[SEASON 6: EPISODE 9]

"WE'RE back, bitches, eager to kick ass." Johnny announced, walking into the room with Miguel and Kenny trailing behind, bags in hand. "Who's ready to win this thing?" The blond glanced at everyone's glum looks―Terry Silver was back. "What crawled up everyone's butts?"

Kat put her duffle bag on the bed beside Demetri, who was sitting on the bed―watching Kenny and Devon interact. He nudged the brunette, "if Miguel's back, why is Kenny here?"

"Oh, 'cause he's taking Devon's spot," Eli jumped in the conversation.

"What, so he just forgave her all of a sudden? After what she did?" Demetri scoffed, "I don't buy it." He then stood up, facing Katherine, "Kat, as our only captain without a soft spot for Kenny, I feel obligated to inform you that we may have a potential traitor in our midst."

The LaRusso looked back at Kenny and Devon, then turned back to Demetri. "I don't think Kenny's a traitor. You shouldn't be making assumptions."

"I'm not saying it's happened yet. All I'm saying is we know that Silver's gonna cheat. The only question is, how?" He glanced over Kat's shoulder, looking directly at Kenny.

The brunette shook her head lightly, "come on, Demetri."

The boy shrugged in response before Katherine spotted Robby sitting on the bed, and she made her way towards him. Robby glanced up at her when she sat down beside him. "Hi."

"Hi." Robby responded with a small smile.

Kat took a deep breath before gathering the courage to face him completely, "Robby, I'm really sorry for lashing out on you. I don't know why that happened, but I definitely shouldn't have snapped at you. Now, I feel horrible for hurting you like that and I just had to―"

Robby cut her off by placing a soft kiss to her lips. He pulled away after a few seconds, "it's okay, Kat," he took both her hands in his, "if anything, I understand."

A smile broke out on her lips, "I love you."

Robby smiled as well, "I love you too."

"TOP eight dojos, welcome to our final group event," Gunther announced from the podium, "over the course of the tournament, you have each proven yourselves worthy of your place atop the leaderboard. And after today, only the best of the best will gain entry into our tournament of champions."

"Now, here are the rules for this round. Each team will face three opponents, determined by random draw, in an all-dojo tag team competition! Two fighters inside the ring. One from each dojo at a time. The other fighters remain outside, waiting to be tagged in by their teammate."

"Fighting will be continuous. No stoppages, no timeouts. So use your teammates wisely. The first dojo to score three points wins the match. By the end of today, your captains will either be fighting in the tournament of champions or be eliminated, watching from the sidelines. May the best dojos win." Gunther concluded.

Luckily, Miyagi-Do wasn't competing with Cobra Kai or Iron Dragons. Instead, they were fighting Furia de Pantera. Demetri was the first one in the circle, fighting their team captain, Diego. Demetri bowed at him, expecting him to do the same, but he didn't.

Demetri straightened up, and the two boys got in their fighting stance. "Fight!" The referee yelled.

Demetri started sending kicks to Diego, but he easily blocked them and moved away behind Demetri. When the Alexopoulos turned around, Diego threw a round kick to which Demetri blocked with both his forearms.

"Demetri. Hey, tag me in." Eli yelled from behind, holding his hand out.

"No! I got it!" The boy yelled in response, and quickly moved away when Diego lunged at him with another kick.

"Demetri, tag me in!" Eli yelled again. Demetri looked at him, "no!"

Seeing the opportunity, Diego kicked Demetri across the face, making the boy fall to the ground.

"Seriously?" Katherine muttered over to Demetri when he approached her, clapping her hand to tag her in. She made her way inside, throwing a kick to Diego but he moved away.

She tried going under and sweeping his legs, but he dodged it easily. Kat sent more attacks, which caused the boy to back away, "Maria," he said to the other captain and tagged her in.

Maria got inside the circle and started kicking and punching, hoping to land a hit on the LaRusso. But, Katherine managed to block all her hits, and kick the girl's shin which made her fall.

Maria got back up though, and sent punches. Kat blocked with one of her forearms, the other arm going to punch her ribs. "Yes!" Johnny yelled once the brunette hit the girl.

"Point! 1-1!" The referee announced.

Katherine turned around and clapped Hawk's hand. Maria also turned around and clapped another boy's hand in. The two made their way inside the circle, getting in their fighting position.

Hawk threw a kick, and the boy blocked it with his hand. Sending more punches, the opponent was able to dodge all of it and push Eli back, raising his legs to kick the Moskowitz.

Eli moved away when the other guy flipped over, sending more punches. The boy fell to the ground. "Hawk, tag me in." Kenny spoke.

"Eli, tag in Kenny." Katherine nodded in agreement.

Hawk looked over at Demetri who was denying it, shaking his head. "Hawk, what are you doing? Tag Kenny." Robby said to the boy.

"Come on!" Kenny yelled.

Yet he didn't listen and instead ran towards Isaiah, clapping his stretched out hand. "What are you doing?" The Walker asked, walking into the circle. He glanced back at Eli questioningly, and the other opponent managed to sweep Isaiah's legs.

He flipped over and crouched to the ground, punching Isaiah's chest to land a point.

"Point!"

Another girl from the other team was tagged in, and she immediately started throwing kicks at Isaiah once he stood up.

The Walker backed away, managing to block her hits. "Isaiah," Miguel spoke, holding his hand out.

Isaiah started running toward him and when he was about to hit his hand, another guy from the other team kicked Isaiah's hand away, punching his stomach.

"Point! Winner!"

"Team Pantera with an impressive victory. Miyagi-Do's loss puts them on the verge of elimination after their first match."

"Eli, why didn't you tag in Kenny when you had the chance?" Miguel told the boy, a hint of anger in his voice.

"He just got here. You expect us to trust him already?"

"What is wrong with you?" Katherine scowled once the group got into a circle.

"Trust me to what?" Kenny spoke up, having heard what Eli said. "Not get my ass kicked like you and Demetri?"

"Oh, yeah, like you'd do any better against Spanish Hawk." Demetri retorted.

"He probably would've done better." Katherine snapped, glaring at Demetri.

The boy scoffed at her in response, turning back to Kenny, "you completely disappeared after the Shittening. And then you coincidentally come back at the same time as Silver. You really want to tag in a mole?" He directed his question at Kat.

"Are you serious? I fly all the way back here to help us win, and you won't even give me a chance?" Kenny snapped back, stepping closer to Demetri. "Now, everybody laughed at me in the woods, but now somehow, I'm the bad guy, right?"

"See, he's still pissed," Eli cut in, "it makes sense why he'd want revenge."

"You seriously did not just say that." Katherine shook her head with a scoff, a look of disbelief plastered on her face.

"Say something, you―" Kenny started, stepping towards Eli when Isaiah cut in, darting his eyes between the two. "Hey! This isn't about Kenny. I'm the one who lost the match. Me." He pushed past the two, walking away.

"Isaiah." Miguel called out before following after him. Axel, in passing, purposely bumped into Miguel. "What the hell was that?" Miguel questioned as Sam approached. "I―I don't know." She replied.

Isaiah was practicing a few punches, when Miguel walked up to him. "Yo, Isaiah. What's going on?"

Isaiah turned around, "you can see what's going on. I'm completely screwing it up out there."

"That's not on you. That was a team loss. Okay? What's really going on? What happened while I was away?"

"A lot. Tory ended things. She hooked up with Kwon."

"What?" Miguel questioned incredulously.

"Yeah, and then I got drunk and did something stupid. I'm just―I'm blowing it on and off the mat." Isaiah scoffed at himself, "I shouldn't even be on this team."

Miguel instantly shook his head, "that's bullshit. You earned this spot. You're just in your head right now. I get it. Who wouldn't be? But the team is hanging on by a thread."

"Yeah, I know, but I just can't seem to do this. Every time I try, I just fail. It seems like all I'm good at doing is losing."

"That's more bullshit. Look, Isaiah, Barnes chose you for a reason. You're on this team for a reason. Okay? You fight for what you believe in, and you don't give up. Believe me, I've seen it. So this whole 'I don't deserve to be on this team' thing is...is―" Miguel paused, trying to find the right word.

"Bullshit?" Isaiah raised an eyebrow.

"Yes. You can do this, Isaiah. You just have to fight for what you believe in. Fight for yourself, or fight for anything else. You got this."

Isaiah nodded in understanding, "thanks, man."

"I got you," Miguel smiled before walking away.

Miguel spotted Robby talking to Katherine, and he made his way over. He wanted to apologize to Robby about their argument as well. "Hey, Robby, can I talk to you?" The couple glanced at him and Katherine nodded, walking away to give the two boys space.

"What's up?" Robby questioned.

"I just wanted to apologize about our argument a few days ago."

Robby took a deep breath, "no, I think you were right. You should've been captain."

Miguel shook his head, "you earned that spot. I told Isaiah this, but the team is hanging on by a thread. And we need a leader."

"Yeah, that's my point. I'm not it."

"Look, Robby, you led the charge for everyone to leave Silver. You got Kenny to Miyagi-Do. Like it or not, bro, you're a natural-born leader. So you need to stop with this whole 'I'm not a leader' thing. Lead us. And we'll follow. I'll follow. Even though I've been acting like an asshole to you before I left. It was just―it wasn't you."

"It's okay," Robby smiled.

"When the time is right, you're gonna step up. Like you always do. Like the leader you are." Miguel put a reassuring hand on Robby's shoulder.

"The next match between Cobra Kai and Tiger Strike will begin in fifteen minutes."

"TIGER STRIKE stays alive with their first win, while Cobra Kai tops to 1-1. Another loss, and Cobra Kai is out."

"So, we need to win this one to stay in the tournament," Daniel began, glancing at all of the students, "we know it's hard with Silver here, but we are not fighting his team right now."

"We've heard all this garbage going around about loyalty. Almost all of us trained somewhere else at some point. What matters is where our asses are now," Johnny spoke. "We're Miyagi-Do. Got it?"

"Come on, y'all. Let's go!" Miguel yelled in determination.

The next match was Miyagi-Do against Redentores. Miguel was the first one in the circle against another opponent. "Fight!" The referee yelled.

Miguel started attacking the other boy instantly, making him back away. Grabbing his shoulder, the Diaz began kneeing him in the stomach. He turned around to Robby, "it's time. Okay. You got this." He clapped Robby's hand.

The Keene walked inside the circle, starting to throw kicks to the opponent. He managed to kick the other guy's stomach.

"Point!"

Another fighter came inside the circle, and began kicking. Robby blocked all of it with his forearms, ducking under when the other guy flipped over him. "Robby, tag me!" Kenny yelled.

"No. Over here. Tag me, tag me!" Eli yelled, holding his hand out.

"Tag in Kenny!" Katherine yelled.

"Tag Kenny!" Miguel nodded in agreement.

"Do not tag Kenny. Do not tag him!" Demetri shouted in denial.

"Shut up, Demetri!" Katherine snapped at him.

After a moment, Robby raised his fists and went under the guy's arm when he tried to punch him. Robby ran toward Kenny, and clapped his hand in.

"Finally." Kenny said, going inside the circle.

"No, no!" Demetri groaned.

Kenny looked behind the guy and looked at Silver, exhaling deeply. "Ais!" He yelled before starting to throw punches at the opponent.

The boy spun around to kick Kenny, but he dodged it and instead jumped up, launching a punch and making the boy fall to the ground.

"Point!"

"Yes!" Robby yelled in triumph.

"Miyagi-Do, two!" The referee announced. Just then, Kenny made his way over to the opponent when he was about to stand up. Kenny punched him square in the jaw.

"Another point! Miyagi-Do wins!"

"Let's go!" Kenny cheered.

Making their way towards Kenny, Robby and Miguel lifted him up. "Let's go! Come on!" He looked at Silver, flipping the man off. Katherine laughed at the action.

"With the win, Miyagi-Do moves to 1-1. If they win their next match, they advance to the tournament of champions."

"Come on, baby!" Kenny yelled once again when Miguel and Robby placed him back on the ground.

"After the break, our final round. First match, Miyagi-Do versus Cobra Kai."

IN the locker room, the group was sat in silence. Robby spoke up, "come on, guys. We beat Cobra Kai before. We can do it again."

"One more time." Isaiah nodded.

"Let's send our captains into the finals." Miguel glanced at everyone.

"One last time," Sam spoke. "Win or lose, this is the last time we'll ever fight together as a team."

"Damn. I guess I never thought about it like that." Miguel had tears in his eyes, "after everything we've been through, this is..." he paused, "this is it."

"So? How do we wanna go out?" Robby asked the group.

Demetri looked across the room over to Eli, a guilty look spread across his face. "Eli?"

"Dude," Eli stood up, and so did Demetri. "I'm really sorry." With that, the two engulfed each other in a hug. "I didn't mean to hurt you," Eli told him once they pulled apart.

"Oh, I know you didn't. I...I'm just scared of losing my best friend. I'm gonna miss you so much, man."

"Yeah," Eli nodded, "but you're always gonna be my brother." He hugged Demetri again.

"Okay, that's enough," Devon chuckled out, wiping away her tears. "There's no crying in karate."

Miguel stood up, "come on. Come in here, boys." He hugged Demetri and Eli. "You guys are always gonna be my brothers too."

Katherine looked over at the younger LaRusso, "Sam?"

Sam turned to her with a soft smile and the two girls stood up, engulfing each other in a comforting hug. "I'm so sorry about everything."

"Me too." Katherine said with tears forming in her eyes.

Once the two sisters pulled away, Miguel spoke up. "We're a family. All of us."

Robby then stood up, "who are we?"

"You're seriously doing that?" Isaiah breathed out, chuckling.

Robby glanced over at him with a smile and nodded, and everyone answered, "Miyagi-Do."

"Who are we?" Robby asked louder.

"Miyagi-Do!"

"Who are we?"

"Miyagi-Do!" Everyone shouted.

"I said who are we?"

"Miyagi-Do!" Everyone yelled out louder, smiles breaking out on their faces. Just then, the door opened and the two senseis walked inside.

"You know, we did have one real doozy of an inspirational speech planned." Daniel started.

"Looks like you guys beat us to it." Johnny finished off, smiling.

Sam approached, "our senseis taught us well." Daniel side-hugged her, and then he looked over at the older LaRusso, gesturing for her to join in as well. Kat smiled, going over to hug Daniel.

"All right. Enough of this kumbaya crap," Johnny began, "it's time to get out there and kick some Cobra Kai ass!"

"Yeah!" Everyone shouted in triumph, making their way out of the locker room.

"Because both Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai are one and one, whoever wins this match advances. And whoever loses, is eliminated."

"All right. Remember, trust, tag, teamwork." Daniel reminded.

"You got this. Who's in first?" Johnny asked the students. They all looked over at Robby but he shook his head, turning to face Isaiah. "You should go first."

"Are you sure?" He questioned.

"He's right. You'll be a good first." Miguel nodded in agreement.

Isaiah took a deep breath, a look of determination spreading across his face as he nodded. He walked inside the circle, his face contorting into confusion when he saw Tory pushing past Kwon, entering the circle and facing Isaiah.

"What are you doing?"

"Don't act like you don't know." Tory snapped back. Isaiah became even more confused but then his expression turned into one of horror when Tory said, "you and Zara."

"Ready," the referee announced, "fight!"

Tory instantly started throwing punches, and all Isaiah could do was block them because he didn't want to hit the girl. Tory managed to hit Isaiah's shoulder, knocking him down on the ground. He quickly backed away, "Isaiah, tag me in," Sam said.

The boy nodded, immediately clapping Samantha's hand. "How you say, uh, lover's quarrel?" Kwon questioned with a taunting voice from beside the Walker. He then laughed at Isaiah's angry expression when he looked at him.

Sam and Tory fought, and the LaRusso managed to knock Tory to the ground. The blonde's hand was out, and Kwon clapped it, entering the circle.

"How can you be mad at me when you ended things?" Isaiah asked the blonde, glancing at her.

"I said pause, not hook up with our enemies."

"Oh, so it's okay to hook up with your new teammates then, huh?"

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"You and Kwon." Isaiah said, as if it was obvious.

"Point!" The referee yelled when Kwon kicked Sam's stomach.

"Come on, tag me in." Miguel said to Sam, and she did so.

"Cobra Kai. 1-0." The referee announced. Katherine scoffed when she saw Kwon flipping Miguel off.

"There is no me and Kwon, you idiot." Tory told Isaiah.

"What?"

"Your dumb ass got played." Tory deadpanned, turning away from him to watch Miguel and another Cobra Kai opponent fight.

Miguel managed to kick the guy's stomach, causing him to fall to the mat. "Point! Miyagi-Do, 1-1!"

Miguel had tagged in Demetri, and the other fighter tagged in Yoon. Demetri started throwing kicks, to which Yoon easily blocked.

"Demetri, tag me in." Eli said.

Demetri ran towards the Moskowitz, kicking Yoon's shoulder when he tried approaching them. He slapped Hawk's hand.

Eli entered the circle and jumped up, throwing a kick. The two fought a few seconds when Demetri spoke, "now, hurry. Tag me back in."

Eli turned to Demetri and slapped his hand. Demetri kicked and attacked Yoon, "hey, Demetri, Demetri!" Eli yelled.

Demetri circled his way over to Eli, clapping his hand. "Hawk, he's slowing down. Don't let him tag out!" Demetri shouted. "Okay. Now, tag me back in."

"Dude, it's working!" Eli cheered, going over to Demetri. Demetri walked in the circle, immediately kicking Yoon.

Yoon stumbled back from the impact, and Demetri ducked down over to Kenny, clapping his hand. "You got this."

Kenny flipped over Demetri, attacking Yoon. "We got him. He's out of gas." Kenny said.

Kenny launched himself over at Yoon with a punch, but Yoon managed to move away. He looked over at one of the students who was holding his hand out for Yoon to tag in. But by then, Kenny had tagged in Eli and he rushed over, kicking Yoon's stretched out hand.

Eli grabbed Yoon's arm and twisted it around, grabbing his other arm as well. He then raised both his legs, kicking Yoon's stomach.

"Point! Miyagi-Do, 2-1."

Miguel entered the circle and so did Kwon. "Okay, let's go, number two." Kwon said.

The two raised their fists up in the air and Kwon kicked Miguel, but he dodged it. Kwon jumped and spun around, throwing another kick. Miguel moved away and kicked Kwon as well, but it got blocked by his forearm.

The two kept kicking and punching each other, but they kept getting blocked. Kwon was crouched on the mat and Miguel crouched down as well, punching Kwon.

Grabbing his arm, Kwon pushed it back and blocked another one of Miguel's punches. With that, Miguel stood up and Kwon managed to kick his stomach.

"Point, Cobra Kai. 2-2. Next point wins."

Miguel slapped in Robby's hand. "You got this, Robby." Katherine nodded. Once Robby entered the circle, Kwon almost instantly threw a kick to which the Keene dodged.

Kwon laughed, stumbling back a little. "It's about time. Let's see what you got."

The two got in their stance and started fighting. Kwon stumbled back yet again when Robby sent a few kicks.

"Okay." Kwon laughed again, attacking Robby.

Robby blocked all of his hits, moving away from one of Kwon's kicks. Kwon stumbled a little when Robby kicked his shin.

He sent even more kicks to Kwon and he backed away. Another Cobra Kai fighter held out his hand over to Kwon for him to tag in, but he didn't take it, and instead, approaching Robby with an angry look.

After sending a few hits, Robby grabbed Kwon and threw him to the ground, about to punch him. Yet, Kwon managed to stand up, raising his leg to kick him.

Instead, Robby grabbed his leg and threw him to the ground once more, going under Kwon's leg and grabbing a fist full of Kwon's hair, pulling his head back.

Kwon was able to get out of Robby's grip, about to attack him when Robby grabbed his gi, flipping Kwon over him. With that, Robby stood up with a determined look on his face.

Kwon had stood up as well, and the two glared at each other. Kwon started attacking Robby with kicks, causing the Keene to back up into Katherine who held him firmly. Robby moved away from Kwon's incoming kick.

The two fought, and Robby managed to push Kwon away and he stumbled back. Robby then lunged at him, kicking him and making Kwon fall to the ground. He stood back up, and the two yelled.

They ran at each other, jumping up with kicks. They launched their kicks, but Kwon missed. However, Robby had managed to kick his stomach before he fell to the mat.

"Point! Miyagi-Do wins!" The referee announced.

Katherine and Samantha shared a look, wide smiles breaking onto their faces as they rushed towards Robby.

"With the win, Miyagi-Do advances to the tournament of champions! Incredible!"

Katherine hugged Robby in triumph, and once the two pulled away, they shared a small kiss. Once they broke apart, all of the others came rushing at them with open arms to engulf them in a hug.

Johnny made his way over as well with a big smile, hugging Robby. The Cobra Kais walked past them, and when Tory was, Sam spoke up. "I, uh...I wish you could be celebrating with us."

Tory said nothing in response and instead glanced at Isaiah, then walked away.

"She'll come around." Miguel assured.

tbh, i kinda think that the brawl was SOOOO unnecessary. like what?????

but then again, theres nothing much i can do about that
