[SEASON 6: EPISODE 2]

"SAM!" Daniel shouted, rushing to the living room where both sisters were seated. He placed a box down on the coffee table, and opened it to show Sam what was inside. "It's your new laptop."

Sam gasped, "it came already?" She picked it up, observing it for a second. "Thanks, dad." She smiled up at him. "It's really gonna help me for college."

"Hey, can I get a new laptop too? I think mine's broken," Katherine spoke, a slight hesitant look in her eyes.

"Kat, what are you talking about? Your laptop works just fine." Daniel protested. With her brows furrowed, she reluctantly argued back, "but it crashes most of the time."

"Then save up and buy your own laptop." He nodded. "You're an adult now, and it's good for you to make some money and save up." Katherine refrained herself from scoffing. It was always like this. Whenever she had asked even for something small, Daniel would always say that.

"That's not fair. You bought Sam a laptop," she gestured to the box on the coffee table. "And she's an adult too."

Daniel frowned, "don't argue with me, Katherine. This is basically an early gift for Sam's birthday."

She scoffed, muttering under her breath, "bullshit."

"What was that?" Samantha had the nerve to ask, narrowing her eyes at her older sister.

"Mind your own business." Kat snapped, turning her head to look at her. "Katherine." Daniel warned, "don't talk to your sister like that."

"Seriously?" She looked up at her dad in disbelief. Her eyes flickered between the two as Sam crossed her arms, looking at her defiantly. "Whatever." She muttered before standing up and walking upstairs.

ROBBY and Katherine sat in the food court, eating lunch together. She had bought a subway whilst Robby bought a burger.

"So, are you planning to go to college?" Katherine asked, looking up to meet his green eyes. Robby was caught off guard by the question, but he composed himself. "I―I don't really know." He stumbled on his words.

Kat visibly felt a little better. She was glad that she wasn't the only one to feel this way about college. "Me neither. My dad seems to think I have it all figured out, but the truth is, I don't."

"Really?" He furrowed his brows. Kat nodded, "yeah. If I'm being honest, I don't even know if I actually want to go to college. I might just take a gap year."

"How does your dad feel about that?" Robby asked, taking a bite of his burger. She opened her mouth to say something, but no words came out. She looked down at her subway, a wave of hesitation washing over her.

The truth was, inside, she was scared. She hadn't told Daniel yet, and she was afraid of how he might react.

"I haven't told him about it." She answered finally, flickering her eyes up to meet his. Robby's eyebrows slightly raised, "you should definitely tell him. Maybe he can help you figure everything out."

"I don't even know the right time to tell him. He's either at the dojo or helping Sam with something. So, I'm probably just going to tell Mom."

"Is it always like that?"

"Yeah," she said in a quiet tone. "And to be honest, I don't really care." She was lying. A part of her did care. She wanted a that sort of relationship with Daniel. Because seeing Sam and Daniel so close with each other, it just made a small part of her break. Every time.

"Are you lying?" He asked slowly, looking at her blue eyes. He always knew when she was lying, he had remarked that every time she would lie, her nose would scrunch up and she would look down. It was a habit.

She settled her gaze on him, "no." she lied yet again.

Robby laughed slightly, "I know when you're lying. But if you don't want to tell me about it, then I won't push you."

A small smile formed on her lips, "thanks." She opened her mouth to say something again, but Robby stole her subway and took a bite of it. She gasped dramatically, "hey!" she snatched her subway back, glaring at him.

Robby laughed at her face, and not a second later, Katherine started laughing as well.

KATHERINE had picked up a few brochures for colleges from school. After that, she decided to go to the store to buy a few snacks since she was planning on watching a movie.

Walking inside the store, she went to the snack aisle and started scanning the candy before grabbing a few packets. She also grabbed a bag of chips, and then made her way to the cashier to pay for them.

When she turned around to walk out of the store, Lilah came inside. Her eyes landed on Katherine and she scoffed.

Katherine made her way to the door, attempting to walk past her. "What are you doing here?" Lilah asked, eyeing the girl down. Kat stopped in her tracks and looked at her with an annoyed expression. "What does it look like?" She smiled sarcastically, holding up the bag in which contained all of the snacks.

"What does it look like?" Lilah mocked her tone, purposefully raising her voice higher as if to sound like a chipmunk.

"I don't talk like that," she snapped back. Rolling her eyes, Katherine decided to ignore her.

When she attempted to walk away again, Lilah retorted, "yeah, you sound like a little bitch." Katherine stopped yet again, clenching her jaw. She took a deep breath to compose herself and finally walk out of the store.

KATHERINE was halfway through her movie when a knock on her door interrupted. She paused the movie and turned her head towards the door, seeing Sam enter. Katherine rolled her eyes, "what do you want?"

"Chill out. I was just going to ask if you've seen my charger." Samantha retorted, annoyance laced in her tone.

"It's on the table," she gestured. Katherine resumed the movie as Sam walked past the TV to get to the table. She grabbed her charger and then just stood there, as if contemplating something. Katherine narrowed her eyes at her before speaking up, "can you go now?" Her voice came out pretty harsh than she intended.

Sam snapped out of her daze, looking at her older sister irritatingly, "and why should I leave, huh?"

"So I can watch my movie." Katherine snapped.

"What is up with you?" Samantha retorted, anger bubbling up. Katherine paused the movie once again and before she could say anything, the words flew out of Sam's mouth harshly, "lately, you've been acting so selfish."

"Selfish?" Kat stood up from her bed, "what do you mean I'm selfish? You're the one who wants to start arguments every now and then. And you're still holding a grudge against me ever since the party."

"Well, so are you, apparently. I mean, is this about the laptop? You know, you should stop complaining. You always whine about how you're not getting anything when here you are, eating snacks that you bought." Sam stepped closer to her.

"You're such a little bitch," Katherine said rather angrily. Sam opened her mouth to reply, but Katherine pointed to her door, "get out of my room."

Samantha scoffed, walking over to the door. She looked back at Katherine, "you're also a little bitch."

"I don't give a shit about what you think. Get out." Katherine snapped once more. Sam rolled her eyes and walked out of the room―slamming the door shut.
