DAPHNE PAXTON felt invisible all her life. She longed to have a family after losing hers during vacation when the Battle of New York happened. She should have died that day but instead was taken in by SHIELD after discovering she was exposed to a Chitauri energy core. Enduring years of experimentation and training until HYDRA's uprising caused the fall of SHIELD and was forced to leave everything behind again. But when she found Bucky or rather he saved her, they slowly started to find solace despite their loss.

BOB REYNOLDS felt like he never belonged. Having a troubled past in his childhood from his father's abuse which made him spiral into an addiction later on. Until he volunteered for a procedure of a superhuman project via serum, hoping to better himself but instead gained a dark and destructive entity. He was considered 'unstable' and was meant to be forgotten, nonexistent to the world as he was put into a suspended animation pod. Stuck in an O.X.E. facility until he eventually meets a group of misfits, recognizing someone similar to him.

THEY COMPLEMENTED each other. She brought light to those around her despite the darkness she's endured. While his darkness cast a shadow that only a few could bring out in the light. Both share something in common of being used for their abilities, uncovering the truth of the government by working together. Hoping to control an internal battle against their imaginary enemies and learn to embrace their flaws and powers. But what if they defeat against all the odds, at the cost of everything they've ever known?
