[SEASON 2: EPISODE 10]
"YOU OKAY THERE?" Isaiah asked Katherine as he helped her walk to his bedroom.
"Yeah, I think I'm fine." Katherine nodded in appreciation, sitting down on the bed. "Thanks for bringing me here. If my parents see me like this, they'll freak out." She said.
He let out a small laugh, trying to lighten the dim mood. "Of course." He nodded.
"Wait, wouldn't your parents mind?"
Katherine saw the way Isaiah looked at the floor for a moment before he forced himself to look up and meet her curious eyes. "My dad has a night shift, and my mom isn't around."
"Oh." Was all Katherine could say in that moment. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked."
"It's okay." Isaiah assured, taking a seat next to her on the bed. "My mom actually lives with my sister. I don't really visit her much."
Surprise coats Katherine's features at the revelation that he had a sister. "You have a sister? And you didn't think to tell me before?"
Isaiah pursed his lips, shrugging his shoulders. "Slipped my mind, I guess."
Katherine sent him a deadpanned look. "You didn't tell me you have a sister because it slipped your mind?" She raised her eyebrows, repeating his words with sarcasm. Isaiah shrugged in response. "Okay, then."
"Alright." Isaiah exhaled rather loudly as he stood up from the bed. "You can sleep here. I'll be in the living room if you need me for anything."
"Are you sure about me taking your bed? I could just sleep on the couch." Katherine offered, not wanting to feel like she was intruding. She stood up as well, ready to leave the room.
"No, no." He shook his head almost instantly. "It's okay. I want you to have a good sleep. Besides, I'll be fine on the couch." He assured with a nod.
She pursed her lips in a thin line, contemplating for a moment. Then, Katherine nodded, almost hesitantly. "Okay."
Isaiah sent her one last smile before he marched out of his bedroom. Katherine laid on the bed, snuggling into the blankets as she closed her eyes.
A deep, exhausted sigh left her lips, and she started to think about the argument she had with Robby at the party. It played in her mind repeatedly. The hurtful words he had said made her heart throb painfully.
But she wanted to stay strong. She wasn't about to let Robby say a few hurtful words to her and make her heart break again. Katherine turned to her side, her eyes opening. She couldn't sleep. It was like she wanted sleep, but she couldn't.
Then, Katherine started to worry about her younger sister. She wondered if she was okay, and she wondered if she went back home with Robby. She wondered if Samantha had told their parents everything that had happened at the party.
And this went on for almost the whole night. Katherine would replay that argument with Robby in her mind, or worry about Samantha and Anthony. She was also worried about her parents, and mostly worried about herself because she knew that she was going to get into trouble when they find out about the party.
All of these thoughts somehow made Katherine drift off into a slumber, the exhaustion hitting her with a brutal force. Before she even knew it, morning came around. The soft glow of the sunlight shone through the curtains of Isaiah's bedroom, hitting Katherine's face delicately.
She felt the sunlight on her face, and she stirred. She moved so that she was laying on her back, and slowly, her eyes fluttered open. A yawn escaped her lips. She brought her hand up to her face and rubbed her eyes to get rid of the sleepiness that was still lingering.
She inhaled a deep breath when she fully stood up from the bed. She went to the bathroom to freshen up before making her way out of the bedroom. The sweet smell of pancakes filled her nostrils as she neared the kitchen.
"You made pancakes?" Katherine asked Isaiah, raising her eyebrows.
Isaiah turned around to face her, flashing her a toothy smile. "Morning. And yes, I made pancakes." He turned back around and used the spatula he was holding in his hand to pick the pancake up from the pan, placing it down on a plate.
He placed a few more pancakes on top, and then held out the plate to Katherine. "There's syrup and butter on the table." Isaiah said.
"Thanks." Katherine smiled gratefully, taking the plate. She went over to the table and took a seat.
But before she could even grab the bottle of syrup that sat in the middle of the table, a knock echoed through the door. Isaiah came out of the kitchen and went to open the door.
Daniel LaRusso stood outside with an angry look, practically fuming. His hair was disheveled, and he looked like he just crashed into something.
Katherine stood up with wide eyes, gulping at the sight of her dad in the doorway. "Dad."
Daniel pushed himself inside, not even asking for permission to enter the house nor acknowledging Isaiah's presence. "Katherine."
"Dad, look, I―"
"Don't even." Daniel shook his head firmly, pointing at her. "You could've called me or Mom. But instead, you decide to go someone's house after a party. Do you even know how worried me and your mom have been?"
"Dad, I just―"
Daniel cut her off again. "And on top of that, you were supposed to watch over Sam and Anthony. Do you have any idea where Sam was last night?"
"I know Sam went with Robby." Katherine finally spoke with a loud voice, not letting her dad cut her off for a third time. "And I trust him with her."
"Well, I don't." Daniel snapped. "Either way, Katherine, you're supposed to take care of your sister, not leave her with someone else."
Katherine didn't speak, because she knew that he was right. She should've done a better job at watching over Samantha and Anthony.
Daniel took a deep breath. "Alright, let's go."
...
WHEN they arrived at school, Daniel pulled up in front. "You had to pull up right in front?" Samantha asked from the back seat annoyedly.
"If you wanted to drive your own car today, you wouldn't have done what you did." Daniel replied with a firm tone.
Samantha let out an exasperated breath. "Dad, how many times do I have to tell you I'm sorry? I made a mistake."
"Everyone makes mistakes." Daniel nodded in understanding. "But when you get in trouble, you come to me or your mom. Not that guy. Both of you." He looked at Katherine.
"I'm sorry I didn't come to you and mom. But that was my fault, not Robby's."
"I thought I could help him, but he's got his own family. I need to focus on mine." Daniel finalized. "Just do me a favor, both of you. This year, just concentrate on precalculus, okay?"
...
"GOOD morning, students and faculty. Welcome to a brand-new year at West Valley High. I hope you all had a wonderful summer and are ready to dive back into the school year. You can also purchase tickets for the fall musical, which will be a production of the global hit, Grease. And finally, as we embark upon another academic year, it's important to remember to be tolerant and accepting of all of our peers, regardless of-"
"Hey! You're not supposed to be in here! Give that back! Ow!"
"Samantha LaRusso. You know what you did, and now you're gonna pay for it. I'm coming for you, bitch!" Tory's voice came. Kat's eyes widened, and she looked at Sam who was sitting beside her.
The bell rings and everyone gets up, walking out of the classroom. Katherine grabbed Sam's hand for comfort as they both walked down the hall, coming to a stop when they saw Tory in front. Tory started circling Sam, Sam doing the same thing, both looking at each other. "I saw what you did at the party. You kissed Miguel." Tory revealed.
"Oh!" Everyone says. "I... I..." Before Sam could get a word in, Tory threw a punch, Sam blocking it. Sam tried to run away but Tory grabbed her bag, pulling her back, and kicking her stomach. "Get back in there!" Hawk said as they pushed Sam towards Tory. They kept on fighting, Tory pushing Sam into the lockers.
Robby pulls Tory away, asking Sam if she's okay. Tory grabs Robby and Robby pushes her into the lockers, "Stop!"
"Hey!" Miguel shouts, pushing Robby to the ground. "Oh, it is on!" Hawk shouts, pushing Bert and Nate out of the way. Everyone starts fighting each other, and Lilah, she runs towards Katherine, pushing her into the lockers. "What's your problem?" Kat shouts, pushing Lilah away. "You, bitch." Lilah lunges to her, sending a kick but Katherine blocking it.
Lilah starts to send more kicks and punches, Katherine trying to block them. Lilah managed to get a kick to her stomach, Katherine being pushed back into the crowd. The people push her back to Lilah and she grabs Katherine's shoulders, bringing her knee up and kicking her stomach repeatedly.
She managed to pull away, pushing Lilah away. Katherine punched her across the face, sending Lilah into the wall. Lilah looks at Kat with an angry look and runs to her, sending another kick to her stomach. Katherine stumbles back, and runs to Lilah, kicking her face, making Lilah fall to the ground. Lilah quickly stands up, punching her stomach and kicking her legs. Katherine falls to the floor. Before she could even get up, Lilah pulls her up by her hair, punching Katherine across the face repeatedly. Katherine brings her hands up to Lilah's chest, pushing her away.
Lilah looks at Katherine just as the doors open. Lilah runs to Katherine and pushes her on the ground where the stairwell is. Katherine gets up quickly, and everybody from upstairs comes down to watch the brawl. Lilah kicks her stomach, and then sends another kick to her face, making Katherine fall to the ground at the same time Sam did, but they both quickly got up.
"Can't you just stop it already?" Sam shouts. "What's the matter? You can't keep up?" Tory taunted, trying to kick Sam as she ran up the stairs. Not focusing, Lilah came to Katherine and pushed her down on the stairs, Katherine letting out a small scream.
She pulls Katherine up, throwing her on the landing stairs, making her bump into the railing. Katherine quickly gets up, pushing Lilah down the stairs. Katherine ran up the stairs to the second level. Lilah, runs up the stairs as fast as she could. Katherine turns around, seeing Lilah in front of her. "Go, Lilah!" Someone shouts from the crowd.
Lilah runs to her, punching her across the face and kicking her stomach, knocking Katherine into one of the poles. Katherine manages to get up, kicking Lilah's stomach. She grabs Lilah's shoulders, throwing her to the ground and getting on top of her, punching her face.
Lilah flips her over, grabbing Katherine and pushing her into the railing. Lilah grabs her pocket knife, and Katherine's eyes widened.
Lilah ran towards her, Katherine pushing Lilah into the railing. Lilah turns around and runs towards Katherine again, this time swinging her knife around. She punches Katherine with her other arm across the face, slicing Kat's arm with the knife.
"Ah!" Kat yelps as she falls to the ground. "You like that, you bitch?" Lilah sneers. Katherine yells and stands up, running to Lilah and pushing her to the ground. She manages to grab the knife from Lilah's hand and throw it away. Lilah pushes Katherine, standing back up.
Kat stumbles back, her eyes going to Robby and Miguel. Distracted, she didn't see Lilah coming towards her. Lilah grabbed Kat, throwing her onto the ground.
Finding her knife, Lilah grabs it and just as Katherine got up, Lilah swings the knife in front of her face, slicing across Katherine's nose. Kat yelps again, grabbing Robby's attention. Katherine is pushed to the ground as Miguel grabs Robby, giving him an elbow to the ribs.
Katherine gets up once again, kicking Lilah's face. Lilah stumbles back and when she sends a kick as well, Katherine grabs her leg and flips her to the ground. Lilah yells, quickly standing up and sending a punch.
Katherine blocks it, sending an elbow to the ribs, making Lilah stumble back again. Katherine takes this opportunity to push Lilah down the stairs.
"She doesn't love you. She loves me!" Miguel shouts, grabbing Katherine's attention. Robby roars and kicks Miguel into the wall.
They continue fighting, Miguel managing to flip Robby to the ground. He grabs Robby's arm, twisting it, about to break it when Miguel remembers something.
"I'm sorry." He finally says, letting Robby's arm go. Robby yells and sends an elbow, kicking Miguel's leg and kicking his stomach, making Miguel fall off the railing.
"Ah!" Katherine shouts, seeing Miguel fall. "Miguel!" Tory shouts.
Robby runs to the railing, seeing Miguel unconscious on the stairs. "Clear the way! Clear the way! We need an ambulance at West Valley High." The officer shouts. "Robby, what did you do?" Katherine shouts, making Robby look at her. He looks back at Miguel, and runs away.
Katherine immediately made her way down the stairs, her and Sam kneeling down to Miguel.

AFTER getting stitches, Daniel was comforting the both of them, as Sam was on the other bed next to Kat's. "It's all right now, ok? Everything's gonna be all right."
Amanda was next to Katherine, "I'm gonna make sure these girls get expelled."
"I don't care about Tory. I just Miguel to be ok." Sam sobbed. "I can't believe Robby would do that." Daniel said. "It's all my fault." Sam said. "What? No. No. No, don't say that, Sam. It's none of your guys' fault."

"HEY, where are they? I got them their favorite sandwich from il Tramezzino." Daniel walked into the hospital room. "Still waiting for them to get back from their X-rays. Now the doctor thinks that Kat has a sprained ankle and that Sam might have cracked a rib." Amanda replied.
"Oh god." Daniel sighs. "This has to stop, Daniel." Amanda stated. "I know, you're right. I know, I swear. I'm not gonna let Cobra Kai get away with this. I'm not-"
"Enough with Cobra Kai. Don't you see what this stupid rivalry has done? Both our daughters are in the hospital. No more karate." Said Amanda. "Ok. All right. Amanda, I know, you're right."
"No more karate. It's over." Amanda stated before walking away.
