[SEASON 4: EPISODE 5]

"YOUR dad is pissed. Who is that guy?" Miguel asked the two girls as everyone eavesdropped on the conversation behind the door. "We have no idea." Katherine said. "He's never talked about him before?" Isaiah asked, earning a nod in confirmation. "He looks like a Highlander." Commented Bert. "The Highlander. There can only be one." Nate corrected.

"Okay. Okay, I tried." Said Silver. "We'll still hold our students to a moratorium on fighting before the tournament, for what it's worth. Provided, of course, you do the same." He pointed at Daniel.

"Just remember our deal." Kreese spoke up. "If Cobra Kai wins the All Valley, you two are done teaching. For good." He concluded. "That's not gonna happen, cause you're not gonna win." Daniel looked at Silver, "Now get the hell out of here." Silver shook his head and left.

"Has it really come down to this?" Kreese asked Johnny when it was just the two of them. "Johnny Lawrence playing second fiddle to little Danny LaRusso?" "No one's second fiddle." Replied Johnny. "This is my dojo as much as it is his." He gestured. "Really? Sign out front says Miyagi-Do." Kreese said.

"Unless you want it crammed up your ass sideways, you'd better take off after your bridge partner." Johnny looked at him with a stern look. Kreese chuckled, walking away.

"Alright, who the hell was that?" Johnny asked Daniel, referring to Silver as he took a stand next to him.

"VIETNAM vet turned businessman. Had a few ups and downs, but still turned out pretty rich. Not much dirt, other than some toxic waste scandal in Borneo back in the '80s." Demetri told Hawk and Kat as they walked down the school halls. "Sounds like a Renaissance man." Hawk said. "How'd you even find out his name?" Katherine asked. "I took a picture at the dojo, found an old facial recognition beta test and tweaked the code to make it compatible with HEIC," He closed the tablet.

"I love it when you talk nerdy." Yasmine came in, Moon behind her. "You are both the first and my favorite person to say that." Demetri pointed. Yasmine giggled, the both of them sharing a kiss. Kat looked away, seeing Moon and Hawk interact.

"I-I like the new hue. Purple's the color of the crown chakra, you know? It symbolizes enlightenment." Moon said, Katherine smiling cheekily as Eli started blushing.

"Uh, yeah, that's what I was going for. So..." He smiled. Demetri and Yasmine exchanged a few words, before her and Moon leaving. Demetri blew a kiss, Kat laughing at the dreamy look in his eye. "All right, no offense, but I have no idea how you pulled that off." Hawk put an arm around Demetri. Katherine nodded, putting her hand around Hawk, the three of them staring ahead. "You and me both."

"Neither do I. I guess I was just myself, and somehow that worked. What about you and Moon? Did I detect a note of rapprochement in the air?" Demetri teased.

"We're just getting used to being friends again. Besides, she has a girlfriend, so.." Hawk trailed off. Kat furrowed her brows. She remembered when Moon told her that her and Piper broke up. "You mean Piper? Oh no. That's over. They broke up, like, weeks ago." Katherine spoke up, her and Demetri walking away.

"Weeks?" Hawk asked, his voice laced with hope as he approached Kat quickly, "One week? Five weeks? How many weeks is 'weeks'?" Asked Hawk.

Before she could respond, Miguel, Isaiah and Sam came over. "Yo. You guys won't believe this. Sensei got drunk and went on a Twitter rant." Miguel held out his phone to the three of them. "I believe everything except for the part where he knows how to tweet." Demetri said, taking the phone to get a better look at it. "Same." Isaiah said.

"Looks like he and Sensei LaRusso are a gonna have a rematch." Miguel spoke. "They're really gonna fight? Like five year old children?" Kat asked. "Apparently. Should've seen this coming." Samantha replied.

"Who does he even think he's tweeting to? You and Kat are, like, his only followers." Demetri said. "I don't know. He seems serious about it." Miguel stressed. "So, this is real? Sensei and Sensei are gonna throw down?" Hawk asked, excitement flashing in his eyes as everyone nodded in confirmation. "That's awesome." He smiled. Scowling, Katherine smacked his arm. "I mean, totally not awesome." Hawk sputtered.

"HEY. Why aren't you two in school?" Daniel asked the two sisters who had just came home. "Uh, we only had study hall left, so I played the cramps card and Sam played the sick card and then we came home." Katherine said, the two girls putting their backpacks aside.

"You played the..." Daniel trails off, shaking his head, walking toward them. "So what, you two are skipping class now?"

"No, we're not skipping. We're just setting our own schedule." Katherine defended, Samantha nodding in agreement. "What about you? Why aren't you at work?" Sam asked. "I, uh, wasn't feeling well. I had a bit of a rough night." Daniel responded.

"Makes sense. We saw Johnny's tweets. Everybody at school's talking about the fight." Said Kat. "Oh, great." Daniel muttered sarcastically.

"So, what did you do to set him off?" She asked. "What did I do?" Daniel looked at her in disbelief. "That guy gets set off by anything. Okay? That's the problem here, Kat. I've tried to make this work and Johnny's impossible." He continued.

"No, he's not. He just has a different style." Kat defended yet again. "It's not a different style. It's the wrong style." Daniel retorted. "Okay? Now's not the time to be aggressive. Trust me."

"Does this have something to do with the guy who showed up at the dojo with Kreese?" Asked Sam from beside Kat. "Yes, he's the one who lured me into Cobra Kai when I was young." Daniel replied, looking at his younger daughter. "It was only through Mr. Miyagi's teachings that I was able to snap out of it. So, right now, we have to double-down on Miyagi-Do."

"So, what, no more Eagle Fang? Johnny's never gonna go for that." Katherine said. "Yeah, yeah. So he says. That's how this whole thing started. But don't worry. There's not gonna be any fight." Daniel responded as Sam opened the fridge, grabbing a drink.

Katherine crossed her arms, "Of course not. Miyagi-Do is all about avoiding fights whenever possible." Daniel looked at her, "Yes. It is. And since when do you have a problem with that?" He asked, a curious look crossing his face. "Since a psycho put a knife on my neck. Johnny says if we keep taking shit, they're gonna keep coming at us." Katherine argued. "That's what Johnny says? I'm sorry, Kat, uh, whose side are you on?" Daniel asked.

"I'm not on anybody's side. I just wanna learn both styles so I have twice the techniques if I have to face Lilah at the tournament." Katherine defended.

"I agree with Kat. I wanna learn both styles as well in case I have to face Tory at the tournament." Sam spoke up. "You sure you can wait that long? Your mom told me about the party. It seems you're doing the instigating." Daniel looked at her.

"Come on. Compared to what Tory's done? That was nothing." "I get that." Daniel cut off before Sam could say anything else. "But, we don't believe in aggression. That's not how we act."

"Maybe that's not how you act, but we can make our own decisions." Katherine said before walking away. "What's going on with her? Is she still upset at me for calling the cops on Robby?" Daniel asked Sam.

"I don't know, but she's got a point. To be honest, dad, I really don't see the point of this fight. Nobody does." Samantha replied as she threw the cap of the drink on the table, walking away as well.

FINALLY the night came, everyone showed up at Miyagi-Do to witness the Johnny and Daniel fight. "He's here. he's here, he's here!" Chris said, putting his selfie stick out and recording Johnny walking up to the sparring deck. "Anything you wanna say to the camera, Sensei Lawrence?" Chris asked yet Johnny ignored him.

"What are all the kids doing here?" Johnny asked Daniel. "That's what happens when you broadcast your life all over social media." Daniel responded.

"Maybe there's a better way." Johnny started. "There is. You just won't admit it." Daniel said. "Don't you ever think you might be wrong about anything?" Johnny asked, shaking his head in disbelief.

"What are we doing here? Wanna rehash your baseless argument from last night in front of these kids?" Daniel asked.

"No. I want what's best for them." Johnny replied. "What's best for them is Miyagi-Do. If fighting you is the only way I can get there, let's just get this done." Daniel said, making Katherine scoff. She couldn't believe that her father was so obsessed with Miyagi-Do, and he's not even considering about what she or Sam wants, or about Johnny.

"You okay?" Isaiah asks from beside her. "Yeah. Hey, uh, you know where Eli is?" Katherine's brows furrowed, only just realizing he isn't here. "No," he shook his head, his own brows creasing together.

Kat nodded, deciding to brush it aside for now. "All right, LaRusso. Let's finish this." Johnny says.

After Johnny put on his gi, Katherine and Miguel were the score keepers. "Face us." Miguel said to both senseis. "Bow." Miguel and Johnny bowed, Kat and Daniel bowing. "Face each other." Katherine said. "Bow." They both bowed, getting in their fighting stance.

"Ready. Fight!" They started fighting, Johnny sending punches and a few kicks. He managed to land a point on Daniel's stomach. "Point, Lawrence." Katherine held the flag. She caught the slight saddened look Daniel sent her, but she brushed it off.

"Sensei Lawrence strikes first!" Chris said to the camera. "True to the motto painted on his former dojo wall, and carved into his being." Mitch continued. Chris sent him a look, to which Mitch replied, "What? I'm trying to capture the spirit of the thing."

"Score, 1-0 Lawrence." Miguel reminded, both getting in their fighting stance again. "Ready! Fight!" Kat said. Johnny sent a kick to Daniel's shin, Daniel blocking it and approaching Johnny, sending him punches to which he blocked. He managed to send a kick to Johnny's stomach.

"Point, LaRusso!" Miguel held the flag. They got in their fighting positions again, "Score is 1-1. Ready!" Miguel started. "Fight!" Katherine finished. Johnny immediately sent kicks and punches, going toward Daniel as he blocked all of them. After a few more kicks and punches, Daniel was able to punch his stomach.

Katherine held the flag which signaled that Johnny earned a point. "Hell yeah! Two-to-one. LaRusso takes the lead." Chris said to the camera. "All he has to do is score one more point and LaRusso is the winner." Mitch continued.

"Score is 2-1, LaRusso. Ready!" Miguel started. "Fight!" Katherine said. Johnny started punching, but Daniel blocked them and hit his elbow, making it numb. "What the hell, man?" Johnny asked. As Daniel was about to send a punch, Johnny kicked him, knocking him to the ground and kicking his stomach again.

"Point, Lawrence!" Miguel held the flag out. They stood up, "Got any more dirty tricks up your sleeve?" Johnny said to Daniel.

"I'm not the one who fights dirty." Daniel defended. "Score is 2-2." Miguel said. "Next point wins." Katherine reminded. "Ready!" Miguel started, "Fight!" Katherine finished. They started fighting, Daniel pushing Johnny to the ground. Though, he quickly stood up and blocked all of Daniel's punches and kicks, pushing Daniel into the wooden pole.

Johnny attempted to kick him, but Daniel blocked, regaining his composure. Daniel sent more punches, Johnny being able to block them all and he sent a kick to Daniel's stomach. Daniel dodged it as Johnny sent another kick to his face, Daniel blocking that one as well.

Daniel sent a kick, Johnny blocking it with his hands. Though, when they turned around, Daniel attempted to send a kick to Johnny's face as he tried to send a punch to Daniel's face. But, they both fell at the impact of each other's hit, making it hard to notice who had won.

"Point, Lawrence!" Katherine held the flag at the same time Miguel said, "Point, LaRusso!" They looked at each other, "Are you sure?" Miguel asked. "Are you sure?" She asked as well.

"Check the replay." Demetri reminded. They all looked at the video, seeing both of them hitting each other at the same time. "Go to another angle." Johnny said.

"There is no other angle." Chris frowned. "Don't you guys have another phone?" Johnny asked as Eli came in, a sad look on his face with his hood up. "Eli?" Katherine asked, immediately going to him.

"Shit. Eli, what happened?" Demetri asked. He took off his hood, revealing his shaved hair. Katherine widened her eyes in shock as Johnny walked to him. "Who did this?" He asked. "Cobra Kai." Eli looked down.

"Kreese and Silver did this. They need to pay." Johnny concluded. "Jesus, Johnny. Please. Kreese tried to kill you. You wanna fight them both?" Daniel asked.

"Damn right. Look what they did." Johnny gestured to Hawk. "Dousing the fire with gasoline, that's your answer? Why am I not surprised?" Daniel shook his head.

"Sensei, stop." Miguel said. "You still think your way is the only way. You were so proud when they pulled their little sprinkler prank the other day. But, if they stood their ground and kicked some ass like I taught them, this never would've happened." Johnny countered to Daniel.

"If they fight every time they're provoked, where does that lead? Back to the hospital? Or to jail? Just cause you spent time in both-" Daniel got cut off by Katherine.

"Enough, dad." "What?" Daniel asked, looking at her. "Johnny's right. It doesn't matter how many times we stand up to Cobra Kai, if we don't strike back, they're gonna keep coming at us." She finalized.

Daniel looked at Johnny, "And you were worried about my influence on your kids? Is this what you want, Johnny? To have my daughter and the rest of my students acting like you?" He sighed.

"You don't have to worry about it anymore. Cause we're done." Johnny concluded. "Works for me." Daniel nodded. Johnny stared at him for a few seconds before turning away, "Eagle Fangs, let's go." With that, they all walked out of the dojo.
