[SEASON 5: EPISODE 1]

FOR one, there were no words to describe how Katherine was feeling. Her and Isaiah had talked after the tournament, and they had broken up. Neither of them were upset though, Isaiah wanted to be with Tory and Katherine wanted to be with Robby. Therefore, the two still remained good friends.

Robby had quit Cobra Kai, and mended things with Katherine, resulting in the two of them getting together. But even after Katherine got with Robby, she still felt horrible. She couldn't open up to anyone about her feelings despite everyone saying that they were there for her. Because it didn't feel like that for Katherine.

She felt like everything was her fault, for losing the tournament. For losing against Tory, and letting Cobra Kai win. She felt like all the blame was directed towards her―and she couldn't have felt anything more real.

Kreese was in jail. Katherine felt like that was a good thing, and while it was, Silver was poising kids' minds. He had opened more Cobra Kai locations, which just made things even worse. 

Another thing was that Miguel was missing. Not missing, he was looking for his father. She heard about a letter Miguel had left for Johnny. Katherine didn't even know if he was going to come back. But one thing was for sure, that she'd help look for Miguel.

That's the reason why she was currently sitting with Robby in Johnny's car. He was in the store, getting a few things. Robby didn't know that their mission was to look for Miguel.

Johnny wanted Robby to come along so that he could mend their relationship. He had stopped by the LaRusso house to ask Katherine for help, and so here she was. Johnny told her about the mission to find Miguel, and to not tell Robby otherwise he wouldn't come. Katherine agreed instantly, and it had taken Daniel a lot of convincing to let her go, but eventually, he had agreed as well. He thought that by this little trip, it could help Katherine feel a bit better.

Johnny came back with two bags in hand, and red sunglasses on his face as he approached the couple. "Got us some choice supplies for the next leg of our road trip. Mexican Cokes." He took out the three bottles.

"I think here they're just Cokes." Katherine scowled lightly. "Mexican candy." Johnny took out the packet of candy. "Chicharróns." He held the bag out, throwing it on the car seat. "And I just picked up this badass cellphone. It's got 60 minutos on it. That's, like, 300 American minutes," he looked between the two, putting the packet in the car.

"And I got you a little something to say, 'Welcome to Mexico.' Don't tell me it's offensive. We bought it in Mexico. It's their idea." Robby took the little doll in Johnny's hand while Katherine snickered.

He turned to her and gave the doll as Johnny continued, "and here. Gift number two." He took out a dark blue FBI shirt, and Robby took it in his hands, curiosity peaking. "Turn it around." Johnny smiled and he did just that.

Johnny and Katherine laughed, seeing the words 'FEMALE BODY INSPECTOR' imprinted on the shirt. "Isn't that great? I got one for me and Katherine too," 

"So what are we actually doing here?" Robby asked, looking at Johnny. He looked around as Robby continued, "and don't say it's a father-son bonding thing. Because Kat's here, and we could've done that 500 miles ago."

"All right, look," Johnny took off the sunglasses, "this is a father-son bonding thing, and Katherine is helping me not be an asshole. There's just something I have to take care of first."

"YOU have got to be kidding me." Robby said, disbelief lacing his tone. Johnny decided to tell him about the mission to look for Miguel. "You have ever right to be upset." Johnny started.

"How could you take me down to Mexico and not mention once we were coming to get Miguel. "Come on, Robby, let's got down to Mexico together. Come back with some stories.'" Robby looked at Katherine who was in the back seat, watching the scene unfold. "And you knew all along as well. Why didn't you tell me?"

Katherine opened her mouth to reply but Johnny beat her to it. "I wasn't bullshitting you, Robby. I wanna fix our relationship." He looked back at the road, "when I heard Miguel was in trouble, I had to do something. I just couldn't leave you at home. I'm done doing that. Besides, I need your help to find Miguel, and that's another reason why Katherine is here as well."

"Our help? Do you even have a plan?" Robby looked at his father, "of course I do. Miguel's looking for Hector Salazar." Johnny replied.

"What kind of name is that? No offense." Katherine muttered. "I know where the kid gets off the bus. So, that's our first stop." Johnny said.

"When we get there, what do you plan on doing?" Robby asked yet again. "I'll ask around if anyone saw Miguel." He replied calmly. After a few seconds, Robby questioned, "that's the the big plan?"

"Of course not. We come up dry, I'll check the Mexican phone book." Johnny said as if it was the smartest plan in the world. "Oh my God. You drove me and Kat over a thousand miles to check a phone book?" Robby exasperated. "You might as well put Miguel's face on a milk carton."

"They still do that?" Johnny looked at Robby, making Kat silently laugh. "I could be at home right now with Kat. Coming with you was a mistake." Robby concluded.

Johnny sighed, "all right. I'm sorry, okay? I thought this trip would help you and Miguel get over your shit. When we get to the bus station, if you and Katherine wanna buy a ticket home, you guys can go home. I don't want you guys to go home, but-" Johnny was cut off as Robby shouted, "dad, watch out!"

"Shit!" He cursed seeing he was about to hit an incoming car. Johnny quickly turned the steering wheel as fast as he can, making the car go into the grass and hit the brakes. The air of a tire hissed, making the three of them aware that they have a flat tire.

"WHERE the hell did LaRusso hide the lug wrench?" Johnny looked around the trunk. Sighing, Robby let go of Kat's hand and walked over to the trunk, taking it out. "I lived in here, remember?" He held it out for Johnny.

Johnny took it from his grasp, "of course I remember." The three of them followed Johnny as he walked to the broken tire.

"How the hell'd you get this car anyway?" Robby leaned against the car door, crossing his arms. "We went looking for you." Johnny gestured to him and Katherine, before kneeling down to fix the tire. "After you went missing, me, Katherine and LaRusso tried to find you. We found this hunk of junk instead. We found some pissant driving it instead of you. We chased him to a chop shop. Ended up fighting the douchebags that stole it."

"I had no idea." Robby's gaze flickered to Katherine with a warm smile to which she returned. "I know I haven't been there for you, Robby. More times than I can count. But I've also failed Miguel. Hell, I'm reason he ran off in the first place." Johnny stood up, "I'm out here trying to fix my mistakes so I don't have to live with regret. If you're serious about makings things right, you can start by helping Miguel. I know you have your fair share of regrets when it comes to him. I'm gonna call Carmen. I'll be right back. Finish taking these off." Robby took the lug wrench from Johnny as he walked away to call Carmen.

"He's not wrong." Katherine spoke. Robby looked at her, smiling slightly. "I know, it's just... Miguel and I, we're not exactly on good terms."

"I get it. I mean, that's how I feel about Lilah. Except, I don't think I'm ever going to become besties with her." She looked down, sighing before looking back up, "my point is, you should listen to Johnny."

He nodded, approaching her, "you always know what to say." Kat smiled, "I try." Robby chuckled, lowering his head and capturing her lips in a soft kiss. They pulled away after a few seconds, both looking at each other with practically heart eyes.

Robby turned away and kneeled down to fix the tire.

 "THE bus leaves from here. Si?" Johnny asked some random person. "Here, yes." He replied, "okay. Thank you." Johnny approached Robby and Kat. "All right, the next bus leaves in a few hours. This'll buy your guys' tickets." He held out some money, "this is for some drinks and snacks."

Johnny walked past them, making the two frown as they turned to look at Johnny. "Where are you goin?" Katherine asked. Johnny turned around, "ticket guy thinks he saw Miguel talking to these surfers. I'm gonna ask around. Sorry I dragged you into this, Robby." Johnny walked to the surfers.

Katherine and Robby watched their interaction, until they both saw someone with some sort of string and he was behind Johnny, prepared to choke him with it. The two shared a glance at each other before they rushed at Johnny. Robby quickly punched the guy.

"Would you look at that?" One of the guys said, trying to punch Johnny but he blocked it. Katherine saw a random guy rushing at her, attempting to send a punch.

She grabbed the guy's hand and twisted it, flipping him to the ground. She kicked a few other guys, when she saw Johnny kick through a surf board the guy was using to shield himself. Robby ran at him and kicked him in the stomach.

Johnny took one of the halves of the broken surfboard, and smacked the guy hardly. He threw it on the ground and the three turned away, "adios, dickheads." Johnny called out.

The three were by the car, drinking the Cokes Johnny had bought from the store. "This trip was a disaster from jump. You're right. It was a mistake to bring you and Katherine."

"No it wasn't." Katherine denied. "Some of it was." Robby started, "technically, you kidnapped and transported two minors across the border. But we got a good story out of it."

"Yeah, we did." Johnny smiled. "Your bus'll be here soon. You both should go. This is my mess to clean up."

"You're right, but..." Robby trailed off, "but we're gonna stay. You're trying to make things right and I wanna help you. At least now we know where we're going. X marks the spot, right?" He looked between the two.

"All right." Johnny nodded. The three laughed as Johnny put a hand over both of their shoulders.
