eli as Counselor Blatt continued, "but today, our goal here is to make this school a safe space for all students."

"You know, if you're sick of getting bullied, my karate dojo's looking for recruits." Miguel said, looking at Demetri and Eli.

"Yeah, right. You hear that, Eli? A little karate training, and you're gonna kick some major ass." Demetri sarcastically stated.

"I'm serious, Demetri. My sensei's the real deal. I'm sure I could get you both discounts."

"As enticing as that sounds, I think we'd rather spend our afternoons playing Crucible Control than getting hit in the face."

Katherine rolled her eyes, "You need to do something with your life."

Miguel nodded, agreeing with Kat as Blatt spoke again, "oh, and one last thing. While we're all looking forward to the Halloween dance, let's make sure our costumes are culturally sensitive. For example, instead of 'sexy nurse,' maybe try, 'gender-neutral hospital employee.'"

Katherine scoffed, "like anyone's actually going to listen to that."

"You know, you should be a sexy nurse for Halloween." Miguel stated playfully.

Katherine looked at him with raised eyebrows, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "You're sooo funny."

"I know, right?"

Eli and Demetri laughed at the two.

"I MEAN, I feel bad for Aisha, but at the same time, I don't wanna dress up as a molecular compound." Samantha complained as they were all eating dinner together.

"I totally get it, but just because you guys aren't wearing the same costume, doesn't mean you can't hang out at the dance together." Amanda reassured, Sam nodding in agreement.

"Speaking of the dance, I got an email from the school. They're looking for chaperones. They seem pretty desperate." Daniel spoke up from his seat beside Sam.

"Yeah, no kidding. Who wants to spend their Friday night in a sweaty gym?" Amanda asked.

"You're off the hook. I said I'd do it."

Sam dropped her fork at the same time Kat said, "what?"

Daniel's eyes flickered between the two sisters, "what? Come on. Counselor Blatt and I go way back. I couldn't leave her hanging."

"Dad, seriously? You want to spend your Friday night in a gym full of horny teenagers?" Katherine retorted.

Sam nodded, though Daniel didn't back down. Sam looked towards Amanda, "Mom?"

"Come on, Daniel. Would you want one of your parents at your high school dance?"

"My mom drove me on dates, ok?" He said. Katherine snorted, "yeah? And how'd that go?"

"This is so not fair." Sam leaned back on her chair, clearly irritated. "You won't even notice me. I'll be a ghost." Daniel said in reassurance.

"Ghosts are lame." Anthony spoke up.

"You have such horrible timing." Katherine squinted her eyes at the boy. Daniel nodded, "yeah, I'm not talking about a costume. It's just an expression."

"Just promise me you won't embarrass me." Samantha sighed, looking at him.

"I promise." Daniel confirmed with a nod.

"Why did that sound so sarcastic?" Katherine bluntly said as Amanda tried to cover her laugh, smacking Kat's shoulder playfully.

AT the Halloween dance, Katherine dressed up as a vampire. She entered the gym filled with students, and spotted her two best friends. She made her way over them, "cool costumes."

"Thanks. You look great, too. You're a vampire?" Demetri raised an eyebrow, earning a nod from the girl. Soon, Miguel approached them and Demetri spoke again. "Oh, skeleton. Classic. Nice."

"Thanks. I like your sorcerer costume." Miguel smiled.

Katherine snickered and Demetri smacked her shoulder. "Sorcerer?" He scoffed, "Please. I'm a necromancer." He started pointing to his face as Miguel's face turned into one of confusion.

"What?"

"Didn't you see The Amulet?"

Miguel shook his head before turning to Katherine. "I like your vampire costume."

"Thanks, I like yours too." Katherine smiled warmly as Miguel then turned to Eli. "So, are you a regular doctor, or―"

"Plastic surgeon. I fix lips." Eli cut him off.

"Nice."

"All right, y'all. We're about to switch it up." The DJ said through the mic, and the song switches.

ALL of them were standing by the drinks table, slurping on their punch. "Ok, are we ready? Let's ask the dragon queens to dance." Miguel spoke up after a moment of silence.

"Slow your roll, we got time." Demetri responded just as someone asked one of the 'dragon queens' to dance.

"Why does that guy look like he's 30?" Katherine asked in confusion, leaning towards Eli. He laughed quietly in response, shrugging.

"Shit! We just lost one to Doctor Who." Miguel groaned.

"I have to go to the bathroom." Eli stated after a couple of seconds.

"Yeah, me too. That punch is going right through me." Demetri agreed.

"Seriously?" Kat said in disbelief. They all smiled sheepishly and then walked out of the gym. "Traitors!" Was the last thing Kat yelled before she made her way over to Aisha.

"Hey, Aisha. I love your costume."

"Hey, Kat. Thanks. I love yours, too. Figured you'd come as a vampire since you watched 'The Vampire Diaries,' like, a thousand times." Aisha replied.

Katherine groaned playfully. "You know me too well."

Aisha laughed, "hey, I feel like we should hang out more. It's been way too long."

"Yeah, for sure. I'd love to."

Aisha opened her mouth to speak, when a notification ding ran through both of their ears, and soon, the whole gym was looking at their phones, laughing.

Reaching to get her phone, Katherine's face turned into one of horror as she saw what Yasmine sent to everyone. Looking up, Aisha muttered a small 'sorry' before quickly rushing out of the gym.

Katherine stormed up to Yasmine, getting in her face. "What the fuck is your problem, Yasmine? Do you really have nothing better to do?"

Yasmine looked at her irritatedly, her mouth opening to retort. But before she could get a word in, Katherine turned to her younger sister. "And you? I thought Aisha was your friend. Now, you're hanging around bitches like Yasmine?"

Samantha nearly flinched at her older sister's scolding. She was about to speak when Katherine shook her head in disappointment, walking away.

WHEN Katherine, Samantha and Daniel made it back home, Katherine immediately started running upstairs. The whole ride home, Katherine had stayed silent, refusing to acknowledge anything Sam had to say.

Samantha followed her, "Kat, I didn't know Yas was gonna do that, I swear."

Katherine entered her room, about to close the door when she turned around to face Sam with a tired look. "Look, Sam. Let's just talk about it tomorrow. I'm really tired and I wanna get some sleep."

Samantha nodded sadly, walking back to her room while Kat closed the door, taking her costume off. She strode inside the bathroom and took off her makeup, brushing her teeth and washing her face. Once she walked out of the bathroom and closed the door, she jumped on the bed. Katherine pulled on her comforters, and when her head hit the pillow, she was out like a light.

I was feeling energetic so I just made it.

I'm really tired now, my goal is to make the third and the fourth chapter. And if I can, I'll try to make the fifth one as well!!!!!!!!!!!
