[SEASON 5: EPISODE 7]

 "HEY, I feel like its been a thousand years since we last talked." Katherine strode up to where Isaiah was. He set his water bottle down in his bag and looked up at her, a smile forming on his face. "Hey."

"How are you? It must be pretty hard considering Tory's still in Cobra Kai. How is she, by the way?" She asked, brows furrowing in curiosity. She hasn't talked to Tory ever since the tournament, and she couldn't deny that she was worried about her.

"Oh yeah. I'm fine, and Tory's coping. I'm trying to help her, with everything she's got going on, you know?" Isaiah replied, a slight saddened look flickering across his face which didn't go unnoticed by Katherine. She nodded, sighing, "yeah. She's literally getting lessons by a lunatic."

Isaiah laughed slightly, looking down. "That's true," he looked back up at her, "how are you doing? Sam told me you haven't been..." he slightly furrowed his brows, trying to find the right words to go with, "well after the tournament. I also heard you and Robby broke up."

Kat looked down at her feet, taking a deep breath. She had been hoping that he wouldn't ask her about that, because she didn't really know how to answer.

She thought about the right words to say, deciding whether to mask it up or actually tell him about it.

"I've been okay. I'm taking some time to myself, and it's been pretty well. Once I saw Sam figuring herself out, I thought that I should have that time too." Were the words Kat decided to say.

Luckily, Isaiah understood seeing as he nodded. Before he could get a word in, Chozen yelled, "line up!" On his spot on the sparring deck. All the students made their way over, "so where are my dad and Johnny?" Samantha asked. "Not here. Today, you train with me." Chozen replied and then said something in Japanese, yet no one knew what it meant as they all just stood there. "Attention." He clarified before speaking in Japanese once again.

Seeing all of the confused faces, he sighed, "bow." They all bowed as Chozen continued, "Cobra Kai gaining ground. We must prepare. Come." He went around a table that was filled with all sorts of weapons.

"This is gonna be badass. Check out that throwing knife." Mitch muttered to Chris excitedly. "Now, we learn about Yanbaru Kuina." Chozen declared.

"What is that? Like, some top-secret karate move?" Chris asked from behind Samantha. "Like a throat rip?" He continued, imitating choking sounds. "No. It is bird. In English called Okinawa rail. Endangered. Cannot fly." Chozen said, glancing at all of the students.

"Hence, endangered." Demetri said. Chozen pulled out a tray of eggs from beneath the table and placed it on top. He took off the small cloth that was on top of it, "so these are the real eggs?" Miguel gestured towards it.

"No. Trader Joe's. $3.29." Chozen replied, before gesturing to the students to grab one. "Take egg." They all grabbed one, as Katherine asked, handing Robby an egg. "So, what exactly do we do with them?"

"Yanbaru Kuina must protect egg. From Kume Shima habu. Poison snake. You must do same." He flipped the hourglass that was on the table upside down. "Begin your preparation."

"What are we protecting them from?" Robby asked from beside Katherine, holding up his egg. "From me." Chozen took out two weapons and struck them at the students without actually throwing it, before pulling it back, "go! Go!" He yelled.

The group of students immediately started rushing away, "I see many little birds, spread in wind!" Chozen yelled before taking out a small knife, "many dead eggs."

Katherine decided to put it in her back pocket of her pants whilst Samantha put it inside her bag. "You should put it behind your back. Leaves your hands free to defend." Sam advised to Anthony, pulling her bag on. "Okay, but I don't even know how to use my hands yet." He replied.

"Didn't dad teach you wax-on-wax-off?" Katherine questioned with furrowed brows as she looked at her younger brother.

He looked at her, "actually, I paid a guy to wash the cars. It- it doesn't matter. I'm starting from square zero."

"Well, think of it this way. You used your mind to outwit the obstacle." She said, before another voice entered, "that's what Miyagi-Do's all about." Robby walked over to them. "Hey." Katherine greeted, smiling up at him. "Hey." He said back. "Deja vu having you back here." Samantha piped up.

Robby smiled at her before looking back at Katherine, "I like what you've done with the place. How many times did your dad make you sand that sparring deck?" He pointed towards it. "Zero, actually. 'Cause your dad bought a power sander. I'm actually really glad I didn't have to sand it." Katherine laughed.

Robby laughed as well, "ah, sounds like him."

A whistle was then heard from Chozen as Katherine approached Demetri, Eli and Miguel, "looks like the Hunger Games have begun. Luckily, I have eggs-ecuted the perfect plan. When I win, everyone will have egg on their face. They'll be shell-shocked. The yolk will be-" Katherine cut Demetri off before he could explain any further, "I think we get it. What's your master plan?"

Demetri looked at her with raised eyebrows, "I'm glad you asked," he took something out, "I have created a protective covering. I made it out of college prep book for blunt force impact, and I tied the whole thing together with an old spool of dental floss and," he lifted his left shoe up, "my left shoelace. Yep. It's pretty durable." He placed the egg inside before placing it on top of the wooden pole.

"How did you have time to build that?" Katherine asked, slightly shocked as she gestured towards it.

Before he could answer, a knife was thrown through it, and the egg yolk spilled all over. Miguel, Eli and Katherine each exchanged a look before they all ran away in separate directions.

KATHERINE watched as Robby buried his egg into the ground, covering it with the soil. "Are you sure that's gonna..." Kat trailed off as she caught sight of Chozen standing with a weapon in hand. Robby turned around and before either of them could do anything, Chozen stabbed the weapon through the soil, crushing the egg underneath.

Reaching her pocket for the egg, Katherine only found that it was empty. Her eyes widened when Chozen held it up in the air, crushing it casually in his hand before throwing the remnants to the ground.

"How did you even-" Katherine got cut off by Chozen who simply walked away.

The two shared a look before going on the sparring deck where Demetri and a few other students were.

Soon, Eli walked up to the sparring deck. "How'd he take you out?" Robby asked him. "Shut up. Don't talk to me." Eli crossed his arms over his chest.

Robby sighed, "dude, if this is about the mohawk, I'm sorry. But if anybody knows how Cobra Kai can turn you into an asshole, it's you."

Katherine looked at the two of them before shaking her head in disappointment. "Oh, so I'm an asshole?" Eli turned to Robby, "yeah, well, let's see," Robby started counting with his fingers, "uh, you attacked me and Kat at the mall," he pointed to Demetri who was beside Kat, "you broke Demetri's arm," he gestured around the dojo, "you trashed this entire dojo."

"Can you please just stop it?" "Guys, enough. Enough! All right?" Katherine and Demetri said at the same time. The two turned to them while Demetri continued, "you're both ex-assholes now. Great. Can we focus on the issue at hand? There is a madman out there using weapons on us." He flailed his hands about as Kat looked at him with her eyebrows raised, "talk about dramatic."

"Who's even left?" Chris asked, glancing around.

AFTER a while, Chozen had crushed everyone's eggs. They were all standing around a deck whilst Chozen was crouching down, frying an egg in a pan. "You are not good Yanbaru Kuina," he stood up, "snakes will take you down one by one. I have tried to tell you what you must do. But you do not listen. You must learn to adapt. Or soon, you will be extinct. Take new eggs. Try again."

Katherine sighed before making her way over and grabbing the tray of eggs that was sitting on the corner of the deck, walking back to the group, holding the tray out. They all took one each as Demetri started to speak, "Sensei Toguchi's real cryptic, like Mr. LaRusso, but aggressive like Sensei Lawrence."

Chris looked at him, "it's like the hardest part of both styles."

"Can't wait to get our asses kicked again." Mitch muttered sarcastically. Everyone started turning away, but then Anthony started speaking up, "uh, no. No, um... G-Guys, uh, wait."

They all turned around to face him as he continued to explain, "he said that the snakes will take us down one by one. Right? Just like he took us down one by one, but..." he paused, "but what if we weren't a bunch of ones? You know, like what if we were..."

Katherine caught onto what he was saying and finished him off, "together."

"Yeah, exactly." Anthony pointed in her direction. "Like, um, a raiding party in Dungeon Lords."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah! I mean, even if you're a level 85, you can't mount an attack on the grand realm alone." Demetri said. "Exactly, you need a team. And everybody has a special role." Eli continued. "We have to do this together." Isaiah nodded along.

"The only way we win is if we work together. As one." Anthony concluded. Soon after, all of them got on the sparring deck. They had put all of the eggs inside a basket, and then they all stood in front of it, basically guarding the basket. "So we're sure we want to put all our eggs in one basket? You're specifically not supposed to do that." Demetri glanced at all of them. "Dude, you said that, like, a thousand times already." Isaiah looked at him skeptically.

"Just making sure." Demetri muttered. "This is gonna work." Anthony finalized. A whistle was heard just like the last time. "Oh no, oh no, Oh God." Mitch panicked.

"Get it together, penis breath." Eli sighed. "Has anyone seen him yet?" Sam asked. "Oh shit." Miguel breathed out, spotting Chozen who was running towards them with a bo stick in hand. "Ready!" Miguel yelled.

Chozen struck the stick at them, and they all blocked it. "Get the bo. Get it, get him!" Demetri yelled. All of them grabbed a hold of the stick, trying to pry it out of Chozen's hands. "Come on." Eli said as Demetri finally pulled it out. Chozen was on the floor and he tried getting to the eggs when Anthony had blocked him. He stood up, and Sam sent a kick. The two started fighting when Miguel also started attacking. Chozen had pushed Miguel and Sam away when Robby and Katherine exchanged a look, the two starting to attack as well. Chozen managed to push Katherine away which made Eli come in. Robby and Eli both kicked Chozen and he stumbled back.

They all stood around the basket in their fighting position while Chozen stood in front of them, trying to go around them but they managed to block his way. "Snake concede." He spoke after a while.

"Dude, it worked!" Eli yelled cheerfully as him and Anthony shared a hug. All of them rushed to Anthony, hugging him as well.

Chozen clapped, a proud glint flickering in his eyes. "This is what we have that Cobra Kai does not," he spoke, "their movement mile wide, but only inch deep. But our movement, inch wide, but mile deep. Now that you have learned to work together, I will teach you how to master your defense."

"TODAY was pretty hard." Robby commented as him and Katherine took a walk. They both made plans after the lesson. First, the two had gotten some lunch together before going to random stores.

"I agree. To be honest, I never thought my brother would come up with a great idea." Katherine replied, sipping her drink.

Robby nodded, "me neither," he furrowed his brows slightly as he looked up, "I think it's starting to rain."

Robby watched Katherine's blue eyes widen in excitement, "really? I love when it rains." She looked around, feeling tiny droplets of water on her skin. Robby laughed, before he realized something. He took out a small black box and held it out. "Oh yeah. I got this for you a while ago. I was gonna give it to you, but then we..." he trailed off.

"Broke up." Katherine finished. She cleared her throat before gently taking the box, opening it. Inside, laid a beautiful gold necklace. It was shaped in a half moon, a small star sitting on the bottom. "Robby, this is beautiful. Thank you." She spoke, her eyes sparkling.

Robby watched her with a soft smile on his face. He loved making her happy. He loved the way her blue eyes would sparkle.

"Do you want me to put it on you?" He asked, arching a brow. Katherine looked up at him, almost instantly nodding. She gently took the necklace out of the box, and gave it to Robby. His fingers grasped it as she turned around, hands going around to move her hair away from her neck.

Her breath hitched when she felt Robby's fingers on her neck, placing the necklace around. He clasped it closed, and that's when the rain slightly got heavier.

Kat turned around to see Robby already staring at her. His green eyes lit up at the sight of the necklace hanging around her neck. The two seem to have been lost in each other's eyes seeing as they were basically staring at each other.

Robby's green eyes flickered to every delicate feature of her face. To her blue eyes, her plump lips. He could've sworn he could see light freckled sprinkled across her cheeks.

Katherine's blue eyes trailed across his face. She noticed every time he caught sight of her, his green eyes would light up. She loved getting lost in them. It was as if she was staring into something so beautiful, that she couldn't ever take her eyes away from it.

The rain poured heavier around them, but the sound fell on deaf ears. They could feel their clothes starting to get wet, but neither of them cared. Katherine was so gonna scream at herself for letting her curls get ruined in the rain.

But right now, she didn't care. All she was focused on was Robby standing in front of her. Slowly, his hand reached out and found its spot on her cheek, caressing it softly. "I know you wanted time to yourself," he started. His voice was barely above a whisper.

Robby didn't want to force Katherine into anything. He didn't want to make her feel like she was being forced into a relationship. He wanted to give her as much time she needed to figure herself out.

But before he could say anything further, she stepped forward and locked her lips with his. The kiss was soft, but it was making the two yearn for more. It ignited a fire that they both couldn't contain.

It was like all of the unspoken words were being spilled into that kiss. Everything Katherine wanted to say was in that kiss. Everything Robby wanted to say was in that kiss.

Katherine placed her hands around his neck, her fingers tangling themselves in his brown wet hair.

The rain seemed to have poured heavier because the two of them were drenched in water. After what seemed like hours, the two finally pulled away. "I think I'm ready now." She confirmed, nodding to herself mostly.

"Are you sure? I don't want to-" Katherine cut Robby off, "Robby, I want to be with you. I feel like I'm ready and that I've figured myself out."

He smiled, grabbing both of her hands softly. "Okay. If you want to do this, then we will. I want to be with you too, Kat, but I don't want you to feel like you're forced into this relationship."

"I want to be with you, Robby. I don't know if I can wait any longer." She shrugged slightly. "Me neither." Robby spoke after a few seconds.

They smiled at each other, sharing another kiss. "Hey, can I cut your hair?" Katherine blurted out once they pulled away.

Robby's eyes widened in shock at her question before he squinted his green eyes, "are you a hair stylist?"

"No, but I promise it won't be horrible." She raised her eyebrows, trying to sound convincing. Robby laughed, shaking his head, "nice try. I think I like my hair they way it is."

"Come on, pleaseeee." She insisted. Robby looked at her, raising his brows. After a few seconds, he shook his head, "no."

"I don't like you." She huffed, crossing her arms.

"That sounds like a you problem," Robby retorted teasingly.

SMACK

"Ow!" Robby complained, rubbing his arm.

"That's what you get."

A/N: OH MY GODDDDDDDDD😭😭😭😭 sorry it took like a thousand years for me to finally post a chapter.

i was in the US. shopping.

LOVED writing the ending of the chapter, i don't know what's gotten into me. i feel like its one of the best scenes ive written, like ever.

besides from the scene with noah and lilah, that scene had my heart melting as well. anyway, ill try and update tmrw but idk bc my mommy always plans things last minute 🤷‍♀️
